Post a testimonial for Kelli Quast

Kelli was an important part of my birth! My husband and I felt more comfortable doing a home birth with a doula present, and she did not disappoint. :) She was with us for nearly 20 hours and had great suggestions. She helped with positioning for comfort and getting labor going again when it had slowed. She knew the right things to say when I was going through some challenging contractions. We are glad we had her with us for our first birth!

We met Kelli through a prenatal birthing class. Throughout the course she was knowledgeable as well as real and relatable. Her advice, helpful tips, and just overall knowledge made an impression on me. I didn't decide until later on in pregnancy that I wanted a doula. At that point I knew who was the first person we'd call to check for availability, and I was so thankful that Kelli was able to take us.
Having Kelli as a doula was the right choice. She was on the phone with us and helped us make the decision to head to birth center and met us there. Throughout labor she was by my side, talking me through what was going on, helping me to breathe through contractions, suggesting different positions at different stages of labor. My birth experience was such a positive one and in large part it was because we had Kelli by our side and supporting us through the whole process.

Having Kelli with me on the day of my daughter’s birth was an amazing gift! As a first time mom with a desire to have an unmedicated birth, I knew I needed someone by my side to help prepare me for this experience. When my husband and I first met Kelli at a prenatal brith class, we appreciated her calm presence, depth of knowledge, and mindset regarding birth. We both knew she would be the perfect person to be with us! During our meeting prior to birth, Kelli was able to educate us and help us feel empowered to have the birth experience we wanted. She also gave my husband ideas on how to best assist and support me through labor. During those last few weeks of my pregnancy, Kelli was available to answer my questions and give tips on ways to stay at peace during those final days! I knew I would be in good hands with Kelli at my birth, and she did not disappoint. Kelli’s peaceful presence and guidance during labor allowed me to work through difficult moments with confidence and keep my mind focused. She was amazing to work with and we loved every minute with her! We have already referred her to some of our close friends. She’s the woman you want with you!

Kelli is awesome! She is quick to respond to questions and concerns and seems to have an answer for almost everything, and if she doesn’t, she’ll find it or find someone who might. Kelli is easy to get along with and has a down to earth personality. She knows when to alleviate stress with lighthearted conversations and when to be serious and in the zone. She’s got tips and tricks for pain management, labor progression, and common pregnancy complaints. Kelli helped both my husband and I throughout the labor and birth process. She allowed my husband to be hands on by showing him how to help. My husband and I are grateful we got the opportunity to work with Kelli and hope to work with her again in the future! It’s an honor to share such an unforgettable moment with Kelli!

Kelli was fantastic throughout the entire labor process! It had gotten to the point where the doctors wanted me to be induced due to going past my due date and baby measuring large. While trying to work through the decision of being induced, Kelli provided me with information on both sides of the situation and supported whatever decision my husband and I chose. We moved forward with an induction and Kelli was there with us through the whole thing. She made sure that both me and my husband were doing alright and staying in the right head space. She was able to help guide decisions and reminded me of what I wanted my birth to look like going into it. At one point I had mentally hit my wall and didn't think I could go any longer without an epidural. However, Kelli reminded me of what I wanted originally, she talked through what I would need to do in order to get an epidural, and showed me how strong I had been until then and could remain to be through the rest. I'm not sure I could have done it all unmedicated without her help in the entire process of deciding on the induction, going through the induction, and helping me push our baby into this world. I will definitely have Kelli there again if we get blessed to bring another baby into this world.

Kelli was awesome to work with. After my initial consult meeting with her, I knew I wanted her to help me navigate the rest of pregnancy and be at my birth. Anytime I had questions, I emailed Kelli and she got back to me with information with sources cited. I did not have an easy pregnancy, from all day morning sickness well into the 2nd trimester, to pregnancy induced carpal tunnel and then gallbladder attacks that made it so I threw up everything and ended up in the hospital at 36 weeks. Kelli was supportive through all of that. She helped me develop my birth plan which took a huge load off my shoulders. The day of Skylar's birth Kelli was there helping me breathe through the contractions, holding my hand while getting the epidural, holding my leg(s) while pushing, and so much more. Most of all Kelli was patient, calm, and encouraging the whole time. Ultimately, at one point, Kelli suggested pushing on my side, which helped bring baby down in the Birth Canal and prevented me from needing a C section. Having Kelli there was great as I knew I had someone there for me, advocating for me, and keeping my needs, wants, and birth plan a priority.
