Client Testimonials for Erica Rocha

Post a testimonial for Erica Rocha

I had been trying to interview a few doulas early on in my pregnancy and I was at my wits end with cancelled appointments or never being contacted back in the first place. I was about to forgo even having a doula because of the stress of it all. I ended up crying to my husband about it and he contacted a friend who in turn referred us to Erica. To my relief, we were able to quickly set up a virtual meeting with her and whatever fear or stress I had been feeling before washed away. She was so sweet, honest, and open to any ideas that would makes us feel comfortable. She let us know she too was pregnant, was a mom of 2 and was completely capable of being there for us because of her husband and family’s support at home. Interestingly, we also found out we both had the same midwives! During our conversation, I literally thought to myself how "meant to be" the whole situation was in finding her. In all honesty I hadn’t really known what I was looking for in a doula, all I knew was that I am a total push over and this being my first pregnancy I figured I would need someone sweet but firm. And of course, I was thinking of how my husband would need someone to help him find other ways to help me during the labor process. After we said our goodbyes, my husband and I looked at each other and were immediately in agreement to have her as our doula. Erica is very easy going, dependable, sweet, very conscious of your well-being, and open to whatever you need. She was this way during and after her own pregnancy! Which to me makes her a super woman haha. During our in-person meetings she physically demonstrated some techniques we could use during labor as well as other options to relieve pain which came in handy the day of.  She showed up, just a few weeks postpartum herself, to the birth center and physically helped me for the remaining 7 hours of my labor! My husband and I could not have brought our baby boy into this world without her loving presence!
