Kaila was my doula for my first birth. As someone with anxiety, the idea of giving birth was extremely overwhelming for me. Just having Kaila's supportive and compassionate presence in the room made an instant difference. She's incredibly knowledge and being able to ask her questions to ease my mind was so helpful. She brought essential oil blends, lavender cookies, a individualized birth plan, and more which brought alot of comfort. I tried not to have a specific  birth plan and to be open minded but everything that I didn't want to happen, ended up happening. Going into the hospital, I ended up needing an induction. This brought me a lot of fear because it was something I really didn't want to happen. But, Kaila immediately made me feel safe and knowledgeable going into it. She was by my side the whole time. Then, due to some health reasons, I was told I could either try to contuine with labor or have a c-section. It was one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make. I was scared. Kaila helped talk me through it. She was a calm energy that I desperately needed. Having her by my side in that moment is something I'll always treasure. Although she couldn't be there for the c-section, she came by the next day to check on myself and my little one. It was greatly appreciated.
