Loved having Lizet as part of my support team! She is super knowledgeable, friendly, and made sense of things for me even when my birth plans didn’t go as expected. This wasn't my first pregnancy, but it was my first time using a doula and I couldn't have been happier with how she helped with everything from start to finish.

I came across Lizet with Esperanza Birth when I was searching for birth doulas in Kansas City, and from our very first meeting, she made my partner and I feel totally at ease. This was my first pregnancy and I knew I wanted to have an unmedicated natural childbirth, but I honestly had no idea what to expect or how to prepare! We opted to add on 1:1 birth classes with Lizet and it was incredibly helpful -- highly recommend if you want to learn all about the birth process, possible interventions, breathing techniques, and so much more.

Lizet was so attentive to us leading up to birth, meeting with us several times at our home and helping us figure out what was most important to us when it came to our childbirth experience. I went into my first birth feeling very knowledgeable about what the process would look like & felt very empowered to make it the best experience possible.

Welcoming our son into the world could not have gone better -- every single thing that was important to my partner and I was accomplished, and I truly think this would not have been possible without Lizet being there with us & supporting us (and reminding us of our birth plan)! She was truly the "calm" in the eye of the storm and we are very grateful she was a part of our birth story. I cannot recommend her enough -- if you are on the fence about hiring a birth doula, I would encourage you to do it! She is worth every penny and we will be referring her to everyone we know + hiring her again for our future births.

When I decided to have my babe at home I knew I wanted Lizet from Esperanza Birth. She's one of the sweetest person I met. She was there at the beginning and the end. She was very supportive and helpful and just made it comfortable. Definitely recommend her as a doula. We will be using her in the future again.
