Kendal Powe is a member of BGMH Birthing Gently Maternal Health Volunteer Community Birth Doula Program and United Against Racism Project. The BGMH Community Doula Program was established by Tara Campbell, Founder of Birthing Gently in collaboration with the Midwifery Practice at Massachusetts General Hospitals. The goal of this program is to traditionally match Birth Doulas with low-income and at-risk patients. With joint efforts from Birth Doulas within the community, BGMH expands to additional Mass General Brigham institutions. This includes Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Newton Wellesley Hospital, and Salem Hospital. In 2021 BGMH accepted an invitation to join Mass General Brigham Birth Partners. “United Against Racism Project”. In collaboration with Mass General Brigham, BGMH will accept additional patients selected through this grant-funded project.
