I'm a ftm and I had Rachel as my doula for my birth. This is my first ever baby so I didn't know what to expect so I thought having some extra support would be great. When it came time to give birth I labored at home for most of it then went to the hospital. While at the hospital I didn't get to use any of the stuff she brought but that's ok bc my labor went by super fast, but when it came time to push I got scared and wanted my mom by my side but I had the doula on my side instead. Which is perfectly fine because she's there to support me, but after I gave birth my mom was upset bc she didn't get to hold my hand and be by my side. Also I was told by Rachel that she was going to check my baby for tongue and lip ties and didn't check until our second pp appointment. After this if I ever have a baby again I honestly think I just won't get a doula, if you're planning on having a doula I would look into an at home birth or a birthing facility not a hospital.

as a birthing partner i know that this new mother wanted a doula, we searched for most popular and someone reliable. she got recommended rachel by her daughter kaylee and saw tons of great reviews. every prenatal meeting was thorough, they talked about natural births, and how rachel also runs a buisness and creates art from placentas. the mother was very exited to have rachel as her doula. after rachel was notified that the mother was in labor and to come by, she did. after she got there she sat in the guest chair and gave the mother advice to keep moving through the contractions, she shared pictures of her 10 kids to the other birthing partners and seemed to be catching up on messages. and i do not remember rachel coming over to physically help the remainder of her labor. while the mother did say she requested to have limited hands, she did express to switch if she saw her birthing partners becoming tired, and to help with counter pressure, showing them where it helps the most. i was very disappointed to see her lack of support for the mother. rachel was requested to leave after a few hours and the mothers birth turned both amazing and lovely. i look forward to being a birth partner again. but based on my personal experiences with rachel i cannot recommend her for a new mother as a doula.

I am a single dad that was given my son straight out of nicu, not knowing anything about what to do for a baby, let alone a 4 pound baby straight out of the nicu. Rachel jumped right in and taught me everything from diaper changing, bottle feeding , bathing and sleep training my son. She took me on without hesitation and without compensation just to help me out. I will never forget that! I HIGHLY recommend her!

Rachel was my doula throughout my very first pregnancy and birth, I was in labor for 29 hours and she was there for ever minute of it.
i cannot imagine what I would've done without this women.
she walked me through each and every step of my latent labor, she helped prep my body to deliver my baby with out the epidural, she held my leg up and guided me through pushing my very first baby out!
She stuck to my birth plan through and through, and respected every single decision of mine.
Rachel was an advocate for me my entire birth, she supported me in different ways like encouraging me to walk around through the pain, she rubbed my back, she was there for me every step of the way and I wouldn't have had it any other way.
The midwife that "delivered" my baby was pushing the epidural the second Rachel left to get coffee, even thought it said on the white board what exactly I wanted for my birth. Having a doula like Rachel the eliminates that happening often and you getting talked into something you don't want to do.
rachel is very knowledgeable and I still go to her for help, with things like lactation help, baby help, even when I'm overwhelmed she's offered to come over and just hold my baby.
I will continue to go to Rachel bizak for every single pregnancy and birth.

While I didn't use Rachel for doula services, she became a great support while navigating breast feeding with a baby that was struggling to gain weight and having a undersupply and latch issue. She also help determine that my little had A tongue tie that a lactation consultant missed after many concerns. She would reach out often and answer any question or concerns I had. Offering services to help with housework or even care for my other medically complexed older child. Even to this day, 7m after giving birth she reaches out if there's anything we need. I wish I had used her soon! She has become like family to us! I don't think I would of been able to breastfeed for as long as I have with out her!

From the moment we met Rachel, I knew we were in the best possible hands, but I had no idea just how profoundly she would impact our birth story. As a husband, watching your wife prepare for a VBAC after an emergency C-section is both hopeful and nerve-wracking. Rachel was a steady presence in the middle of all of it. She was incredibly quick to respond, attentive to every detail, and deeply knowledgeable. There was never a moment where we felt unsure or alone. What stood out most to me was how fiercely she advocated for my wife. Rachel made sure my wife’s voice was heard, her wishes were respected, and her confidence was protected. When things felt intense or uncertain, Rachel was right there, offering reassurance, clarity, and encouragement. She knew when to speak up, when to guide, and when to simply be a grounding, supportive presence. During labor, she supported my wife with such compassion and strength. Her words, her calm demeanor, and her belief in my wife made all the difference. She helped create an environment where my wife felt empowered, capable, and safe and because of that, she was able to have the VBAC she had hoped and prayed for. I will always be grateful for Rachel for the way she cared for our family in one of the most vulnerable and meaningful moments of our lives. Any family would be incredibly blessed to have her by their side.

I will always recommend Rachel. I am truly blessed to not only have her as a close friend now but as a doula when I had my first pregnancy.
When I was going through an abusive relationship (I didn't know it was abuse at the time), my good friend recommended me her as my doula. At the time I was skeptical because it was my first pregnancy and I didn't know what support a doula could give. However, she had amazing patience answering any panic questions I had regarding my/baby health and helped me throughout my pregnancy up until and after labor. She was my voice when the doctors would not listen to me.
She helped me post partum with taking care of my baby and helped me whenever I needed the support. I can tell you from personal experience that she has gone above and beyond to be an amazing support system for me and my little family.

I could not have had a successful Vbac without Rachel. I can not thank Rachel enough for all she did to prepare me for a successful birth. I had a C-section 4 years ago and when my primary told me I was good to try for a Vbac I reached out to Rachel. She made me feel calm and empowered to feel comfortable doing a Vbac. She checked up on me all throughout my pregnancy and calmed my nerves about any worries I had. I ended up having high blood pressure and my doctor said if I didn't go into labor naturally within 4 days I would need to be induced. I really didn't want to be induced. I told Rachel this and she was able to help put me into labor in 2 1/2 days!
I had to ride in an ambulance because the baby was coming quickly and I live far from the hospital. Rachel was already there waiting for me when I arrived! The baby came out within 10 minutes. Easiest birth yet. Rachel stayed and made sure I was okay and held the baby she helped bring into the world. She is such a mom to me. I can never thank Rachel enough.

I was a bystander at my best friends birth. I was there the entire time with her and her doula. Rachel was absolutely fantastic showing my friend how to do a couple different excersies. She even showed me some different charts of dilation centimeters, and helped me understand more of what was actually happening with my friends body. Once birth started, Rachel was super calming, helping practice breathing exercises and body movements to release tension and give ease. All and all, Rachel was absolutely outstanding and i couldn't recommend her more, and can't wait to have her help me with my pregnancy .

I am writing this with deep disappointment after my experience working with Rachel as a doula. I initially recommended her to a close friend because our prenatal meetings were thorough and gave the impression that she would be attentive and supportive, particularly for a first-time mother. Unfortunately, both my friend's experience and my own demonstrated a significant gap between what was promised and what was delivered.
During my own labor At a point when I was unable to speak or stand during contractions, she remained seated, engaging in casual conversation, while my partner struggled to support me without guidance.
. After I received an epidural and was able to communicate more clearly, I asked her to leave, as her support was no longer needed. She departed quickly, focusing on ensuring that her personal items were accounted for, which further reinforced my sense that my care was not her priority.
Several days postpartum, I expressed my concerns directly to her. She explained that she felt intimidated because my mother is a nurse and did not want to overstep boundaries. While I understand the importance of collaboration, working alongside medical professionals is an expected and routine part of a doula's job Following this conversation, she offered to pay for a pedicure and massage through a personal contact. This gesture felt inappropriate and misplaced, as what was needed was accountability rather than compensation.
Despite being paid, neither I nor my friend received the level of care or advocacy we were led to expect.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend her services and feel it is important that others are fully informed when making decisions about their birth support.

I highly recommendRachel as a doula. I felt completely at ease and supported through late pregnancy and the birth. She provided invaluable information and resources throughout my pregnancy, addressing all my questions and concerns with patience and expertise. During labor, Racel's presence was calming and reassuring. She offered continuous physical and emotional support, helping me navigate the challenges and celebrate the joys of bringing my baby into the world. She also provided wonderful postpartum support, helping me adjust to the demands of newborn care and the trials of brest feeding. I truly believe that having Rachel by my side made all the difference in my birthing experience. I am so grateful for her dedication and compassion, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to any expectant parent. You won't regret it!

We used Rachels services back in 2020 with help with the birth and after care of our newborn. She was a tremendous help to my wife during labor and delivery as well as with breastfeeding and newborn care. Our newborn had a lip and tongue tie, that the nurses at the hospital missed. But as the latching problems arose, Rachel was able to identify the problems and provide us with an dentist that fixed it. We will use her for future births. We still have a close relatioinship with her since the birth.

I was referred to My doula, Rachel by a family member that also used her. Shes very resourceful and was able to connect me with many resources that I needed during my pregnancy. She made the natural birth of my baby very smooth and helped me with different instruments to reduce pain. After birth she was very helpful and supportive of me breastfeeding and helped when I got mastitis, even spent the night and took care of baby so I could sleep!

My experience with Rachel was perfect! Not only did I feel like I was being cared for, and my child was being cared for I felt seen. During the birthing process she brought lots of tools to help me through my natural unmediated birth. I recommend her as a first time mom, expecting another!

I have had Rachels assistance with 2 of my births, first one being a homebirth of my son where she ended up delivering him as she beat the midwife to my home, which wasnt easy as complications arose such as umbilical cord around his neck, meconium, and he was born face up. She rose to the occasion and did the birth confidentally and professionally producing my healthy baby boy, If she wasnt there I dont believe my son would be here today. Second birth was of my daughter born via c-section in the hospital once again at my side and totally comforting me the whole way, I highly recommend her!
