Aneke is truly incredible and has become a friend. I had researched for years about natural birth, feeling like I had to learn it on my own to be prepared for situations that could arise. But the first time we met her it was like a weight was lifted because we felt we could trust her instead of feeling like we had to do it all on our own.

She made this process SO much better and kept my nerves calm. Babies come out one way or the other, but I promise your experience will be 100% better if she is on your team! During our hospital birth she was able to help us make informed decisions when things didn't go according to plan. We would have been panicked without her there. Even if your at the best hospital, they don't have the time to spend to get to know YOU. But to Aneke your a real person and a friend.

She is also the only one I could find who was willing to attend a hospital birth as a doula, but also having access to her years of experience as a midwife. It was the perfect fit for us. She also had classes that were super helpful. And she drove to our house so we didn't have to leave home right away with our newborn.

You won't regret having Aneke in your life. She is truly a rare gem!

Having Aneke by us during labor was one of the biggest reasons for our positive birth story. Aneke is a very kind and communicative person who always ensured that I was heard. She formed a bridge not only between the staff at the hospital and I, but also between my family and I. My family felt empowered in supporting me. My labor started off with anxiety and fears but ended up with me becoming resilient & taking charge. Aneke helped us understand the different procedures in the hospital, enabling us to make better choices. I highly recommend Aneke as a doula to anyone wanting a peaceful and empowering birthing experience.

There are not enough words to express how grateful I am for having worked with Aneke. If you are thinking about hiring a doula I wholeheartedly recommend that you work with her with no reservations!

We first met with Aneke a couple months before I gave birth. During her initial visits she took the time to learn more about us, our family, and our wishes for the delivery. We were immediately struck by how kind, compassionate, skilled, and interpersonally aware she is. She noticed the little details and remembered things that were important to us. She is very culturally competent and was considerate of our needs relating to the delivery! All of this led to what felt like a seamless integration into our family during a highly personal and intimate time in our lives.

We were working with a tight timeline and she was flexible in accommodating ou super busy schedules! We signed up for one of her one-on-one childbirth education classes (highly recommended for first time moms!). She walked us through a step-by-step process of what to expect, various decision points - which helped us prepare for the delivery and postpartum periods.

Having Aneke as part of my care team on delivery day helped empower me make choices that I would not have felt comfortable doing on my own. Her coaching and counsel helped me better advocate for my needs. To put it simply, I had an extremely positive birthing experience in big part because of her grounding presence. She anticipated my needs during labor (part of which I did unmedicated) which is of tremendous help - especially when you are mid-contraction and are not able to speak!

During the postpartum period, Aneke visited us a couple times and gave us invaluable tips (around sleep, postpartum body care, breastfeeding etc) that helped us with the transition into parenthood.

We feel blessed that we met Aneke and again feel truly grateful that we had the opportunity to work with her!

Working with Aneke as my postpartum doula was an absolute blessing during the arrival of my second baby. From the moment she stepped into our home at just three weeks postpartum until our little one was three months old, Aneke brought such kindness and positivity with her on every visit. Her presence felt like a breath of fresh air, infusing our home with energy and support.

During her visits, Aneke seamlessly took charge, effortlessly juggling various tasks from caring for the baby to tidying up the kitchen, tackling the laundry, and cooking food (her oatmeal muffins and salads are the best!). It was incredible to witness her intuitive understanding of our needs without much guidance. For example, in the mornings, she would take the baby, allowing me to get dressed and brush my teeth. By the time I returned, she would have breakfast ready, the dishwasher and laundry running – all without any guidance.

With Aneke by my side, my postpartum recovery felt markedly smoother and more manageable. Aneke's wealth of experience in supporting women before and after childbirth shone through in her unwavering dedication to my well-being. It was evident that she genuinely cared about my recovery journey, and her innate ability to anticipate my needs was truly remarkable. I am eternally grateful for Aneke's support during such a transformative time in my life. She is an exceptional postpartum doula whose compassion and expertise make her an invaluable asset to any new parent.

Aneke was our doula joining us at the hospital delivery as well as postpartum. Her huge experience and knowledge about birth in different countries like Germany, Mexico and the US combined with her warm character and assertiveness (to advocat in hospital) make her the best companion for my delivery I could ever have imagined.

She has a feeling for the support you wish for/ need and stands on your side. She cares about you and the whole family and is available for any question/ concerns you  might have. She was our “go to person” for everything concerning pregnancy, birth and newborn!

We highly recommend Aneke as Doula. We are very thankful for all her support!

Aneke is absolutely wonderful. She has helped me through 2 births now, and I feel truly grateful that she was by my side advocating for mine and my babies health. She has a very sweet manner about her, and at the same time is confident and extremely empowering for the mother and her support system. Aneke is extremely experienced and knowledgeable. She was able to support me at home in the beginning of labor and then later she was able to help me better understand information that was rapidly given to me in the hospital. She worked tirelessly to help me through labor in the hospital and side by side with my health team to ensure my deliveries were safe. Aneke also offers many services prenatal and postnatal. Her massages are particularly wonderful, my favorites are the massage to help the baby drop in the last week, and also the postpartum tummy massage. Please do yourself a world of good and choose Aneke to help you on your birth journey.

My fiance and I worked with Aneke following the birth of our first child and we can't recommend her enough! Aneke is kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. She took time to get to know us and our desires for our labor and delivery. She came alongside us in support each step of the way.

Her role during birth was more than what I expected, she guided us through labor for 14 hours straight and stayed with us the first hours after baby was born. My fiance was so thankful for her support and direction during labor. She helped him know how to help me with certain positions throughout labor which was very helpful for us both! He felt better equipped as a birthing partner because of her help.

We both appreciated Aneke support and encouragement postpartum! She checked in on us and cared about how the whole family unit was doing postpartum. She encouraged us in how we were doing and made us know she was available for postpartum support if we needed any extra help. It was so nice to know that she was there if we needed extra postpartum support in those early days.

Aneke is kind, empathetic, compassionate, and competent, she was such a joy to have on our birth team. If you are looking for someone to join your team we highly recommend Aneke!!
