It’s hard to me to put into words having such a committed, passionate and loving experience Bethany gave me. I wish I knew about Doulas when I had my first born. I was alone at that time. When I had my daughter I had my Daughter in March, she was there every second of the way. Calming me, teaching me and going above and beyond. Not just for the expecting mom, but my husband too. Who needed support. It changed my life and experience. She was involved in doctors appointments and every aspect of this adventure. When things took an unexpected turn, and my daughter was born pre-mature she was there in a heartbeat. And the aftercare! Providing easy meals, cleaning and emotional support. Or just even holding the baby so mom could pee in peace! She was there for my 5 year old son, in his adjustment to becoming a sibling. Breastfeeding support, physical support they do it all. I would highly recommended these ladies to be a part of anyones journey and have the extraordinary experience we had. I’ve never met a more knowledgeable and caring person and I’m blessed to have her involved in my kids, mine and my husbands lives to this day. It truly does "Take a Village!"

From childbirth prep to breastfeeding basics to newborn essentials, Bethany was my go-to instructor during the many new parent classes I took through Silverton Hospital. Along with a depth and breadth of pre- and post-birth baby knowledge, Bethany has a warm presence, a kind heart, and a desire to help others during a time that can seem scary for first-time parents.

As my husband and I learned more about what to expect with childbirth and beyond, Bethany provided fantastic recommendations for local birth doulas and lactation consultants. She helped us build a strong support team that carried us through labor, post-birth complications, and a challenging breastfeeding journey. While unplanned, Bethany was actually in the hospital the day I gave birth. When my baby and I were split up for separate post-birth treatments, she comforted my husband when she saw him in the hospital hallway and offered him reassurance and a listening ear. 

I was ecstatic when Bethany agreed to be our postpartum doula. She offered breastfeeding support, affirmed all the big feelings I was experiencing, and helped my husband and I focus on the changes that come with adding a baby to the family. My favorite memories include Bethany’s enveloping hugs when she came through the door—the long kind that only come when you’re truly invested in the emotional wellbeing of the other person. And her tutorials on babywearing were a complete game-changer for me and my family! Bethany’s gentle guidance throughout those early postpartum weeks really helped me build my new-mom confidence and helped me tap into my instincts.

From the early hospital classes to the postpartum weeks, Bethany offered monumental emotional, physical, and informational support to me and my husband. And when he arrived, she cuddled our son like he was one of her own. Bethany was a pivotal part of our birth experience, and she’ll forever be a part of our family.

I would like to start by saying how thankful we were to having Bethany aid us in the birth of our second child, making it our first successful VBAC. She made one of our strongest supporters we've ever had in child delivery. Without her motivation and energy I dont know how we would have made it through it.

Bethany was there for us, during the entire pregnancy, during the delivery, and for several weeks post pregnancy. She taught us so many birthing exercises. She fully advocated for our wants/needs during the birthing process at the hospital. She aided me when I needed a break during the labor of our child. Thanks to her she helped us welcome in a 8lb 10oz baby boy. During birthing recovery, she brought us pre prepared meals, for two weeks worth of food, just so we wouldnt have to stress over what we were going to cook. 

I fully recommend Bethany to anyone in need of a Doula. She has so much experience! She is also one of the most kind and caring individuals I've ever had the honor of knowing. Thank you Bethany!
