I am incredibly grateful for the support my doula provided during my labor and delivery. From the moment we asked her to come, she was punctual, calm, and fully prepared with everything we needed. Her presence immediately brought a sense of reassurance and confidence into the room.
Throughout labor, she was attentive and intuitive, offering thoughtful suggestions and different positions that truly helped me while pushing. Her guidance made a meaningful difference, both physically and emotionally. In such an intense and vulnerable moment, she felt less like a service provider and more like a trusted family member—someone who genuinely cared and was completely there for me.
I cannot recommend her enough. Her professionalism, knowledge, and compassion made this experience far more positive and empowering than I could have imagined.

Working with Jenica was one of the best decisions we made during my pregnancy and birth. Long before labor began, she was already an incredible source of support. During our prenatal visits, she patiently taught me and my husband Spinning Babies exercises and showed us how to practice them correctly at home. Thanks to her guidance, our baby flipped head-down before delivery — something I am so grateful for!

When labor finally came, everything unfolded quickly and with far more pain and uncertainty than I expected. My epidural wasn’t effective, and the intensity of everything happening at once was overwhelming. Through all of it, Jenica was steady, calm, and deeply present. She helped ground me and provided so many tools to help me cope — including a TENS unit, birthing comb, and pressure ball. She was also crucial in helping me try different positions and gave me confidence and reassurance when the nurse I was assigned was very new and uncertain.

Jenica stayed with us through my entire 19 hours of labor. She talked me through every phase, supported both me and my husband, and never once left us feeling alone. When labor stopped progressing and I developed a fever and the baby’s heart rate began to decelerate — leading to an urgent C-section — she remained a calm, comforting presence. Even as plans shifted and nothing felt predictable, she made sure we felt cared for, informed, and supported.

I truly cannot imagine going through that experience without her. Jenica made an incredibly difficult birth feel manageable, and she supported me from pregnancy all the way through delivery with compassion and expertise. I am endlessly grateful for the way she showed up for our family.

Jenica was our doula for my sons birth in January 2024.
She was so amazing during the the labor and delivery process, as well as helpful to my husband being a first time dad. She was uplifting, encouraging, and also brought along helpful calming music and aromatherapy as tools. (Leaving me as the patient not have to worry about packing all that).

More than anything I valued her knowledgeable opinion on many medical interventions and informed decision making. Things that physicians don't go into detail explaining. Although I'm a health worker by trade, there's still so much that doulas can prepare you for that I was simply unaware of. Her experience and expertise was invaluable! If you are looking for a doula in the San Antonio you are looking at one of the BEST, who not only has hundreds of births under her belt as experience, but will help support you and your babies needs.

Jenica was an absolute dream and vital in our journey to become parents. We started working with her a few months ago to prepare for our first baby's arrival. We took some classes that she was teaching in and had a one on one meeting to set up our birth plan. Tragically our daughter did not make it earthside. Jenica was absolutely vital as we went through the process of welcoming our sleeping baby. Her presence brought me so much peace during labor and delivery. She continued to support me after the fact as well. I cannot recommend her enough and I cannot ever repay her for the services and kindness she gave us during our tragedy.

I met Jenica late into my pregnancy journey and we clicked pretty immediately. It was my first time using a doula service and I honestly wasn't sure what to think at first. She, within the first conversation, gave me more information than I even knew I was looking for. She provided me with options and supported me in my decisions without leaving me feeling judged. During labor we had an extremely negative experience with our hospital and Jenica encouraged us to trust our gut and advised us of our rights. I'm so thankful she did as things could have turned out very differently had she not. She was open, informative and kind. Even when she couldn't be physically present she made herself available to answer any questions I had. I wish I had more babies to come as I'd want her as my doula every time.

Jenica was an angel! My experience with pregnancy was a nightmare and my birthing experience could have been the same but with Jenica I felt seen and supported I a way I didn't realize I needed. She is familiar with the options and the process and is the best advocate you could ask for. She put me at ease and calmed my nerves. She came in with her bag of goodies and set up my room all calm and dim lit and had aromas that calmed me and made me forget I was in the hospital, well beside the contractions... she was amazing and I put all my trust in her and it was so he best decision I made for me and my beautiful heathy baby boy! We love Jenica ??

Jenica has a true passion for her calling as a doula. With the wisdom of having experienced five pregnancies herself and a wealth of knowledge, she was invaluable in helping us create our birth plan and fully understand every aspect of the process. She honored and respected this sacred time in our lives with the reverence it deserves. In a hospital system that often makes pregnancy feel like just another number, Jenica ensured that our journey felt protected, cherished, and deeply personal.

At one point, my husband and I felt like our birth plan wasn’t being respected during an OBGYN appointment, so Jenica accompanied us to advocate for our needs. Her presence gave us the confidence to navigate the system and remain aligned with our vision for this special time.

During my labor, which lasted 38 hours, Jenica was by our side the entire time. She was a pillar of strength and support for me, helping me feel safe and empowered when I reached a point where I thought I couldn’t go on. She gave me the encouragement I needed to push through without medication for as long as I could, which was incredibly meaningful to me.

Not only did she support me, but she also helped my husband be an active participant in the process. When I became too exhausted to make decisions, she supported him as he stepped in to advocate for me with the nurses. Her presence made all the difference for both of us.

Even after delivery, Jenica continued to check in on us, offering support and care that went above and beyond. At this point, we truly feel like she is part of our family—that’s the kind of energy she brings into your life.

If you’re looking for a doula who genuinely cares and is committed to making your pregnancy magical, I cannot recommend Jenica highly enough. Her passion, kindness, and expertise make her an incredible guide through one of life’s most transformative journeys.

Jenica was an amazing support leading up to and during the birth of our daughter! She truly listens to your needs, explains your birth options without bias, and helps you become a better advocate for yourself. What I appreciate most about her services is that she made sure to accommodate my specific needs- everything from asking how I'd like to be supported prenatally and what kind of coaching we would like in the labor and delivery room. Her check ins and encouragement made a world of difference in my first birthing experience!

It was a pleasure to have Jenica as our doula. Right from the beginning, I noticed she is friendly and very easy to get along with. She made sure to spend some time with my husband and I before our baby arrived and got to know us. She also checked in on me frequently and sent resources for any information she found necessary. Shes highly knowledgable and was able to give me guidance when needed. Jenica communicated very well and kept us in her plans, especially as my due date was arriving. When I went into labor, I was texting her throughout the day until I was ready to go to the hospital. Then, as I was telling my husband to text her to come to the hospital, she was already entering the hospital! Jenica is reliable and trustworthy. She's also a great advocate and made sure my husband and I were both taken care of. Another bonus to this wonderful lady is that I was able to have my placenta turned into capsels by her. It made it so convenient to have her there to take it with her. Plus, I trusted her with this! But it doesn't end with the pregnancy and labor support. Jenica came to check in on us in person. She continues to check in and to make sure I have the resources and support I need postpartum. She even came over to help us out when we were having carseat concerns. I'm so happy with were able to share this huge, life-changing experience with her. I felt safe and in good hands the entire time. Thank you Jenica!

To whomever takes their valued time to read this testimony of my heart based feedback for Mrs. Jenica Adams.  My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Jenica a month before birthing our first born.  Up until the moment of us going into labor, we experienced pure care, passion, compassion, authenticity and an unwavering certainty knowing our birth plan would be respected, considered and accomplished into fruition.  We were supported with loving consideration and frequent checkups.   She also joined us for our OBGYN meetings and supported us with suggestions of how to connect and communicate with our OB when we felt our boundaries and birth plans weren't being respected and considered.  During labor, we were comprised with a few external events from our intermediate family that didn't support our birth plan and Jenica rose up and supported me with a healthy and loving way to set that boundary so our birthing experience was as best as it could be.  She stayed up for 24 plus hours making sure our comforts were prioritized and we were reassured when it was difficult to make birth plan alterations in peak pain and stressful moments.  When all was said and done, my Wife and I couldn't of asked for a more Godsent Doula who will forever be a part of our family's history as we raise our first child, a healthy Baby Boy, Micah.   Following up during the post partum chapter, we were respected with space and check ups as well as support at all ours of the day and night.  For anyone ever preparing to have a first time pregnancy. I highly recommend Jenica and the gifts she is blessed with and open to share with the world.  God Bless her and her family.  Thankful for this Woman and not only all she does but who she be.   Thank you for taking the time to read my experience of Mrs. Jenica Adams.

Jenica was amazing and a great help to experience. I actually met her the day before I went into labor! When my water broke she was ready to step into action with no hesitation. She was a also made sure medical staff followed my birth plan and that I fully understood everything they would say. She was helpful in so May different ways I can't list them all but most importantly she never left my side the whole labor and I thank her for that.

My experience with Jenica through San Antonio Birth Doulas was nothing short of exceptional. She was very informative, treated me like family, and was there every step before and after birth. She was so supportive of what I wanted and truly was someone I felt I could trust in my birthing experience. I just want to thank Jenica for being so amazing!My husband and I were extremely happy with her care!! I am so happy we decided to have a doula for this 2nd birth, and even more grateful we got Jenica. Jenica made me feel so comfortable and helped my get through some of the toughest times of my labor pain. She was always so encouraging and was always ready for anything I might need.  She respected my wants and needs and also helped me vocalize my wants and needs with the hospital staff when fear came over me. I couldn’t be happier with her care! Thank you again Jenica you are amazing! You are the definition of what it truly means to care for your patients comfort, needs and wants. I only have wonderful things to say about Jenica. She followed the plan I wanted perfectly and even brought to my attention aspects that I would have missed and not been prepared for if it were not for her. She helped distract me in early labor and was perfectly hands on for transition and active labor. She asked permission for touch and movement options. She knew exactly when to jump in and do what I needed when I was no longer able to speak during contractions. She advocated for me with nurses and doctors. I cannot think of one negative aspect of having her as my doula. I would recommend her to anyone. She’s not only capable but likable. She encouraged me and was the reason I was able to birth naturally like I wanted. When I felt like giving up it was her words and actions that brought me through, allowing me to have an unmedicated birth for my daughter.

I decided to get a doula because I wanted to have an unmedicated birth and knew I’d need a lot of guidance and support. I chose Jenica based on her philosophy, experience and responsiveness.

Just shy of 38 weeks pregnant, I was diagnosed with preeclampsia which meant I needed to be induced right away. I was scared, but I still wanted to try to get through labor without an epidural. It was tough, but Jenica coached me through it and kept me focused on working with my breath, and reminding me that my body could do this. I delivered my baby without any extra interventions and it felt great to accomplish that!

Jenica was so dedicated and attentive throughout the whole process. She was able to communicate effectively with the staff to make sure my plans and wishes were honored for both my labor and with my newborn.

As soon as I get pregnant again she will be one of the first calls I make - we’re excited to have her there for our next birth!

Jenica is simply amazing. I have never met a person who is so calm, patient and understanding. She really makes you feel heard and comfortable. She's  sweet and gentle.  She's very knowledgeable and passionate about this.  She's everything you would want your doula to be. You and your baby will be safe and comfortable in her hands.
