We were lucky enough to have Carla's help for five nights a week for the first eight weeks of our son's life. We didn't have any help (day or night) with our firstborn, so we weren't quite sure what to expect--let me just say it was absolutely life-changing having Carla here to help. I had pretty bad postpartum anxiety the first time around, and I truly credit Carla and all the rest I was able to get this time thanks to her with the fact that I didn't go through it again this time. Carla was never once even a minute late; if anything she was consistently early showing up to our house. She was open and very supportive of all our choices as parents--we use the Snoo, we give him formula occasionally, bottles sometimes that she would give him so I could sleep an extra few hours, etc.--and having that warm, nonjudgmental presence around when you are emotionally delicate from postpartum hormones is incredible. She exudes extremely calm, capable energy. She was also great with our very shy, nervous rescue dog (who never once barked at her when she brought our son into our bedroom in the middle of the night so I could breastfeed--a miracle!) Throughout the night, whenever she brought our son to breastfeed, she would check to make sure I had enough water, if I needed pain medication, etc. Every morning, we woke up to a cleaner house with bottles washed and put away. Carla would also text us a log of how the night went-when he woke up, if she needed to settle him at any point, if he was gassy, when he ate, how many diapers she changed, etc. Having that data in the morning was so helpful! We were very sorry to say goodbye to Carla, even though our son was pretty much sleeping through the night by the end. If you are considering hiring her as your night doula, do it--it will be the BEST decision you make!

Carla was excellent with our newborn baby. She started with us soon after we brought the baby home and stayed for 8 weeks - caring for the baby through the night. She was patient and quite knowledgeable about newborn care. Additionally, she paid attention to how we wanted the baby to be cared for and implemented the requests well. She was on time and professional and helped with things around the house as well.

Carla stepped in to help us with our twins when we realized we needed more nighttime support. She is a reliable and calming presence during crazy baby times. She always showed up early and is extremely organized. She arranged and labeled the contents of the babies' dresser to make things easier to find. We knew when we'd wake up the house would be neat and tidy and the babies would be well rested. Carla genuinely cared about and enjoyed spending time with the babies. She set them up for future success by starting them with good sleeping habits early. Carla is great- highly recommend for new parents!

Carla was an excellent day doula for our baby boy (and us parents!). We worked with Carla over the course of three weeks when our baby was between 5 and 7 weeks. Our main issue was getting him to fall asleep during the day (ironically he was and is a better night sleeper) - he would take hours to get down during the day unless he was in a baby carrier. Carla's main focus is good sleep for babies so she was just the right person. We did 6 hour sessions with Carla (10am-4pm and 2pm-8pm depending on the day). She would soothe the baby to sleep and put him down for multiple naps, helping him develop good associations with horizontal sleeping for the long term. She tried out and taught us various techniques that we still use and was generally a wealth of knowledge and reassurance for first time parents. She also happily changed the baby, fed him a few bottles and was wonderfully soft and caring with him. In addition to all that, Carla was *extremely* helpful around the house - laundry, dishes, pump & bottle cleaning, anything we needed. It enabled us to take a few naps, take care of errands and phone calls, and just relax for a bit. Carla is kind and was very respectful of our preferences and home. Couldn't be happier to recommend her.

I was blessed of being matched with Carla. After a difficult labor/postpartum experience, hiring Carla was absolutely essential for this new part of our lifes having a new born at home.Carla took care of EVERYTHING.She fed and soothed the baby, she did laundry, she cooked, we learned so much with all the tips that she gave us. I was so sad when Carla’s time was over with us, she was incredible and I’m forever thankful for having her in our house and in our family.
