Milene was both my hypnobabies instructor and doula, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience! My husband and I loved our hypnobabies class from an educational standpoint and felt like Milene had all of the knowledge and experience we could possibly ask for. She is warm, accepting, and exaxtly the type of person you want to learn from as a first time parent! As a doula, she provided all of the information and resources we could ask for. I was initially uncommitted on utilizing a doula, but we didn't want to lose Milene when our hypnobabies class was over! She was so valuable in my labor and delivery and was such a calming and competent presence when things started deviating from our birth plan. I feel like I was in shock for most of the time I was in the hospital, and she handled everything and advocated for me endlessly.

I recently gave birth to a healthy baby girl and Milene was my doula. I knew I wanted an unmedicated and all natural birth and I did, with the help and support of Milene.
She prepared me throughout my pregnancy, in the delivery room, and after we settled in at home. She was a support to husband that absolutely needed someone to help guide him. I will never forget her encouragement, love, and support during my daughter’s birth.

A memory I love sharing, there were moments when Milene held me and rocked me back and forth. My head was in her shoulder and I felt completely comforted. That deep embrace is tattooed on my memory forever.

If we decided to have another baby, I wouldn’t want any other doula. Milene is my forever doula. She also did photography for us during labor and delivery and I look at those photos every night before bed. I would highly recommend her photography, too. Wonderful shots that I cherish.

I would recommend Milene for anyone looking for a doula. She was the first doula that my husband and I met with and after leaving our meeting, we both felt that she was the right fit to support us bringing our first baby into the world. We met with her several times throughout my pregnancy and did childbirth education with her as well. When our birthing time came, we felt prepared and educated on every aspect of the process. My birth story ended up far different from what I had imagined, but with every twist and turn, Milene was the steady, calm support that we needed! In addition, she provided beautiful photos that we will cherish forever. She went above and beyond by bringing us a delicious meal and lactation cookies after we were home. I cannot imagine what we would have done had we not had her there and we hope to have her for the birth of our future babies!

I would not give birth again without Miléne! From our first meeting, when she listened empathetically to all that I'd experienced before in birthing and what I was afraid of repeating, I knew she was a safe person to trust in this most intimate of situations. She listens with a goal of understanding, supports with a goal of achieving what you as a mother need and want, and encourages you in every way that you can do this and birth doesn't have to be a scary medical event but rather an empowering, peaceful welcoming of a new soul. She was so kind to provide resources and recommendations on how to best care for myself during pregnancy to be comfortable and get baby into optimal position, and also provided excellent instructions to my husband on how he could be useful during labor as an advocate and hands-on comforter. During labor, her incredible support kept me grounded and present during that hard-working time when you feel between this plane of existence and another. She reminded me and my husband and the hospital birth team of decisions we'd made ahead of time, and was quick to see what was needed next to keep me as comfortable as possible. She fiercely guarded me from unwanted interruptions that we'd discussed ahead of time would stress me out unnecessarily. She tirelessly squeezed my hips, poured warm water over me, reminded me how to breath, rubbed my back, and spoke truth and encouragement over me. And then, as beautiful icing on top, she took powerful, precious photos during labor and birth and in those precious moments afterward. She's a gem of a person, and I truly would not have another baby without her.

My husband and I are so grateful to have found Milene for our birthing journey. I wanted to have an unmedicated birth, and knew that a doula would be a key member of my birth team in order to succeed. After meeting with a few candidates, we both felt that Milene was the one for us. Along with experience with numerous births, she has such a warm, friendly, and compassionate demeanor. She has been very prompt with communication, and had great tips for preparing for an unmedicated birth. Her home visit about a month before the birth was extremely helpful. She arrived at the hospital promptly, and her coaching empowered me to get through the contractions and pushing. She also added special touches to make the hospital room more comforting. I really appreciated her postpartum visit to check in on how things were going. I had a wonderful birthing experience and could not have done it without Milene's guidance. Any expecting mother would be so fortunate to work with her.

There’s a saying that goes, “Shame dies when stories are told in safe places” and I want to open this review with that quote, as it resonates so deeply with the experience of heart to heart conversation I got to share with Milène during my pregnancy and birthing time, because she truly is that- a safe place. She was an angel and a guide while I was in the portal of labor and I can’t say enough good about her knowledge, intuition, and care. Milène’s grace is unmatched, while guiding the mama like me through the most transformative and beautiful time. My labor was incredibly demanding on my physical and mental being- upwards of 40 hours, but there wasn’t a second that went by where I felt unsafe in my environment. Milène reminded me how crucial and beautiful it can be to ride these waves of pain and accept them as a deep and blossoming connection with myself, so that I could finally hold the beautiful girl I carried for 41 weeks. With Milène’s gentle and consistent presence, me and my husband are endlessly grateful to say that we welcomed our daughter to the world coming out of the labor feeling empowered, confident, healthy, and even deeper connected. I wish every mama could experience Milene’s level of compassionate care as part of their pregnancy and birth journey! I honestly can’t recommend Milene enough - having her as my doula was the best decision I made. When we met I knew right away that she would help me have the beautiful, unmedicated birth I was hoping for - which she certainly did! Milene is genuinely kind, calm, supportive and nurturing. She’s the type of person whose warmth makes her easily feel like a close friend or family member. Milene gave me the guidance and knowledge I needed to prepare for birth. She also encouraged me to do Hypnobabies (she’s an instructor!) for an easier and more comfortable birth. It was a huge game-changer! Having her to chat with during pregnancy also just made me feel more positive and confident overall. When my birthing time came, I felt calm and prepared despite a shockingly fast (3.5 hours) and very intense labor process! My husband and I ended up rushing to the hospital, and when I saw Milene open the car door to greet us I instantly felt a sense of relief - I knew she would team up with my husband (who was a bit anxious during labor!) and providers to take the best care of me. Even though things accelerated quickly from there (baby was born 30 minutes later!), Milene gave me the mental and physical support I needed. I had such an awesome, exciting birth of my sweet baby boy. It was a joyful, empowering experience that Milene was an integral part of creating. On top of going above and beyond as a doula, she is also a very talented photographer and captured precious moments during birth and at home with our newborn! She even brought us the most delicious, homemade soup and lactation cookies. Words can’t fully capture how grateful I am to her. Milene was truly a blessing for me, baby and our family!

I highly recommend Milene Miller with Harmony Birth Services. My family feels so lucky that we found her. After our first meeting, I knew I wanted to hire her! She has been pivotal in helping us transition from one child to two by not only being my birth doula but also with her postpartum support. I went into labor 5 weeks early, while my spouse was out of town, and Milene was able to meet me at the hospital within an hour of my water breaking. During labor, she was great at anticipating my needs, keeping me calm, and reminding me to breathe. I used her TENS unit throughout my contractions and found it extremely helpful. Milene always went above and beyond! As a bonus, she is an excellent cook! She has brought us meals and made me the best lactation cookies. Thank you Milene, we are grateful to you!

I can't  recommend Milene enough!! Milene is one of the kindest people  I  have ever met. She was so supportive, educated, and truly there for me. We hired  Milene as a birth photography  but she has been so much more. From checking  on me during my pregnancy  to being here very fast when it was time to give birth. To bringing me lactation  cookies. The support  has been amazing! She captured  my birth beautifully. So thankful she will always be apart of our birth story!

I cannot say enough good things about Milene! Honestly I believe she was the reason I was able to have an unmedicated birth. I didn’t have a great experience with my first and I knew I wanted this one to be different and it was! Milene was so informative, encouraging and supportive. We will hire her for any future births as well. Worth every penny!!

We met with Milene at about 20 weeks pregnant. We had met with a few doulas before meeting Milene, and as soon as we left our meeting, my husband and I knew she was the doula for us! It was important for my husband and I to find someone who shares our beliefs and wants for birth, and Milene did just that. Not only that, but she reminded me that God designed me for birth and gave me the best afirmations to repeat to myself.

Milene has a calm demeanor and is so knowledgable about all kinds of births! We did 4 birthing classes with her before baby was born, and I will forever be grateful for the knowledge gained during those sessions. I don't think I would have been able to deliver naturally without having that preparation and support from Milene! My water broke in the middle of the night, and Milene was so timely getting to us at home when labor was progressing quickly. She was there for me while I labored at home for over 12 hours. When I went to the hospital, she was there to support me virtually as I chose to have my mom and husband in the room (I was limited to two support people per COVID policies). She constantly checked in with me before, during, and after pregnancy/birth. She made me the most delicious lactation cookies and brough my husband and I the best soup and cinanmon rolls after birth!

Milene is kind, honest, thorough, knowledgable, prepared, and overall wonderful!! I would recommend her to anyone looking for a doula!

I am so grateful for Milene's support and expertise in anticipation of and through my labor and postpartum experience. She immediately felt like family when we were connected. She has the technical knowledge, but also the lived experience having four children of her own. I am so thankful to have had Milene by my side during VBAC. It was important to me to work with a doula who had experience with VBAC and knew how to support me through my emotional journey through labor as well as physical. Milene went above and beyond to support our family in the weeks surrounding the day my son was born and I felt very cared for. I learned so much from her about the physiological side of birth as well as coping techniques for labor, and ways to prepare towards the end of pregnancy. She helped put together my ideal birth plan and was sure to advocate for me when I was preoccupied with contractions. I will absolutely work with her again for future births!

My experience with Milene as my doula was exceptional. She was so attentive and easily answered questions I had throughout my pregnancy. All the fears and worries I had throughout she was there to calm me and reminded me of my ability to make decisions without being forced. She came to my home to visit and we discussed my birth plan and how i visioned my birth experience, she also taught my husband a few techniques during labor where he can assist me with pain management and labor positions to progress. She helped so much with me and my husband and first time parent things like how to install a car seat, Co-sleeping, family visitation, and breastfeeding. She gave me so much confidence and encouragement. My birth experience with my first baby wasn't exactly as I planned however, she was there coaching me and supporting me the entire time, I never felt out of control nor felt like a failure even when things didn't go as planned. If it wasn't for her, my birth experience would've looked so much different and I fret to think of how things would've gone without her. She was truly a blessing for me. I HIGHLY recommend her for your birth experience. She has the kindest heart and a large well of positivity and patience.
