I'm so glad we chose Catrin to join us for our birth.
This was my first baby and my partner and I had no idea how much we both needed her support.
We planned to have a natural birth, but unfortunately this baby had other plans. Ultimately we needed more interventions than I planned on. Catrin was so supportive and knowledgeable throughout the whole birth process.
I felt very calm and confident with every decision we made because I knew we had someone who was advocating for us and our birth plan, and was still able to help us make the best decisions for a safe delivery.

Catrin came to help us at the end of February 2021. I had a scheduled c-section, and I knew I would need help after surgery and with a busy 3-year-old at home. It was a hard time since our families couldn't come to help during the pandemic.
I remember the day Catrin came to our house for the first time. I was in my PJs, very tired and sore, and she came in a happy, strong woman of care and action! She was exactly what I needed! I showed her around the house, and soon she was washing dishes, folding laundry, holding my baby, playing with my little guy, and asking me if she could make me a snack! She worked hard and was so helpful around the house, and my husband was always asking, "When is Cat coming again?" It made a world of difference for us those first few weeks postpartum.
She was also very empathetic and compassionate. I had a very hard time nursing at first, and she kept encouraging me and supporting me through those struggles. Often I just needed someone to listen to me and what I was going through. She never judged and always had words of encouragement. She also gave me some great health tips. She is a registered holistic nutritionist, and I enjoyed talking about my overall health with her. She is very open, and it was refreshing to have honest conversation with a smart and caring woman. She was also really good at answering questions over text and phone. I felt like I could call her any time.
Catrin was also great with my 3-year-old and new baby. She played a lot with my toddler when we started going on little neighbourhood walks. I was so grateful for that because I couldn't run! She was very careful and wore a mask when she held the baby too. I felt like I could talk to her about things if I was feeling uncomfortable, and she was always receptive and willing to adjust. We had a really nice month and a bit together, and I would recommend her to anyone! I’d have her back in a minute if I could :)

We met Catrin the day I went in to labour - she was the back up for my Doula who unfortunately was not able to be with us on time. Even though we hadn't met before, it really didn't matter! Catrin stepped right in and made us feel totally at ease while we were in the hospital. I am a first time mom, so I have nothing to compare it to, but we honestly had a very easy going and relaxing 18 hours while we were together! She answered all of our questions as things came up and helped us to navigate how we wanted the experience to be. It was so helpful to just have someone else there who was experienced, not stressed out and could really offer support to both myself and my husband. I highly recommend Catrin and having a Doula with you for support through your pregnancy, birth and postpartum.

As first time parents with a 4 month old who was waking multiple times throughout the night, every night, we were exhausted. From the moment Catrin came into our home, she made us feel comfortable. She was present during our bedtime routine so our little one could get used to her, and then she stayed with him all night while we were able to get some much needed sleep. Catrin was very accomodating; she respected our preferences and did her best to make us feel confident having her stay with our little one. We knew that he was safe with her.
After Catrin's nights with us, she continued to check in with us to make sure we were doing okay. And when she eventually moved, she provided us with contact information for other local doulas that we could connect with. Overall we had a great experience with Catrin and would definitely recommend her to anyone needing some extra postpartum help with their little ones! Amazing Postpartum Doula!!!

From our first phone conversation, I knew that Catrin would be essential for the remainder of my pregnancy, labor, and post postpartum.
During pregnancy, I could text or call her whenever about whatever and could expect an immediate response. Our prenatal sessions were loaded with useful information ranging from laboring positions to breastfeeding positions and were always fun to boot!
During labor, Catrin came to our hospital room and saved the day. My husband had been my support system for 24 hours at that point and was so relieved to have a break. I was rejuvenated to have Catrin's positive and knowledgeable presence in the room with us. When it came to following or deviating from my birth plan, Catrin was equally supportive and in the end, we all had a great birth experience and left with a beautiful and healthy baby boy.
Postpartum, she dropped off necessary items for the postpartum mom that I could not have lived without! Lastly, our postpartum follow-ups were just what I needed at the time: a friendly and experienced ear to talk to for a strung out and exhausted mom of a 2 week old.
Catrin is the best, my husband and I highly recommend her doula services. You will not be disappointed!

Catrin was such a pleasure to have during my pregnancy! I was interested in having a natural birth and using alternative methods throughout my journey. She was well informed regarding all the different options available to me. Catrin listened to my concerns and desires and provided me with exactly what I needed. She accompanied me to various hospital locations in order for me to choose what was right for my birth. I always felt taken care of and in good hands with her expertise by my side! I was also so happy to receive informational emails from Catrin throughout my pregnancy pertaining to my specific needs. All in all, I am so happy I decided to work with Catrin and have her as my Doula!"
