As a partner, I wanted to be prepared to support my wife during labor, but there’s only so much you can anticipate. Having Nolwenn as part of our team made a significant difference. From the start, she provided clear, practical guidance and helped us navigate decisions leading up to the birth of our daughter. She also gave us insights into the hospital system and suggested we switch to the midwifery team to better align with our birth preferences—something we wouldn’t have known to consider without her input, but turned out to be invaluable.

What stood out most about Nolwenn being with us in the delivery room was how she helped my wife and I understand and process what was happening in real time. She supported us in asking the right questions and confidently advocating for our birth plan. Throughout labor, Nolwenn provided steady support for both of us. She coached my wife through contractions, used counterpressure techniques to help with discomfort, and helped her stay focused. Just as importantly, she made sure I knew how to be actively involved. Having her there allowed me to support my wife much more effectively and intentionally.

Thanks to Nolwenn’s guidance, we felt informed and supported during the entire process. Her grounded presence made a real difference in how we experienced labor and the life-changing moment of our daughter’s birth. If you’re an expecting parent—especially a partner who wants to be supportive but isn’t totally sure how—she will coach both you and your spouse to have the best birth experience possible. We are endlessly grateful for her role in our journey.

I truly believe Nolwenn was fundamental to my labor being an empowering and joyful experience—rather than the out-of-control and terrifying birth stories we often hear about. I first connected with her toward the end of a smooth and easy pregnancy (my first), and from our very first discovery call, she provided a wealth of information, resources, and referrals. Her process for creating my birth plan was pivotal in helping me understand what I truly wanted from the experience, and she supported both my husband and me in preparing emotionally and physically for the delivery room. From day one, Nolwenn was on our team, and I had a united front between her, my husband, my baby, and me.

With Nolwenn and my husband providing support and encouragement throughout my labor, I stayed present and focused. I never even thought about asking for an epidural and, instead, was able to slowly and intentionally push my baby girl into the world—the best moment of my life. Nolwenn was by my side the entire time, coaching me, using counterpressure techniques to ease my contractions, and helping me keep my breathing low and controlled. During golden hour, she guided me in getting my baby to latch on both sides. I know that without Nolwenn, my labor could have taken a very different turn. Thanks to her, my experience wasn’t defined by pain, stress, or fear. Instead, I look back on my birth with joy and a deep sense of pride in my body’s strength and the teamwork between Nolwenn, my husband, my baby, and me.

Since birth, Nolwenn has continued to support us with daytime and nighttime doula services. Every time I see her, she offers new insights, advice, and perspectives that help me grow into the parent I want to be. Thank you, Nolwenn, for your unwavering support in welcoming our daughter into the world in such a beautiful and empowering way.

I highly recommend working with Nolwenn! We hired Nolwenn's birth doula services and I cannot understate the importance of her role throughout the process!

To begin with, we had several pre-natal consultations to help draft a birth plan.  Nolwenn really helped us understand what options were available to us and how best to advocate for ourselves which becomes very important later on during labor when things are hectic.  

After my water broke, we rushed to the hospital and notified Nolwenn. She was responsive and resourceful every step of the way! When Nolwenn arrived, her calming and confident aura helped guide my partner and I through a variety of poses to assist in getting baby ready for delivery.  Most of all, she was there to communicate intelligently with the hospital staff and advocate for our goal of achieving a natural birth.  Thanks to her knowledge of Spinning Babies and other poses we were able to get baby in the right position and avoid a C-section! After a grueling 15+ hours of labor, baby finally arrived and I could not be any more thankful for Nolwenn's help and support!

I would absolutely recommend Nolwenn as a birth doula - she's a real pro! From our first meeting, she brought a wealth of knowledge and comforting expertise that put us at ease. Leading up to our baby’s arrival, she guided us through exercises and birth prep that reduced anxiety and improved our confidence. During labor, her calming presence and hands-on techniques - like position changes and breathing exercises - significantly eased pain and kept us focused. We felt fully supported, informed, and empowered every step of the way. She even reminded my husband to also look after himself during the most nerve-racking moments in the delivery room. If you’re considering a doula, Nolwenn is fantastic!

I got in touch with Nolwenn because my friend's referal, and it turned out Nolwenn is a life saver during my postpartum period. I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you for everything Nolwenn has done for us during this postpartum period. Her help has been truly invaluable, and I’m so grateful for the gentle, knowledgeable care she provided.

I especially appreciate how she helped our newborn pass gases more comfortably, and her tips on avoiding any issues with the umbilical cord have given me so much peace of mind. Her attentive support has made these early weeks so much easier and less stressful.

Nolwenn was very professional in all of our communication prior to hiring her as our doula and had information on her website that gave us an idea of her approach before even reaching out. She was very knowledgeable about the birthing and postpartum experience and was clear she would help us make the best choices for our family without judgment.

Prior to the birth of our daughter, Nolwenn was reassuring and encouraged me to take care of myself in my last few weeks of pregnancy. Offering suggestions for different ways to do so. She also provided a detailed questionnaire for my husband and I to fill out to determine the birth plan that worked best for us. She walked us through it in detail and put together the plan to have ready to hand off at the hospital. At 38 weeks pregnant this was immensely helpful!

Nolwenn also worked with us as a postpartum Doula. She took great care of our daughter when we needed a nap and helped with bottles, dishes and laundry. So helpful and necessary in those early days! She taught us about baby wearing which my daughter loves and has made our lives much easier. We also appreciated the parenting advice she gave us that boosted our confidence that we were doing the best for our daughter.

Nolwenn is very professional and knowledgeable about the birthing process and newborn care. She is encouraging and gives great advice based on individual family needs!

Both my husband and I are far from our families, and as first-time parents, hiring a doula was a great decision. Nolwenn played a major role in supporting us as we prepared to welcome our baby boy, as well as during birth and postpartum. She is a very professional, knowledgeable, and reassuring person, and very present for the family she is supporting. Nolwenn helped us prepare, through conversations about the birth plans, our preferences, and wishes, always providing helpful advice or presenting options to us. It was a major shift for me as a mom-to-be, as I felt more educated and empowered. When the day came, I felt prepared, strong, and excited, thanks to Nolwenn. When we learned that the baby was breached a little late in the game, Nolwenn helped us find the resources and information to approach the situation, finding great providers (acupuncture, PT) specialized in perinatal care. Her support and reactivity in that very overwhelming situation were a game-changer! The baby eventually turned! During childbirth, Nolwenn was a great support for both my husband and me, through reassuring and motivating words, and massaging. After birth, I really enjoyed the postpartum support she provided, more specifically advice, discussing doubts and questions about newborn care, and future parenting.

My wife speaks French and I... try to speak French. We knew we wanted a bilingual doula just to make things a bit easier in the chaos of the impending moment. What we got when we hired Nolwenn was so much more. Incredibly knowledgeable, kind, patient, and relatable, Nolwenn either already had a wealth of resources to share with us or took the time to find detailed answers to our questions. As a first-time father, there were so many questions I hadn't even thought about (e.g., did I want to catch the baby? I don't know- did I??), and Nolwenn not only put these in my head but walked me through the different options. Moreover, she took the time to ask me about what I was worried about and how she could address my concerns. For those of you who, like me, thought a doula was primarily for the mother-to-be, let me tell you that Nolwenn is there for the couple and offers equal support to both partners. When our child arrived a few days earlier than planned, Nolwenn dropped everything and rushed (through traffic) to join us at the hospital. She made this whole process much more calm and comfortable for both my wife and I and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Nolwenn helped me take care of my twin newborn, both as a night and daytime doula. Not only she was caring and loving to the babies, but she was also an amazing support to me and my husband as first time parents — both emotionally and practically. She has deep knowledge of infants care and shared great advice to help with sleep, feeds, and development milestones. She was also helpful with breastfeeding. Hiring a doula in our first few weeks was the best investment to ramp up smoothly in our new parenting roles!

I’m so glad we had the chance to work with Nolwenn as our overnight postpartum doula. She visited us about ten nights in the first few weeks after our son was born and I’m not sure how we would have survived without her! The knowledge, calming energy, and support she brought to our home was invaluable. She was a wonderful companion to me during middle of the night feedings, and quickly whisked him away to help me maximize my sleep (I never heard a peep after they left the room). I especially appreciated the care with which she treated our little guy and the tips she showed us as she learned about his needs and preferences. She also made sure we felt empowered as parents to make our own decisions and followed our lead with a flexible philosophy. On top of it all, Nolwenn was extremely professional, going out of her way to find us backup care, showing up right on schedule, sending reminders, and connecting us to resources. I hope others are so lucky to benefit from her caring support!
