To our sweet friend, sister in Christ, prayer warrior, and doula. Words cannot express how much of a blessing and honor it was to have Amber at our sides through the pregnancy, labor and birth of our daughter. Her confident, calm, nature was a gift in itself, and while applying that throughout our pregnancy journey was a breath of fresh air. We delivered our baby at home, but I know without a shadow of a doubt what a blessing Amber would be in hospital setting as an advocate. She knows birth, she knows how to advocate for her clients, and she is a wonderful addition to anyone's birth team. Thanking Jesus for her hands and feet of service, now and always!

What can I say about Amber? Well let me start by saying that I seriously don't think that I could have gone through the experience that I had without her. She was an amazing friend and comforting voice in a time when everything around me felt chaotic. 

I know that people tell you to expect the unexpected with labor and delivery. So I prepared myself for that, but I wasn't prepared for how different things would go for me. I had to be admitted for labor even though I was trying to wait (I was 41 and 1/2 Weeks) and then in delivery I had received a 4th degree tear that I was not expecting at all. It was all very scary for a first time mom. But she was with me every step of the way. Without her and my husband I don't think that this experience would be nearly as good as it had been. I feel very blessed. There were some struggles but having a friendly and calm voice to help lift you up during those hard times is invaluable. Not to mention all the other things that she did from her breathing techniques, tools, experience, getting to know me beforehand, and always supporting my decisions. 

I can't express how truly grateful I am that I found her and that she was able to be there for my first pregnancy and L&D. 

If you are looking for someone who can help make this journey more enjoyable and less frightening I would highly recommend Amber. I truly believe that God has given her a gift for this and she does an exceptional job in all aspects. I can't recommend her enough.

Amber Hackworth is incredible! I could not have achieved my natural birth goal without her. She applied counter pressure with every contraction that was a game changer allowing me to be able to handle contractions. She gave sound advice throughout the whole process and supported my husband and I's decisions. She is a very calming presence that helped me stay calm through contractions. She was very professional and always available when we needed her. I told her and my husband that we would have to fly her out for births if we moved to another state! I would recommend her 1000 times over.

Amber was the perfect addition to our labor team. As first time parents, we were somewhat anxious about all of the unknowns and uncertainties that come along with labor, and she helped calm those fears and concerns both before labor by answering my many questions by text and then during labor at the hospital. She helped us to know what to expect and when and what was likely to come next. She was a consistent voice and advocate for my wishes with nursing staff and family during a multi-day labor due to being induced. I went into labor with an interest in natural birth and avoiding the cascade of interventions but also a willingness to take things as they came and she helped me feel supported and heard as we considered and made decisions to get my very slow labor going in a way that was aligned with my goals and ideals. She struck the perfect balance between my labor plan and the hospitals' plans for my labor and helped me to have the most beautiful birthing experience. She also helped us to laugh and relax in the lighter stages of labor. I ended up having an epidural and she helped me to optimize the timing of when we took that step so that my labor didn't stall out after working so hard to make progress. She helped me feel physically and emotionally comfortable in a very challenging birth and I'm so grateful for her presence as we brought my son into this world. Not to mention, she snapped one of my most favorite photos in this world immediately after birth with me holding our son for the first time and my husband watching in the background. I 1,000% recommend Amber she was an absolute God sent for my husband and I during labor and delivery. I had alot doubts about myself leading up to labor and even during labor, but she truly helped calm my fears and anxieties and helped me push through when i felt like i couldn't do it anymore. She brought so many helpful tools to our birth my absolute favorites were the cub stool, essential oils, and of course the snacks. She brings a very calm presence and helped me have a voice throughout the whole process. I'm so very thankful she was there i couldn't have done it without her.

I've encountered numerous statistics highlighting the positive impact of doulas in reducing the reliance on pain medication and interventions during childbirth. I believe a natural birth wouldn't have been possible for me without Amber's invaluable support. I deeply trusted her judgment and extensive experience. Her voice was the one I most relied upon in the delivery room. Her words of encouragement and unwavering support provided immense comfort and motivation throughout the entire process. She honored and respected our choices, empowering my husband and I as first-time parents. Knowing she was advocating for my well-being during labor was incredibly reassuring. Her valuable advice on stretches and dietary adjustments contributed to the baby's optimal positioning and prepared my body for the demands of labor.

If you are interested in Doula services I highly recommend Amber! She is AMAZING! The best of the best at what she does. Especially if you want a natural birth. You need her. I never in a million years thought I could have an epidural free delivery, but Amber made this possible and I know I truly couldn’t do it without her. Amber helped me to stay calm, and gave me so much encouragement. She used counter pressure hip squeezes that helped sooo much with the pain. Changing of positions, breath work, walking and activity working through contractions to keep me as comfortable as possible and to keep my labor progressing. I couldn’t recommend her enough. She was my biggest advocate, biggest cheerleader, and supporter alongside my husband. I never knew my body could be capable of such a thing and this was truly a life changing experience that I’m so grateful for. Let Amber assist you with your babies birth, you won’t regret it.

Amber was my dream doula!! She was an incredible support and source of information throughout my entire pregnancy and made my husband and I feel so good about the delivery of our first baby. We were both pretty nervous about the birth of our first son but Amber helped to alleviate fears and helped me to prepare so well for the arrival of our little one. Amber arrived at our house promptly and supported me through early labor. When it was time to head to the hospital, Amber followed us and helped me to feel at ease while going through triage and getting admitted. My goal was to have an unmedicated, natural birth and I genuinely don't think I could have done it without Amber. Amber helped me to stay calm, focused on my goals and used counter pressure, hip squeezes, changing of positions, breath work and several other tools to keep me as comfortable as possible and to keep my labor progressing. Amber was the biggest cheerleader and was so instrumental in a fantastic, beautiful birth experience. I will be using her for all of my future births and cannot reccomend a better doula!! Amber is professional, compassionate, knowledgable, client focused and reliable. We consider Amber apart of our family now :)

We had the BEST experience with Amber as our doula. From the initial meeting we had together I knew she would be a great match for me and my husband as we welcomed our first baby. Amber was very attentive when it came to answering my questions prior to delivery via text and in-person chats. I felt extremely informed and had very low anxiety (which really says something for me??) leading up to delivery. It was important to me to give a natural birthing experience a try. I wasn't necessarily anti-epidural, but believed my body could support me through the birthing process how I needed it to. Amber was incredibly supportive and helped educate me on ways to strengthen my body prior to delivery. She was always providing resources and tips to help things go as smoothly as possible. When I had to be induced due to complications at 37+3, Amber was a MAJOR source of peace for my husband and me. She was available via text until we felt ready to invite her to the hospital when it was time for more intense laboring. She was able to offer alternatives to epidural and pain management to support my body during my pitocin-induced labor. She suggested things I never would have known to advocate for. Thoughout my delivery I never once questioned my well-being because she was right there at my side. She held my hand and kept the hair out of my face during the most trying experience of my life. Thanks to her I was able to safely (and rather quickly) deliver my girl without pain medication. She was invaluable to the process. I'm so happy that one of the first faces my baby got to see was her sweet, encouraging & patient self--the perfect testament to the woman I hope my girl will grow into someday. We love Amber--you and your family will too!

After having a high intervention and epiduralized induction with my first baby, I aspired for an all natural unmedicated labor with no interventions for my second baby. I knew I needed a doula to make my birth experience better, and to increase my chances of having a successful unmedicated labor!
I met Amber when I was 36 weeks. She was so open and accommodating to whatever I wanted/needed to feel comfortable.
When I went into labor (at 40 weeks + 5 days), she was super helpful with coaching me via text to get through my early/active labor.
When she came to the hospital with us, she helped me control my breathing, make labor sounds more productive, gave words of encouragement, and helped answer questions my nurses had that I could not answer because I was at THAT point of labor.
I never ONCE thought during my labor, “I need the epidural” or “ I can’t do this”.
Amber was AMAZING! I’m so so glad that she was apart of my birth team.
Unmedicated birth FOR THE WIN!
