Dasha's professional expertise and friendly energy were invaluable during my labor. She provided swift, reassuring support when I needed it most. As both my doula and friend, she went above and beyond, offering not just professional guidance but also priceless emotional support. Her calm presence and quick responses made a significant impact during my delivery.

A very important moment for me was when Dasha dropped everything to be by my side promptly. Her unwavering dedication and genuine care were truly appreciated. I highly recommend Dasha to anyone seeking a doula who is not only skilled but also a comforting presence during a significant life event. My experience with her was exceptional, and I am grateful for her support throughout my birthing journey.

Where do I even begin? Dasha is truly a gift from god and I am so thankful I had her along this amazing birth journey! She is forever family! This was my 3rd birth but my first at home VBAC and what an extraordinary experience it was. The last couple weeks of pregnancy were mentally so hard and Dasha was there to support me whether it be FaceTime, call, coffee dates, walks, she really helped me get through. At 40 weeks I had consistent contractions and was VERY dilated and Dasha came over that evening to get ready for babygirl to come, a few hours later everything completely stopped. I felt so discouraged but Dasha assured me that babygirl and God and my body will let me know when it's time. An exact week later, I called her early in the morning with consistent contractions but I knew this was different. She came right over and  my husband and I were So happy to see her and know she was there and babygirl was coming. With every contraction getting stronger, Dasha was right there supporting and comforting me and truly could not have made it without her. My husband was so beyond moved by her and could see the love and spirit beaming out of her supporting my every need and move. 6 hours from the time I called Dasha to giving birth and having my natural VBAC- it was the fastest/longest yet most awarding day of our entire life! I can't imagine having a baby any other way and couldn't imagine anyone else by my side encouraging me the entire way! Dasha, we love you so much and are so eternally grateful you are apart of our story and our baby girl's story! ??????

My home birth experience with Dasha as my Doula was the absolute best. From the beginning Dasha was so kind, helpful and available to me and my family during my pregnancy, delivery and postpartum. She knew exactly what laboring positions for me to be in to help labor progress and she is just so knowledgable about every aspect of pregnancy and delivery. I felt so safe and confident with her apart of our birth team and I am so grateful for her and how she goes above and beyond for her mamma's and their families. I hope to have her as my Doula again God willing! Thank you Dasha, we love you!

Dasha held us with such compassion and experience. She made our birth experience so much less stressful, provided much needed childbirth education, and captured the beauty of this once in a life time event. I was scared for the time my birth came and didn’t have much support in the area, our doula made my birth feel safe and wonderful. She also checked in with us and provided postpartum care which helped us to not feel abandoned or overwhelmed while bringing our first child home. Of all the financial costs associated with having a child, this one was worth it the most and one that we paid happily when the time came.

The most unexpected perk was having a birth photographer. While our doula supported us and nurtured us through the labor process she also snapped some photos that captured the beauty of the moments in a super special way. I would have never considered getting a birth photographer but after seeing the photos our doula took, I’m completely sold and thankful that this special experience was commemorated for us to look back on.

If you're considering hiring Dasha as your doula, reach out to her! You won't regret it.

Dasha was absolutely amazing to have as our doula. She goes so above and beyond to make the whole experience so special. From the planning for your birth, to attending prenatal appointments, and having all the things in her doula birth bag to create such a peaceful atmosphere. She is so intentional with every detail and puts her heart and soul into supporting her mamas during this time. She fit in perfectly with the rest of our birth team and I feel so incredibly blessed to have had her support. Her care doesn't end with the birth either. Her postpartum support has been beyond what I could have ever imagined. She was such a special part of our birth team, and will continue to be such a special part of our family's lives! Every mama deserves this kind of care during one of the most special moments in her life and I'll be forever grateful to have been blessed with this experience!

When I think of words to describe Dasha, she is present, nurturing, compassionate, genuine, and an expert in her field. Dasha is a best friend you go get coffee with, someone you can text at midnight when your worried, she is a phone call away, and will be by your side through the most challenging things life will throw at you and the most precious moments. She has great insight and advice along with endless resources for you! She is irreplaceable at your birth! There is no one like her, I am forever blessed and grateful to have her in my life. We love her so much and would recommend her! She worked so tirelessly with me, at my appointments and advocating for the birth I desired. It was such a beautiful experience, from essential oils, lighting, birthing positions and coordination with midwives. Even when I had to transfer to the hospital, she eased all my fears and I trusted her. I knew when complications arose she was there, holding not only my hand but supporting my husband. When my C-section took longer than expected she held my son in the recovery room, loving on him and making sure he was safe and not alone. She is there for you 100% and you will feel loved and supported with her by your side and can get through anything!!!

Dasha was absolutely amazing!! My husband and I learned so much from her class and feel so much more prepared going into our home birth. She took so much time answering all of our questions and it felt so calming and fun. Absolutely love her ????????????

Love Dasha! Took her Childbirth Prep class and got so much from it!! If you only take one childbirth class, I'd recommend this one. She covers the stages of labor, the signs, how birth partners can be the best support at the various stages, we built a birth plan, and she covered postpartum care- which no other birth class I've taken covered. You get every dollars worth with this class and then some! 10/10 would recommend :)

Dasha is the best!! My husband and I attended Dasha's birth prep course! We were eager to learn about not only the physical aspects of birth but also wanted to learn about how my partner could support me in the entire birth process. Dasha was amazing at answering any questions we had and validated our fears/concerns! We loved getting to have hands on practice with her! Being able to practice birthing positions and get one on one attention and guidance was SO VALUABLE! She provided opportunities for us to talk and brainstorm as a group how to approach situations when they come up in birth. Afterwards, my husband and I had a great conversation on our drive home about how much we had learned and how we envisioned our birth. I highly recommend working with Dasha! She is down to earth and is great at giving you practical skills to utilize in the labor process not only as the mom, but also gave a lot of insight for the birthing partner! I am more confident and excited going into my birth after learning from her!!

My husband and I both took this class via Zoom with Dasha. We found it incredibly helpful as first time parents. Dasha was articulate, her material was relavent and up to date, and it was clear Dasha has a lot of real life experience to draw from. My husband mentioned later how much more confident he felt as we are getting closer to our due date in what to expect. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a childbirth education class.

I thoroughly enjoyed the childbirth class with Dasha! There tends to be so much overstimulation of information on the Internet, and it is really hard to organize things in a way that makes it easy to understand on what matters most... and how to make the best decisions for my family. Dascha did an incredible job, organizing everything in a cohesive and coherent manner that took it from beginning through the end of childbirth. There were a lot of educational components, especially tied to the biological and medical intricacies of the birth process, the Dasha made very easy to understand. Her sense of humor definitely makes it easier to get through a class! I'll definitely be attending her future classes.

Dasha is an incredible gift to the birthing world! She's extremely knowledgeable and is constantly expanding her knowledge, she even is a birth educator! I never felt like I was bothering her with my questions prior to birth. She attended a birth prep appointment with my PT and a prenatal appointment with my OB. She always answered my texts in a very prompt and timely manner, and always put my anxieties to rest. Dasha is so well connected in the birth community that she has endless answers for any support that you might need throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum. During my fast and furious birth (2 hours in the hospital) she kept me laughing, took extra care to support my husband and made sure the nurses stayed on track with my birth plan. Dasha is kind, funny and will support your birth, your way!!

Just after I met Dasha, I learned that in Spanish, the phrase for giving birth is “dar a luz” which literally means, “to give light.”

I thought it was such a beautiful way to describe birth and it reminded me of Dasha and La Lanterne - being a doula, carrier of light, a carrier of mamas, while mamas give the light.

Despite writing birth plans A, B, C, I truly believed that I could manifest my plan A into being.  My sweet breech baby had other plans. Dasha was a bottomless well of resources as we tried all the tricks in the book to flip the baby. When the baby didn't respond to our efforts, a planned cesarean became our birth path. At 38 weeks pregnant, moving from plan A straight into plan C was a lot to process. I am not one to easily lean on other people, but I am so unbelievably grateful Dasha was there through it all. Her big heart combined with her wisdom and experience in the birthing world helped shine a light in the darkness. Thank you for helping carry me through, mama doula Dasha!

Dasha was amazing to work with! She came to us as a backup doula when our original doula was sick as I was going into my first childbirth. She acted quickly, was very flexible and went above and beyond to make sure my first labor experience was the best that it could be. She listened to our wants and needs and supported us in the best ways accordingly. She brought different tools and items to help me through my contractions and to make sure the environment was comfortable. Dasha was personable, relatable and we were able to connect with her in such a short time. My partner and I were so happy and lucky to have had her help in contributing to our positive birth experience. I would definitely recommend her to others, and we also hope to have her part of our team again in the future.

Dasha was absolutely amazing! She truly went above and beyond to ensure my birthing experience was as positive as possible. During labor she was a constant source of encouragement. She offered various comfort measures and suggestions to ease my pain during contractions. After giving birth I had a minor complication and had to be transferred to the hospital. I absolutely appreciated her being at the hospital with me, she explained my situation to the ER staff as I was in pain and unable to do so myself. Dasha really helped make this transition as smooth as possible. I can't recommend her enough. Her services were invaluable, and I credit her with helping me achieve a beautiful and empowering birth experience.

Dasha was amazing. I would 100% recommend her. I had a crazy long labor and Dasha and her team helped me make it through 39 hours of contractions. We started as a home birth but then chose to go to the hospital because I was too exhausted. Not only is Dasha kind, personable and supportive but she is also highly organized and a great communicator. She got the hospital to accept my birth plan and follow it!

Where do I even begin? Our experience with our doula Dasha was nothing short of miraculous. From the moment we connected, her unwavering support and expertise enveloped us in a cocoon of comfort and confidence. She guided my husband and I with profound knowledge and an endless well of encouragement. Her ability to read and address our needs was astonishing, offering emotional support and practical guidance that made the birthing process an empowering, beautiful journey. Her passion and dedication to her craft shone brilliantly, and her presence was not just invaluable, but truly transformative. In every sense, she is like the guardian angel we never knew we needed. Her impact went far beyond what words can encapsulate – an absolute gem in the realm of birth support. If you're seeking a Doula, this is the individual who will not only assist in the birth but will elevate it into an experience you'll cherish forever. <3

I want to share my experience of childbirth with Dasha as my doula.

I met her long before my due date. I didn’t even know what a doula was at that time. Dasha offered to meet with me for coffee because she knew this was my first baby and offered her time to answer any of my ever growing questions.

We talked about childbirth and my vision for my birth, I learned a lot of new things for myself, these conversations helped me cope with anxiety and get to know Dasha. I live in Seattle and Dasha is based out of Boise. She explained all the logistics of out of state doula and promised to do everything she can to make it to my birth. She also introduced me to a local doula (her back up).

A few weeks before my due date, we had a virtual meeting and made my Birth plan.

My plans were for a natural birth, without interventions. I really liked that Dasha spoke in detail about variations in childbirth and I knew all the PROS and CONS.
I knew that my doula would support me every step of the way and that made me feel safe.

On August 20 at 12:00pm I started having contractions and my dream birth began. Dasha was already in Seattle for a couple days, waiting for me to be ready. I felt safe knowing she is nearby. We labored at home as long as possible and transferred to the hospital with ease just for the delivery. She never left my side.

I am incredibly grateful to my doula that I was able to give birth safely, quickly and felt empowered the whole time. I had total trust in her! I was able to trust my body and what helped me was, knowing that I had a supportive woman who knew what childbirth was like by my side. I'm happy that she was with me!

Dasha was everything and more of what I could’ve asked for in a doula. She is consistent, thoughtful, deeply caring for you, your baby and your whole family. She has so much knowledge to share and something I deeply appreciate about her is that she is always looking for continual learning and training for herself so that she can offer you her absolute best. She speaks truth and is so encouraging during birth and makes sure you’ve got everything you need. You would not be mistaken by hiring her as your doula. She’s the best of the best!

Dasha is an amazing combination of sweet, caring, and tenacious. She will do everything she can to make sure you get the outcomes that you want. She was a wonderful presence to have leading up to, and during delivery. I had an incredible birth experience and credit her greatly with the outcome. I consider her a friend and would recommend her to anyone needing a doula!

8/11/2023

Dasha was an incredible friend, support and resource throughout my pregnancy and birth. In my journey of becoming a Single Mom by Choice and not having any family living nearby, having a knowledgeable and accessible doula by my side was a godsend. I found Dasha through a local Meet the Doulas event and her caring nature immediately shone through. As we began planning for my birth, she guided me through all of the questions that I didn't even know to ask and made sure that I was prepared with multiple check-ins and suggestions. She was there with me at the hospital when I was admitted for labor at 3AM & was such a calming & supportive presence throughout labor, birth, & afterward. I would highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a doula!

We interviewed a few Doulas and Dasha stood out with her warm nature and strong experience - she immediately made us feel calm and actually really excited. I'm so glad we went with Dasha, because when things arose during the birth process, like my water breaking and her being my first text with an immediate call back, or helping with movements as contractions became stronger and gracefully nudging my partner on what to do next;  she was like the friend you needed there. Then, when things got a little more complicated, like discovering there was a vain in the way of babies head, she was like the doctor you always wanted on your side, guiding the nurse on suggestions that would make my delivery the most natural as possible, just like ee discussed in birth plan. Dasha has also been good about checking in postpartum and has made great recommendations on tips to try for breastfeeding and getting baby to sleep! I'd highly recommend Dasha for your journey as early as possible to get the best planning, support, and preparation advice!

Dasha just has a way of connecting with people. She goes to my gym and on her very first day because I was pregnant, approached me with a brochure. I hadn't considered a doula for my birth and was largely not interested at the time. The more I looked at the brochure that she gave me I got more interested in decided to sit down and talk about it. I learned a lot over the next bit about how it could benefit me and decided to move forward with it. I was a super stressed out pregnant lady. I was afraid of so many things regarding the birth process and not knowing what was going to happen and if I would be able to advocate for what I wanted.

That's where Dasha stepped in and we made a plan and I knew that no matter what she would advocate on my behalf in the best interest of me and my baby. She asked every question she could possibly ask to know how to help me if my plan were to change. Even down to how I can best be supported. For me I don't like placating statements like "everything is going to be okay", etc so she knew exactly how to help me through the labor process in the best way.

I ended up being induced and she was there from beginning till the very end. When my epidural didn't work correctly she was there trying to lighten the mood as we went through the contractions and made sure that the right people were being called to get it fixed. During pushing she was holding one leg with my husband on the other and helped with different (more helpful) cueing when I wasn't quite following what the doctor was saying.

One of the best parts was right as he was born she was immediately grabbing phones and taking pictures and videos and I appreciate that SO much. It didn't even occur to me because at that point I was highly medicated and, you know, just pushed a baby out and was baffled by the quick transition into motherhood.

It was so great to have her on my team and I've already called dibs on her for the next baby!

Dasha has a beautiful soul! I am always amazed at the energy she radiates and how powerfully she lives her life. When we were expecting our first baby, Dasha was our doula during pregnancy, birth and postpartum experience. She gave us a lot of good information and education, she was so calm during our birth, very supportive and involved. Her presence and humor gave me a lot of strength to move through my birth journey, during the hardest contractions. We were new parents and Dasha with patience and love explained how to set up a newborn routine, helped us with baby care and made sure I am recovering well postpartum. She was an extraordinary help during a challenging time in our life! We loved having her as our doula and so will you!

Our family called Dasha when we were searching for a postpartum doula. Unfortunately, she didn't have any availability at the time but she was so kind and was able to refer us to someone else, who we ended up hiring. She checked in on us and made sure we were taken care of. I would highly recommend Dasha to anyone looking for a birth or postpartum doula. She is very personable and supportive.

I was only days out from having my son when I developed mastitis. Although I was taking antibiotics, it was only getting worse. My toddler brought a cold home from daycare just before my due date, so I was simultaneously recovering from child birth, a severe cold, and battling this infection. I felt like I had been hit by a bus. At my breaking point, having worked with lactation and my antibiotic not working, I called Dasha. She came right over with essential oils and several new ideas to try. Her support and calming demeanor were exactly what I needed. Not only did she support me, but she was also kind and inclusive of my overly curious toddler. She continued checking on me for days after until the infection had subsided. Dasha is kind, calming, caring, generous, reliable, knowledgeable and supportive. I'm so thankful to call Dasha my friend, and I couldn't recommend her more to care for you in your time of need.

Dasha is incredible! My husband and I were so lucky to find Dasha when we did. We had a 35 week preemie and needed a little help to get us through our sleepless nights! Dasha has a tremendous heart and a gift for helping others. Her caring nature brought so much comfort to us and our beautiful son, Jack. She had amazing advice and experience to pull from and she never made us feel like we HAD to take her advice…she is so super respectful. I was actually sad when we outgrew her services because her presence is a a true gift to any Mama!

Dasha is a warm and compassionate person who was an excellent support partner for my family and I. She served as my post-partum doula, taking care of my baby all night so I could recover. My baby was jandiced and fussy, and she was able to get my newborn to take a pacifier and kept her calm while she was under UV lights. She kept wonderful records for me and supported me with texts and calls. She is wonderful with babies and children. I would recommend her to any family that needs additional support.

Dasha is a wonderful doula! She was my doula with my third baby. She helped me prepare for my labor and supported me in planning sibling care. She also helped plan and host my Babyshower! I loved her calm, confident and joyful presence. She became a friend and a knowledgeable resource for us. My birth went wonderful and her support was much appreciated. She helped to keep my other children occupied while I was at the hospital, and then provided much needed postpartum support for us as we navigated life with a newborn. I believe that every woman deserves a doula that will love on her, support her and bring on positive attitude during exciting journey of pregnancy and childbirth. I would choose Dasha over and over again, personally!

Dasha was my doula for non-medicated hospital birth of my second baby. I loved her support through my pregnancy with many tips and relaxation techniques. She kept on checking on me and encouraging me up to the day of the birth. When Dasha showed up in the room she brought with her a positive, happy and calm presence. We laughed a lot, we worked hard on different positions and when it came time to pushing, Dasha was holding my hand and encouraging the whole time. It was a hard birth, painful and intense. I loved that I felt supported and not alone. Dasha took pictures and videos for us - which are now the most valuable memories of that day. When my son was safely in my arms, Dasha drove around in the middle of the night to find me a meal of my dreams - hamburger, fries and a milkshake. We enjoyed this celebratory meal, as we laughed, cried and talked about my labor. Dasha became a friend for years to come after our journey together. I highly recommend her as your doula.

I loved having Dasha as my postpartum doula. After many hours of labor, I had a C-section with a difficult recovery and complications. I was exhausted, had a hard time keeping up with baby care and self care. Dasha came into the hospital room, helped to organize things and then took a night shift with the baby so my husband and I could rest. I felt so comfortable and confident that she will take the best care of our son, that I immediately fell into a deep, blissful sleep. I woke up a new person! She brought the baby to me for feedings, helped with EVERYTHING and was a miracle helper. She supported me in all my decisions and empowered me to get through this difficult time. Upon coming home Dasha continued supporting us, checking in on us and made me feel super confident as a first time mom. I cannot thank her enough for all the care and love she outpoured on us. If you choose her as your doula - you will not be dissapointed! You are going to love her!

Daria was my post partum doula and so helpful and amazing. She drove at 7am over an hour to deliver milk on a minutes notice when I was feeling overwhelmed with my breastfeeding journey. She taught my 3 day old baby how to latch properly and went over different positions with me until we found the one most comfortable for me and baby. She poured so much encouragement into me as a new first time mom and was there for me during every new step and question. I can say if it wasn't for her and her knowledge with breast feeding I would not have stuck it out and now 3 months later, breast feeding is one of my favorite parts of motherhood. I'm so happy and blessed to know Daria and have received so much help and support during those crucial first few weeks as a new mom. She's someone I will turn to for help with all my future babies.

Dasha’s presence is calming, comforting, and confident. Her loving support, knowledge, and witnessing her raise her own children is reassuring as you embark on your prenatal journey, birthing experience, and postpartum recovery. I highly recommend Dasha and her care as you welcome your precious baby (or babies!) into the world. ??

Dasha was present at the birth of our second daughter. She is a calm, encouraging, warm presence and enthusiastic about her job. During the quick unmedicated hospital birth, she was essential for providing counter pressure through strong contractions, ideas for labor positions, essential oils, and encouragement. My husband and I were on the fence about having a doula (we're both in the medical field and have been through it before, so we just didn't know if it was needed...) we both said we are so happy we had Dasha there and that her support got me farther along faster and calmer then last time. She also allowed us to be in the moment together and went with the flow when we had to make some birth plan changes. We are so grateful and would recommend her to anyone wanting some extra support during birth!

Dasha went above and beyond to make our birth experience feel supported and amazing. She loves what she does and her passion helped my husband and I feel supported in every step of labor, birth and postpartum. She took the time to understand me, the way I wanted to make decisions and then empowered me with the knowledge to make choices that felt good to me.

Starting before early labor, it was so helpful to have her explain what was happening and what I could expect. At the hospital, it was so helpful to have her there to anticipate what I might need when it became harder to ask for what I needed.

When my water broke, we discovered there was meconium in it. Dasha was so helpful explaining everything that could happen in a way that felt reassuring. When the NICU nurses had to take my son at birth, I was so grateful for Dasha's support. My husband was able to watch them care for our son and Dasha was there to support me. This support made a very scary moment feel so much less scary. I felt surprisingly calm and at ease during a very scary/uncertain moment.

Overall, my birth experience was positive and is now a precious memory despite complications and things that didn't go as planned. Dasha is a huge reason for that and I highly recommend her.

I have known Daria for many years. She is a very caring, loving, nurturing , knowledgeable person. She is very driven on helping people, friends and colleagues, not just with her presence, but with her heart.

I am still and forever thankful for her presence, support, care and amazing advices when I was delivering my son. We have been through a lot with my husband during labor and after, but Daria was by my side when I had my son, and she was a gift to us from up above.

She stayed with me in a hospital, helping to recover, helping with feeding. She was helping to care for my baby, and as I write this my emotions are taking over me due to relieving each moment and having so much appreciation in my heart for Daria.

Thank you for being amazing at what you do the best, and that is for being the best help anyone can ask for through the pregnancy, during the labor and after it. Thank you for being such an amazing friend and listener. Thank you for all phenomenal advices you give, they are beyond helpful. Thank you for being you!

I highly recommend Daria as a professional. She is truly a blessing and very easy to work with.

Dasha was my biggest source of support and information as I went through my pregnancy. She eased up my mind and helped deal with many fears that come with my changing body and hormones. I can't think of a single person who is more genuine, generous,  caring and passionate in all things mother and helping others. Dasha was also my shoulder to lean on during postpartum. She talked me through anxieties of being a new parent.  Supprted and aided me through my recovery. She is a Walking Wikipedia of all symptoms, physical and emotional. I couldn't imagine going through pregnancy and postpartum without her. This woman is magic.

I am so grateful to Daria for her support through my pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
She is a professional labor assistant who provided emotional and physical support for me.
My labor was lasting 32 hours and through the entire time, Daria paid attention to my physical comfort, provided various techniques to keep labor progressing, we laughed a lot, she provided massage and various touch support and overall labor process education. She answered multiple questions and prepared me for each step.

English is not my primary language, so Daria provided interpreting support to help communicate with doctors and nurses throughout my labor and postpartum.

Daria was there for me all day and all night, when I was exhausted and upset, when I was lacking sleep and was full of worry. She was a shoulder I leaned on, I cannot imagine doing it without her. She reassured me and guided me in the moments of fear and anxiety, when I thought I cannot do it anymore.
During postpartum support Daria visited me at the hospital first. The minute she walked in the door she made sure I was comfortable and happy. She brought me hot tea and my favorite cheese cupcakes and helped to take care of the baby so I can enjoy my treat.
As a person, Daria is patient, respectful, reliable, professional, and very passionate about her role as a doula and postpartum doula. She is also always emotionally present.
She is truly the best doula a woman can wish for and I am happy to recommend her to everyone!
