My husband and I interviewed several doulas and are so glad we went with Rey. She goes above and beyond what many doulas offer, especially when it comes to prenatal support. We appreciated being able to meet with her many times and establish a strong rapport before the birth. She was so attentive to our needs and was always ready to connect us to helpful resources in our community.
I ended up going into labor earlier than expected, but she still showed up right away and was present for my entire labor, during which she provided lots of comfort measures and guidance that helped me achieve the unmedicated birth I wanted. But still, as often happens with birth, there were a few aspects of the experience that didn't go the way I'd hoped; Rey helped me process through all of that during our postpartum meetings and continued to send me resources even after we were done officially working together, which I so appreciate. We would highly recommend her!

Working with Reyan was such a great experience! From the start she was meeting with us regularly (and driving 40+ minutes to our house). She labored with me for 36+ hours at our house, a birth house and then went with us when we were transferred to a hospital.
Reyan went above and beyond! My husband and I both have nothing but great things to say about her! Hire her!!!

My birth didn't go in the direction I planned at all. I was setup to deliver my baby at a local birth house with trusted midwives I've built a relationship with throughout my pregnancy. I always know to expect the unexpected, especially with birth, but that didn't change the fact that I NEEDED Rey. She was there to support me during my 70+ hours after my water broke until we welcomed our son into the world and into postpartum. Not to mention the resources and support she provided me by text (Whenever I had a question come up or was looking for some advice.) and in person meetings during my pregnancy. She held my hand when I was scared and in pain, was there to reassure me every step of the way, and even played my favorite song when the time came for baby to finally greet us. She also took amazing photos to document our labor and delivery journey. Even during the tough moments for me because I wanted to see it all. The raw beauty and pain I experienced. I'm so thankful I have those special and powerful moments. She would have respected my wishes either way, in regards to the photos I wanted along with every decision I made along the way, free of judgement. She has such a calming and reassuring presence and was fast acting when I needed help. Right after I gave birth, and the hospital staff cleared out of the room, I started to freeze. My teeth were chattering and my body was shivering uncontrollably. Rey kept a close eye on me and was quick to recognize something was wrong and immediately called for help. Turns out I was hemorrhaging. She has such a warm energy and a passion for birth work. I wasn't sure a doula would be worth the money when I was researching birth years ago and planning my future pregnancy, if that was in the cards for my husband and I, but looking back I would 1,000% hire a doula every time in the future, and I sincerely hope Rey can be there for me again.
