When I first met Brandi she was so sweet and answered my questions about what a Doula does with no complaint. She's very open and forthcoming about what she does and does not know. Not once have I ever felt like I couldn't trust her or like she wasn't the best fit for me. Being a woman of color and being scared of the challenges I would face, she took those into consideration and made sure she did as much research as possible.

She had me fill out a birth plan with her which I had no idea what that included. Everything I asked for she helped me get no questions asked.  This was my first pregnancy and I did not have to stress about anything to do with my hospital because she helped me with it. I went into labor late at night and two weeks early and she was at my house within the hour. She stayed up with me all night and helped me through my pain. I didn't want an epidural so I felt everything and couldn't sleep longer than 20 minutes but she was there for every contraction. 
Its been three months since I gave birth. I've had multiple talks with her since. She's always checking on me and lets me ask questions about what I'm going through and makes sure I see a doctor if something is wrong. 
I was terrified of birthing my baby because I didn't know how bad it would be for me but she always made me feel at ease. I would absolutely hire her again to be my doula. She's part of my family now.
