Our experience with Leah was amazing. I had been on the fence about hiring a doula, as I am basically allergic to "wooyness," but I was worn down by smarter people than me, and we hired Leah fairly last minute.

From the beginning, Leah exuded love, support, and competence. She completely heard and respected my feelings about "wooyness" with good humor. She was extremely available in the days leading up to our birth by text and phone, and was close by to join us at the hospital when needed. We had an outline of a plan that ended up going completely sideways, and she rolled with it like a champ every step of the way. We ended up going to St. Joe's when we'd planned on Rose, had an induction that didn't take, had to deal with surprise preeclampsia and some out of nowhere complications, and an unplanned C-Section.

I consider myself a fairly strong minded person who can advocate for myself, but I'm so grateful we had Leah for exactly that. There were multiple moments where she helped me slow down and ask the right questions questions when I absolutely would not have if she had not been there. She had a great sense of when she needed to step away to let my husband and I talk things over as well. When we went in for the C-section, she stayed with me, allowing my husband to stay close to the baby. I'm so glad she was there, as my blood pressure dropped and I was vomiting during the procedure, and she kept me calm and grounded.

When in recovery, she was incredibly supportive for my husband, who was scared to hold the baby and was still reeling from watching the procedure.

Long story short, I'd recommend Leah and her services. She's wonderful.
