We knew that welcoming our first baby would bring an enormous number of options and decisions, and hands-down the best decision we made was to work with Cashew. It is hard to put into words just how much, I, as a first time birth-partner, benefited from Cashew’s calm yet fierce presence in our home. They nourished us physically and emotionally, and helped us discern the onslaught of information first-time parents receive. By the end of our time working with Cash, they had helped my wife and I establish rhythms - with our baby and with each other - which would have otherwise seemed impossible. The threshold of welcoming a baby is not like anything else, and Cashew helped us cross it with skill and tenderness that will continue to shape our family for years to come.

Cashew offered us the kind of care we don't know we needed in a time of total life change. Cashew brought nourishing food to me while I stayed in the NICU with my new baby; taught us hands-on practical tips, like how my breast pump worked and how to tie a baby carrier; and they helped my body to heal with womb massage, herbal baths, and tinctures. But more than all of that, Cashew saw me, every time they interacted with me. They saw and heard beyond my "I'm fine" and named my experience for me when I lacked the language or compassion for myself. I truly felt like I was able to be more present with my baby and gentler with myself because of Cashew. Hiring them was the best decision we made in preparing for our baby's arrival!

I can't imagine the birth journey without Cashew. Cash has a rare combination of a calming presence and a confident clarity, both of which are critical in a situation with so many moving pieces. I was grateful to have Cash as a part of the birth team because of how attentive and attuned they are--filling in the gaps around each other felt seamless. I was grateful to have Cash as a teacher, because my experience as a birth partner was marked by presence and usefulness, but I am not sure I would have known how to be present and useful if I hadn't learned so much from Cash. Respect and consent seem to come so naturally to them and our needs always felt prioritized. I would highly recommend Cashew as a doula.

PS the photos we got were SO worth the money. Absolutely incredible photography. And now if our daughter ever asks whether she was adopted, we have an album of photographic evidence that she most certainly was not. :D

Through my experience with Cashew, I appreciate her work a lot, as she takes great care of her clients, cares for them, and gives them a lot of time. In addition to all this, she gives moral motivation and supports everyone. If I say thank you a thousand times, it is not enough. Thank you very much, for everything??love you Cashew??

Hiring Cash as a sibling doula was one of the best decisions we could've made! They were an integral part of our birth team, especially given that we have no family in the state. Our two toddlers immediately took to Cash from the moment our first prenatal meet & greet started, constantly asked when they would be back, and were beyond excited when I went into labor and Cash arrived. 

I felt so relaxed and at peace while in labor knowing that my daughters were downstairs in the playroom being well taken care of and having fun. Cash skillfully balanced keeping both girls entertained yet involved in my labor, and helped keep our super excited one year old at bay when baby was born. Having Cash as a sibling doula was an invaluable investment for our family that we would make over and over again!

I had a great experience with Cash and highly recommend them for caring and thoughtful doula services. I hired them to help with the birth of my first child at a birth center. They are warm and easy to talk to. We had a couple of prenatal visits where they were happy to discuss all of my and my partner's questions and concerns. They also have a variety of helpful tools for pain management during labor. My baby ended up coming a bit earlier than expected so we missed one prenatal visit, however they made up for it with an extra postpartum visit. They were easily accessible over text when I wasn't sure whether I was going into labor or not. During labor, they did a great job of directing and delegating tasks to my support team (partner and mom) and created a beautiful calm space in the birth room with lighting and music. I was able to have the unmedicated, low intervention birth that I hoped for, and I felt very supported by Cash and their guidance. Before hiring Cash, I was not sure if I wanted to get a doula, but after working with them I am so glad that I did. If I have another child I will definitely work with Cash again!

Working with Cashew was wonderful and made my birthing experience everything I had hoped for.

We were introduced to Cashew by our original doula, who got sick the week we were due with our first child. Cashew made herself available very quickly for a Zoom meeting and rapidly got up to speed on our birth plan. Her warm demeanor made us feel at ease despite the stressful circumstances. 

Later that same day, I went into labor. Cashew regularly checked in and we collectively decided how and when she could best support us during labor. When she arrived at the hospital, she was very well prepared. She had tools and props that helped set the scene and allowed my partner to actively engage and support at each stage of the delivery (dim lights, a fan and a speaker, a sign that I have to this day, etc). Her kind, soothing and supportive style was perfectly matched with what we needed - she knew exactly what I needed to hear and when. She also knew how and when to interact with hospital staff to ensure that I had full awareness of decisions being made and why.

We highly recommend Cashew and believe that she was a big reason why our birthing experience was so healthy and smooth. We are incredibly grateful for the unexpected series of events that brought us together!

Cashew supported the decisions I made throughout pregnancy and birth and helped me advocate these to my midwifery team. Cashew regularly checked in with me to see how I was feeling and if I needed any extra support. She helped connect me to a pelvic floor physical therapist, a photographer, and other resources for handling pregnancy aches and pains. Cash always spoke with positivity and confidence. I could tell that she had confidence in me and trusted the birthing process. She took lots of pictures and was very helpful during the first postpartum hours with breastfeeding support, newborn support, and clean up. She was there to help with anything I needed and supported my healing and feeding postpartum. Cashew was always available when I needed support during the early postpartum weeks. She made me feel special by bringing me flowers, lactation snacks, affirmations, self care items, and printed out photos from my birth. Cash always had such a positive energy, was very supportive, empathetic, and never judgmental. She went above and beyond as a doula make me feel supported through my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Having a doula offered us extra support and more flexibility for my partner to more present during the birth and early postpartum hours. Cashew always goes above and beyond to make you feel supported and care for. I am very happy I hired a doula and will hire Cashew for my next birth.

My ultimate birth goal was to be able to have a natural unmedicated labor while bringing earth bound a healthy baby. I achieved this by mentally and physically using the different techniques that cashew showed me. Cash reminded me how magnificently strong my body is, how I should trust myself more with how im feeling and reminded me that we are all so strong and made for everything we go through during labor. As a first time mother I felt lost at times and wondered how I was going to make it through, but she offered me guidance and made me feel like I knew what i was doing. When the time came, I was empowered by the strength I know we all carry. cashew made me feel connected to all the women that had birthed before me and reminded me that the strength of my ancestors was within me. I remember how comfortable I felt, you can feel the loving energy radiating from within Cash. It brought me  peace of mind which in turn allowed me to be vulnerable and open up about my fears and desires for birth and my mothering journey. Cash listened to me and remembered details about my birth plan, things like music, massage and communication during my labor all while making me feel in control. talking me through my contractions with supportive words and gentle touch. I also loved that she helped make my partner feel included while showing him different ways to offer me more support. She never left my side and continued to offer me her support postpartum. Cash made me feel seen where our world now revolves around baby. Reminding me that I also deserve support and continued guidance in my new world. l felt blessed to have been able to have someone by my side who supported and empowered me. As a first time mother there was a lot, I didn't know but she always encouraged me and never made me feel as if I didn't already have the answers within me, through continuous encouragement and self-worth she helped guide and remind me of my own strength and knowledge.

I don't have the words to express how grateful I am for Cash. At the start of my pregnancy, I wasn't sure if I really wanted/needed a doula, but I'm so glad I took that route and was connected with Cash. She has been so supportive, informative, and kind throughout my journey. In preparing for my labor and delivery, Cash made sure I knew what all my options were and was incredibly patient and thorough in demonstrating and explaining everything. As a doula, she comes with a whole luggage bag of tools and comfort items, which she brought with her to the hospital. She was encouraging, calm, and reassuring the entire time I was in labor and kept reminding me of my own strength. She took the initiative to put up lights and scents to help me relax, and suggest various comfort measures for me whenever she noticed I needed it. It was not just me she cared for; she constantly checked in on my partner too. It is this support and thoughtfulness that really made my labor as smooth as possible, even enjoyable at times, and I look back on that whole process with gratitude and awe. During my postpartum period, Cash's visits were always full of love and care. She held space for all my emotions and had a lot of helpful tips for coping with the fourth trimester. I loved having her meet and hold my baby, knowing what a special role she played in our lives. Cash is such a treasure and I know so many women would benefit from having a doula like her.

Wow. Cash joined us late in our 2nd twin pregnancy. I had already birthed 4 babies at home, and also had twins via cesarean many years ago, (scheduled due to breech presentations).

Im remarried and my husband and I really had hopes for a gentle vaginal birth in hospital of our twins & we were pleasantly surprised to find Cash!

When Cash met us at our hospital birth center she brought an arsenal and transformed it into what only can be described as "a homebirth room"... she knew I was most comfortable in a home environment & she really helped facilitate this with special touches, "candles" and by being a quiet example for my husband and the hospital staff to follow. Once she arrived my labor really sped up & we are so thankful she was there to be a buffer from the chaos that can be present at the hospital.

Cash really cared about our experience and helped to make it a special for me as the Mama, even though her role for us was technically to support my husband (since he is one of those quesy types).

thankfully with her health my husband was fully present emotionally and physically… For our labor and our birth of our two babies who were born unintentionally in the labor and delivery room… Because our labor went so smoothly and quickly that we didn't have the time to transfer into the operating room… Which is where twins are typically expected to be born ! 

we honestly couldn't have asked for a more supportive birth experience for our two little babies… And cashes postpartum follow up care and check inns were incredibly caring!

I could write an whole book about how wonderful,kind and lovely she is! To start out she was awesome at communicating with me when I was getting induce until I needed her to be with me at the hospital, she came right away when I asked her too, she is by far the best, anytime I needed help with telling the drs something she helped me speak up and tell them this is how I wanted it and didn't let them push me into doing anything I didn't want too, she stood with me all night while I was in labor, and she helped me so much with breathing, and making sure I was breathing when it came time to needing to push she told me everything going to be okay, and helped me through everything, when I was in the tub she was standing right next to me pouring water on me, making sure I was okay when it came time to get out she helped me she is just so lovely I couldn't express how grateful and helpful and wonderful she is and I will always be greatful for everything she need for me. She doesn't even understand how much courage she gave me to stand up for everything I needed! I love her and will always be grateful to have her! She is the best! And just know you are picking the best out of the best for an doula!

Cashew is a gentle soul who wonderfully supported me through late pregnancy all the way through my postpartum days. Cash has genuinely become a part of my small little family in a way. I never even knew what a doula was before I met her. But once I got into the program that set me up with her, I can definitely say that I know I wouldn't have made it through my birth without her. My birth was really scary for me with it being my first and also having things come up that I never even thought to think about. But with her there, she talked me through everything and stood by my side through the entire thing. I probably wouldn't even have gotten to see my baby right when I gave birth because as soon as I heard her cry and knew she was okay, I passed out. I woke a few seconds or minutes later, looked over, and saw my little baby bundled up with her face right next to mine. And that was because cash was holding her up right next to me. After my birth cash continued to work with me. I was lucky enough to able to get her as my post partum doula. She has been such an enormous help to me and my baby. I am a single mother with no real support. But that was able to change with her because she became such a strong support in my life. I truly don't know where I would be without her always being willing to answer all of my questions I have and make me cry out laughing until my face hurt every time I was with her. I love that woman and her beautiful family and so does my baby girl. Thank you so much cash. You really mean a lot to us.????

The instant I met Cash I knew somehow she would be someone I'd know for a long time. She felt like kin, right away. Building a relationship with her was as easy as breathing-- she is kind, down to earth, honest, funny, and devoted to doing good work. 

When I found out I was pregnant with my second child while my first was just 8 months old, Cash was one of the first people I called. She listened to me, validated how hard it was, and gave me space to explore my options. When it came time to choose someone to be with my older child, I knew Cash would be the perfect fit. 

Although my labor was so fast my toddler ended up being there during the birth, Cash still came out the next day and attended to him while my partner and I got to bond with our new one. The love she showed us is a big part of our strong foundation as a family. 

I would recommend Cash to anyone seeking a birth, postpartum or sibling doula who will meet you where you're at, and surround you in love.

I chose Cashew because I almost immediately felt loved and supported by her when we talked on the phone. I remember being hesitant to add another person to my birthing team, but her presence, even virtually, was so peaceful that I was excited to add her to my team.

I started my pregnancy with the desire to give birth in a birthing center. Complications of my pregnancy made this not safe for my son or me, and ultimately I needed a C-section. This was not for lack of trying. I started having contractions at 32 weeks. Every four minutes until he was delivered on week 39. To say that Cashew was a support system for me is an understatement. She helped ground me by being a person I could reach out to during a challenging time. She instilled in me my inner stress and the knowledge I had for my body.

There were many difficult decisions in my pregnancy. Many of them I did not want to make. Cashew was a solid rock that I used to help process these choices. She gave me complete autonomy in my choices but constantly challenged me to follow the status quo of my providers. My intentions were always honored. I was empowered every minute of my pregnancy.

When I decided to move forward with a planned C-section, Cashew not only honored my decision but celebrated it. She even met up with my husband and me to take pictures before the surgery. After surgery, she decorated the room with lights and a note to my son that said, "Orion, your mama is a badass."

Cashew supported me as an autonomous, intelligent human. She gave me power when I felt weak. I think back on my time with Cashew as beautiful. She supported my pregnancy in innumerable and immeasurable ways. I cannot thank her enough for the support she gave my family and the ways she empowered me to step into the woman I am today. She left a beautiful mark on my life, and I have no doubts she will only add to yours.

Cash is the most amazing doula I could have asked for. She was present and available from the beginning. Anytime I had a questions she was always available to talk and answer my questions or concerns. With regards to giving birth, I can't imagine doing it without her. She treated me like a Queen, and helped me throughout the entire process. It was also amazing having her after giving birth. She helped me out a lot with lactation support, along with my overall mental and physical health. Cash is the kindest person I've ever met, and I can't imagine ever having anyone else as my birthing friend/partner/doula.

I met Cash through a doula I found on this site and fell in love with her personality as soon as we met! I was hoping to achieve a VBAC and I knew I wanted a doula to help me reach my goal. I fell in love with Cash's personality. She is the kindest, most gentle and sweet, loving person. She cares deeply about birth work and other people, and goes above and beyond for her clients. I have anxiety and ended up in the hospital being induced. As soon as Cash arrived my anxiety calmed tremendously. She empowered me to speak up for myself and my wishes and created a peaceful, safe environment in our room. She brought everything you could possibly think of to help with labor and delivery and held

my hand and was with me every step of the way. She did the miles circuit with me and grounded me during painful contractions, and she was our photographer when our son was born! She also was there bringing me food and being a listening ear a couple days postpartum when I was having a hard time! I truly don't think I could have made it through my journey and had a successful VBAC were it not for Cash's wonderful guidance, love, and empowerment. She has become an amazing friend that I admire deeply!
