Hiring Simone as our Doula was the best decision we made. We hired Simone to support us through our pregnancy and birth, as well as, for a few sessions postpartum. This was our first pregnancy and child so we didn't know how to navigate the process or what to expect. Simone guided us seamlessly through the process, answering our questions (which came in the form of a list each time she visited us), and sharing additional wisdom along the way. Most importantly, Simone has a calm and nurturing quality to her that instantly makes you feel at ease. My partner doesn't gush about people, but after the first visit with Simone he told her how calming and supported she made us feel (which is high praise!). Having Simone guide as when I went into labor and be with us throughout the birth and delivery process was crucial. We would have been soo lost without her and instead my delivery process felt like a fun and even relaxing event. Finally, having Simone to check-in on us during those first few weeks postpartum helped us navigate the early days of caring for a newborn, in which we had zero prior experience. Knowing that Simone was coming over made us feel more at ease. She even cooked for us during those visits so we had the benefit of peppering her with questions and knowing we'd have food to eat when we didn't have time or energy to do that. Overall, I highly recommend Simone as your Doula! I would hire her again if I had another kid just so we could hang out with her again throughout the pregnancy and birthing process!

Simone was an absolute joy to work with, both before, during and after the birth. She came over to our apartment multiple times before the birth to help with multiple things, including breathing techniques, general stress relief due to the anxiety of the upcoming birth, and during the birth she was so great, very attentive and calm, exactly what you're hoping for in that moment ??

I'd recommend her to anyone looking for a doula.

Simone was an amazing doula during my first pregnancy. She's very knowledgeable and provided great guidance to me during labor and delivery at NY Presbyterian hospital in lower Manhattan. Her calm demeanor helped to ease my anxiety around labor and delivery. She guided me to ask my OB and physician assistants insightful questions so I could make the right decisions.
Thanks to Simone guidance, despite been induced I was able to deter physician assistants from unnecessarily administering pitocin since my labor  was progressing just fine. Simone helped me stay active during labor before I was given epidural. She was also helpful during postpartum. I would totally have Simone as my Doula again! She's phenomenal.

My doula, Simone, was an absolute lifesaver during my birth journey. I was initially nervous about the labor process due to previous negative experiences, but her calming presence and expertise helped me navigate it with confidence and ease.  
She was incredibly supportive and knowledgeable, providing me with the information and resources I needed to make informed decisions about my birth plan. She helped me advocate for myself and my preferences during labor, ensuring my voice was heard and respected.  
Her presence was a constant source of comfort and encouragement. She was patient and understanding, helping me through moments of doubt and fear. Her guidance and encouragement helped me stay empowered throughout the process.  
 
Beyond her support during labor, Simone provided invaluable postpartum care. She helped me navigate the challenges of breastfeeding, provided essential support and guidance, connected me to resources, and ensured I felt safe and comfortable in caring for my newborn.  
 
I am incredibly grateful for the support and guidance Simone provided. She not only made my birth experience positive but also played a crucial role in my postpartum recovery. Her entire vibe was a 10 out of 10. I would highly recommend her services to any expectant mother in the Brooklyn area.

What can I say that she was and still is an angel that was sent to me in my time of need? As Dr. Sues described in his book "Oh The Places You'll Go", She came to me while I was in my "waiting place". At this place I was losing hope, feeling alone, and was very anxious because I couldn't see the full portrait of my future with my soon new baby girl. She was the light in my dark place and a substitute parent when one wasn't there during birth. My labor took 3 days and she stayed all three days and still cared for me when I was grumpy. She even was the plus one during my c-section and the reason I had the first cry and pictures of my baby girl Nala. If I have another one, I will search the moon and back to have her a part of my delivery again.

First time parents here. Working with Simone was the best decision we made. During my pregnancy she joined us for appointments/workshops, recommended classes, helped me set up my postpartum cart, answered a million questions, checked in regularly, and made sure we felt prepared and confident in our journey. During labor/delivery she was an advocate, made sure my needs were met and kept me calm the entire time. It was nice to have someone on our side looking out for us so my husband and I could just focus on bringing baby to the world. Postpartum I ended up developing preeclampsia and she swooped in to help with baby while I had to be re-admitted for a couple days, and checked in regularly again. Even helped us around the apartment. Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about Simone. She went above and beyond. Will definitely call her again when it comes to baby #2. If you're looking for a doula who will guide you through the big and little things without judgment and with all your preferences in mind, book Simone.

The doula experience is very home warming. Simone was very helpful with preparing me for delivery from recommending classes and workouts and understanding it was like she became another part of my family. She made my delivery very comfortable and Relaxing. I would definitely recommend. The experiences a 10 out of 10????????????

Simone was a rock during labor & delivery. She was always one call away if I needed her for any questions or concerns, & overall made the birthing experience so much smoother. I don't know what my partner and I would've done without her. From the day we met the connection was great she is such a genuine, gentle & loving soul; just what you need for such a personal life experience. I would love for her to join us again with any future pregnancies and I will refer her to all family and friends.

Simone is truly heaven sent. She was referred by a good friend and Simone is the epitome of what my friend described. Loving, nurturing, kind, encouraging, empathetic and the list goes on.... Simone was there within hours as promised and stayed with us all the way. She did home visits and check on us and we still stay in contact to this day (my daughter is 2). I love Simone and would recommend her to anyone in need of an amazing doula!

Simone was my doula for my first pregnancy and man, the things she taught me/ supported me through were great! She was reliable, kind and not afraid to do the work of a supportive doula. She also helped me post partum and I feel really indebted for her support. She is a wonderful person and I'm glad to see she is supporting other women on their birthing journey. Simone assisted by attending doctors appointments, coming over during labor and giving me massages to assist with the pain, taking pictures of the birth and running errands adter the baby was born.

Ms.Colbert is such a wonderful, friendly, kind, loving and calm doula anyone could ever ask for, did I mention she gives the best back rub ever ??.I had an exceptional experience with Simone dont think I could of gone through labor without her by my side. I Would highly recommend Ms. Simone Colbert she is the best!
