As first-time parents, my husband and I knew we wanted to hire a doula, but we never knew really how important or helpful they could be until we met Felisha. She is amazing! We had lots of questions that she helped us think through thoroughly and with patience. Felisha was extremely supportive of our decisions, but also helped explain our all our options. What we really appreciated was her time and dedication to making sure our needs were met & we felt confident going into our birth. While we knew we had her on our side to help be an advocate during birth – Felisha guided us so that we felt comfortable being our own advocates too.

I had quite the abnormal labor experience with a quick birth start to finish – but when my water broke at 1am and my labor started – Felisha was just a phone call away and was able to help talk through the beginning stages on call with me – but also provided my husband with guidance to time my contractions and advise when to head to the hospital. She was so encouraging throughout the entire labor experience and while my daughter came quickly (!), we would not have been able to navigate the whole experience without her support. In such a vulnerable time, Felisha was always so warm and kind. We would recommend Felisha wholeheartedly to all future families – and we are looking forward to having her on board with us when we expand our own family!

Felisha was positively amazing from the moment we connected via Zoom. As a first time parent, I had lots of questions about everything under the Sun. Felisha was very patient with me, supportive of all of my asking and took the time to explain everything I wasn't sure about. Throughout the duration of my third trimester, she was readily available by text and phone call. During our in person meetings to go over my birth plan and goals, she was personable, knowledgeable, and wholly supportive for all of my wishes. 

My birth plan went a little haywire with having to be induced at 41+2. Felisha knew that wasn't my hope, and was gentle and encouraging during all of my concerns about the situation. She even suggested an extra phone call meeting the day before my induction so she could advise my partner and I about what to expect so we felt calmer about the situation. My labor was slow going until I received an epidural and then all of a sudden things moved incredibly quick. Felisha trusted her gut and met us before I thought she would have needed to because my labor moved so quickly. She was confident in my abilities even though this was my first child, set the mood in the birthing room exactly as I had hoped, and helped me feel comfortable during my surprisingly quick 50 minutes of pushing. She then took pictures (per my request) of my partner and I meeting our daughter for the first time that I'll cherish forever. I'm incredibly thankful for finding Felisha, and plan to hire her again for any future children we have!

We had a wonderful birth with Felisha. She knows her stuff. She was conscientious of my somewhat more precipitous birth history and planned accordingly so she could support me through the entirety of the event. She was a great advocate for my birth wishes and has been very responsive with questions and supplementing my birthing team for a more holistic approach. She is great!

Felisha is the absolute best to work with. She goes above and beyond to make sure that your needs are met, educate you on your options & advocate for you where necessary. Extremely thoughtful and kind I couldn't have imagined my late pregnancy stages and birth experience without her. Not only was she helpful for all the big questions but all the small ones too ?? I had quite the abnormal labor experience but even with that she was there exactly when we needed her providing support in ways my husband and I really needed. From oils and massage to alternative positions, her presence was a must!! Her support post partum as well has been huge in navigating new mom life--from the teas to connections with other holistic practitioners I seriously am such a grateful mama. I feel like I've found a new friend and not just a temporary relationship. Can't recommend her enough!

Felisha is wonderful! My husband and I welcomed our first child this spring and Felisha gave us fantastic support in the postpartum phase. She is very knowledgeable and experienced given her professional background and as a mom of three. Equally as important, she is kind, warm, and thoughtful. Bringing someone to your home right after going through a life changing event of becoming a parent is very intimate experience. We automatically felt at ease with Felisha and looked forward to every visit as did our son. In fact, my husband and I called Felisha the baby whisperer because our son always seemed so happy with her. Felisha helped us with daytime visits and overnights, gave us confidence, answered our questions, and importantly let us recover. For the mamas out there, the fourth trimester is real and if you are able to bring on support during this time, do it. I always appreciated how Felisha checked in with me and not just the baby. For any expecting parents thinking about working with a postpartum doula – my husband and I strongly encourage it!

Felisha was wonderful! She took care of our baby overnight while my husband and I got some much needed sleep, and shared knowledge about feeding and basic baby care. She was also very helpful during daytime visits showing us things like how to give baby a bath, helping organize our space and baby things efficiently, trying out baby carriers, etc. She has a calm, warm, caring demeanor that helped us mitigate the initial stress of the first few weeks/month of taking care of a newborn- as anxious first time parents, we appreciated her so much!
