We hired Joann as our post partum doula, and of all the decisions we’ve made as new parents, this has been one of the best!

Joann is knowledgeable, kind, compassionate and knows how to anticipate our every need. The fact that she does days and overnights is such a luxury. (My mom-friends are so jealous). Sleep is absolutely crucial to surviving the newborn stage, so being able to hand off baby to nap and then wake up to a clean kitchen, folded laundry and a happy, fed baby is life changing.

As an anxious first time mom, having a top-notch doula as part of our support team has been integral to my survival. All our family lives out of town and my partner travels for work, so an initial three week journey has quickly turned into 6+ weeks, with us still booking Joann for extra days when needed.

My only regret is that we didn’t have her with us during delivery!

We initially engaged the services of Joann early in my wife's pregnancy.

Throughout the entire duration, she proved to be an invaluable source of support, consistently offering helpful information and unwavering emotional backing.

When my wife went into labor, Joann's dedication and assistance exceeded all our expectations. She was an indispensable pillar of support, guiding us through each stage with expertise and compassion.

Her presence and guidance were instrumental in making the experience as smooth and positive as possible. I wholeheartedly endorse Joann for anyone in search of a doula who is not only professional but also genuinely caring and supportive.

Joann was our labour and postpartum doula and she is absolutely amazing! My labour was 17+ hours long and Joann was right there providing her support at the beginning till the very end. I was in such good hands with Joann and it provided a sense of calm for my husband as well being first time parents.

During my pregnancy as well, Joann would always check in to see how I was doing and I loved being able to message her with all of my random questions instead of googling answers on my own. She is very experienced and knowledgeable.

Sleep deprivation is certain for all new parents and having Joann come on those nightshifts as a postpartum doula was such a nice break for us. We would have a solid 8 hours of sleep, confident that our baby was in excellent hands.

We couldn't recommend Joann enough! We love her!

We hired Joann for doula services for the birth of our second child and we are so glad that we did. Her support and guidance throughout the end of my pregnancy, during labour, and postpartum was so valuable. Having a kind, knowledgeable, and caring professional that I trusted helping me and advocating for me made a huge difference in my birth experience. We are so grateful for Joann and would absolutely hire her again!

Hiring Joann was the BEST decision my husband and I made for our birth and postpartum journey. My birth was the perfect example of things not going as planned and Joann was there every step
of the way with unwavering support. Her knowledge and passion for what she does is incredible. No amount of research I did could replace having Joann there for support. She made sure every decision we made was well informed and was there for the little things you don’t think of (my husband was able to leave the hospital and grab us food, parking etc. ) She continued to check up on us after birth and answer any questions we had. It was nice just talking things out with her like she was a friend to confide in. I HIGHLY recommend Joann if you are at all considering a Doula. She truly helped me have the most empowering birth experience and my husband and I are so grateful for her!

Joann was amazing from start to finish and I cannot put into words how grateful my family is for her support. Joann was supportive from our first meeting with her and was always available on WhatsApp to answer questions and checked in regularly after my appointments etc prior to giving birth. She made me feel so at ease throughout my active labour & birth. I don’t think I could have done it without her! She knew exactly what to do / say to keep me going and kept me calm throughout. Having her there really made the difference and she made me feel empowered throughout my decision making and during the final stages; I honestly feel that I would have ended up having a c-section if she wasn’t there with me! Joann was there immediately after birth and checked in regularly - she was there when I needed her and her postpartum overnight visits were so valuable to us during those first few weeks. I couldn’t recommend Joann enough! She really is a superhero!

Joann came to help with over nights with our fourth baby in the 'fourth trimester' so I could get some longer stretches of sleep in order to be operational in the morning for my older kids. 
After the fourth child (or the second!) you realize sleep deprivation is one of the largest stressors on the family as a whole; a parent's mental and physical health can become fragile quickly with poor   sleep. Joann was always patient, kind, caring and compassionate. She arrived on time and was flexible to schedule changes.
We felt very confident and comfortable having her take care of our son in our home. I would not hesitate to recommend Joann if you are seeking postpartum support for your family. She is wonderful!

We hired Joann last minute and she was very easy to book with. My birth went well, and having her support was so incredible. I did require forceps and so the recovery is where I needed the most help. I struggled a lot with some complications with my recovery and she took charge of our daughter so that my husband and I could rest and nap. She was so good at comforting the baby, she had so much patience for my screaming baby. She showed my husband and I how to do tummy time, bath time, and she showed us how to established a bedtime routine when the time comes...She even did some occasional house work too.... Tidying our main floor, kitchen, baby's laundry, refilling our water bottles, so that I didn't have to constantly be going up and down stairs. One day we ran out of dog food and she went to buy her some food for us! That was incredibly appreciated! That kind of help was so nice to have, especially being first time parents, we really needed the guidance. It was so nice to have her throughout our birth and postpartum period to help and have our questions answered.  My husband and I opted for the five visits and felt it might not have been enough, we could have used another visit or two. We loved having Joann around! We learned so much from her! We are so grateful to have had her. I would 100% recommend using Joann as your doula! You can really tell how much she loves what she does!

As a first time mom, almost reaching my 40s and with very little family support, I was limited with whom to share my deep joy, fears and excitement about my pregnancy. It wasn't a sure thing that I would have ever been able to be a mom and now that it has become a reality I know in my heart that having Joann by my side before birth (prenatally), during my labour, and after (for two postpartum visits) was a blessing. Joann was pivotal in my birth story and in giving me a positive experience. Joann has a youthful spirit that compliments her personal and professional expertise and competence. She is without a doubt capable. Joann was resourceful in answering my questions and providing me with educational resources about all of my questions or concerns, anywhere from belly wraps to prenatal massage and more. More importantly, she was reliable, positive and non-judgmental. She sought to provide me with knowledge and perspective that matched my wishes. She was quick to respond to her emails, text messages and phone calls and was prompt at all of her visits with me. With all of that being said, she was extremely important during my labour. She acted as an advocate for me and my husband and helped us in our decision-making when time was limited. I am so grateful I made the decision to have her by my side. Thank you!

Joann was amazing to work with during the birth and postpartum period of our first child. She has a wealth of knowledge. Not only was she able to provide us with labour support in the prehospital period, but she was our advocate when we arrived in hospital. She is kind, compassionate and supportive. We hired Joann for postpartum support for the first two months of our daughter's birth. It was the best decision we made as Joann came to our place two nights a week and it allowed me to get extra sleep to take care of our toddler and baby the next day! Joann was always punctual and made my life so much easier by helping me stay organized in our kitchen and living area! I'd highly recommend Joann as a doula and am very appreciative of everything she did to support my recovery and postpartum period.
