Carly was an absolute dream to work with! Both my husband and I can't say enough good things about our experience. Both the prebirth meetings and the birthing process were great with her by our side. 
One of the best things was her support for my husband. Not only did she answer all 1500 of his questions but she made me feel comfortable and confident during the process which in change helped me! 
I hope to use Carly again for our next kids and will be referring all my friends to her!

It's hard for me to put my grattitude and love for Carly into words, but I'll try my best. From our very first meeting she listened without judgement, answered about one million questions (always through a very professional and unbiased lense) and made me feel confident in the fact that I could have an unmedicated hospital birth. She provided resources to help us think through some of the roadblocks we might face, and together we came up with a "plan" - albeit a lose one becuase birth is wild! My son's birth was fast and intense and there were MANY moments when I felt like giving up, but Carly was there...calm, steadfast and resolute in the fact that I could do it. To have another mother look you in the eyes and talk you through transition is a powerful experience. My husband was a fantastic support, but I literally feel like I couldn't have done it without Carly.

We recently started talking about a second baby and when discussing where/when/how, my husband said, "whatever we do, we need Carly there". She is grace, kindness and love personified - a true earth angel. We will be forever grateful to her and hope to have her by our side as we grow our family.

I had my birth at a hospital that is known for being intervention heavy. I knew it would be helpful to have a doula present to help me advocate for myself. Carly went above and beyond from our first meeting up through postpartum. She spent time with us before baby to help us create a birth plan and I was able to text her with any questions I had. Like many births, our baby came on her own terms and our plan went out the window! However, the meetings with Carly beforehand were so informative that I felt educated and empowered on the choices I made during labor. Carly was also extremely supportive when I ended up changing my plan. Not only did she help me, but also my husband! He felt comfortable because I felt comfortable & she helped him to help me during labor. We loved having Carly beside us for the birth of our baby girl! Bonus: Carly was able to get a video of our daughter being born! We loved working with Carly and would recommend her to anyone!

I had a wonderful experience with Carly! From the first meeting with her, I knew she was the person to support me and help me have the experience I was looking for. Carly is so sweet, very knowledgeable and very professional. Carly was with me during labor for over 24 hours and I was so happy to have her with me. She was supportive of any decision I made and also helped me make my decisions without adding any pressure. 100% would recommend her to anyone!!

Carly is highly responsive and motivated to help you to achieve your desired birth plan. 

She is very knowledgeable and caring and helpful in determining what may or may not help during your birthing journey. 

Carly helped me to keep as calm as I could be throughout labor and after the birth of our child. I loved that she kept my husband involved and gave him a role during the process so he was not put to the side during the labor.

Carly was my doula for the birth of my first child and was so incredibly amazing throughout my whole pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey! For as excited as I was to become a mother, I was actually pretty terrified about labor and delivery. During my pregnancy Carly helped me identify my fears and teach me and my husband some tools to help manage them. I also wanted to try an unmedicated birth in a hospital but was not opposed to an epidural if that became something I wanted. During my very long labor and delivery Carly was a constant source of calm and reminded me of my inner strength. When the pain and slow progress became too much for me to manage and I asked for the epidural, Carly was so supportive of this decision and helped remind me that it was not me giving up and instead pivoting to a different part of my birth plan. Lastly, Carly was an amazing advocate for me and my husband when we were too exhausted or unaware of how to advocate for ourselves at the hospital. I cannot speak highly enough about Carly and would highly recommend her to anyone considering a doula for the birth of their child!

We hired Carly as our doula after my husband suggested we get a doula because he felt he needed a little extra support and guidance to be supportive to me during the birth, as this was our first baby. We planned on having a home birth but things don't always go as planned and we ended having to do the complete opposite. Even though things ended up in the hospital needing a c-section, Carly was there for the entire journey. I never thought about needing a doula for a hospital birth but it was everything I never knew we needed. So much was happening so quickly that my husband and I definitely were not prepared for. Carly was the calm level headed voice amongst the confusion.  She asked all the questions my husband and I wanted answers to but were too confused to ask. Carly came to my house at 8 a.m. to help me labor and then helped us pack up when finally it was time to go to the hospital. She followed us to the hospital and stayed the whole time not leaving till the following day at 2:30 a.m. when she was sure my baby, myself, and my husband were all happy and doing well. I can't speak highly enough about Carly and hope to have her there when we grow our family in the future.

Carly was the Birth Doula for our first baby. This was the best decision we made in preparation for labor and delivery. Carly went above and beyond, giving us all the resources and support we asked for and needed prenatally. During my labor, she was just as much a coach for me as she was for my husband. Carly allowed us to feel empowered. She truly was my advocate throughout this process and I strongly believe that our birth experience would not have been as positive without her.  I have every intention of using her again with the birth of future children and would recommend her to all of our friends and family.

Carly attended my 2nd homebirth.

Preparing for the homebirth, Carly was able to come to my home for appts and prep work about what kind of homebirth I wanted. My first was pretty easy at 5 hours of labor to birth, so I expected very much the same. She did clue me in on many techniques and coping mechanisms that I missed with my first. It was comforting know that she had a lot prepared and was able to recommend. I am not much of a music, birthing mantras, etc type of person...of which she respected and moved on from gracefully. Turned out, all I really needed help in the throes of labor was her to help focus my breathing through each contraction. She held my hand, my gaze, and helped me push through the waves of agony. She helped me move from side to side to push baby down more, put a blanket on me when I shivered and removed it from me when it was too much, she helped me hum in low tones, focus my breathing and kept me calm.... eventhough I was fighting it all.

She kept my husband calm during it, so he could take care of his needs as well!

She shared in my husband's and I's joy at the safe arrival of our daughter and was respectful and caring after. She texted me later saying she had an adrenaline rush until noon after attending birth. She said she was so happy to have been there to help welcome our daughter into the world. We did not need much help after birth, but she did bring us a wonderful meal a few days later and helped with a few things.Carly's presence is calming and enjoyable. She would be a wonderful addition to anyones birth. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a doula in the lake country area.
