Bethany was an amazing doula and asset to our birthing experience. She was calm, comforting and listened well from the very first meeting. Bethany helped to clarify options along the way and reinforced things that we learned in birthing class so I didn’t have to remember it in the moment. She arrived at the hospital at just the right time and photo documented the birth so I could piece it all together afterwards with time stamps. She was incredibly supportive to me and my husband and worked well with the medical team. I highly recommend Bethany and only wish I lived closer so I could take advantage of the other things she has to offer through Bethany Kate Wellness!

Hiring Bethany as your birth doula will be the best decision you can make as you plan your birth experience. I interviewed several other doulas and was in email contact with several more. Upon meeting Bethany for coffee/ tea to see if it was a good fit, I knew within 20 minutes I wanted her supporting me at the birth of my daughter. Bethany is incredibly brilliant, articulate, and professional, yet still humble and personable. She’s witty and humorous which can lighten the mood. She also knows when serious decisions need to be made and advocates for her clients. I felt so strong being supported by her. She was very readily available to me throughout my 65 hour labor, 2 hour caesarean and even the recovery afterwards. The medical team briefly allowed her into my recovery area; they knew she was such an integral part of the process and my healing. Soon after the birth she visited and we processed the entire experience - that felt like therapy. She never gave unsolicited advice and was never pushy. But when asked, she could answer any question with responses rooted in research. I should note that I purchased her Self Care Package with the massages. Her pre and post natal massages were just what my body and soul needed. I can confidently say Bethany would be a very good fit for many expecting parents. Do reach out to her early in your pregnancy as her calendar fills up quickly. Best of luck!

Bethany was an integral part of my pregnancy and birth. Wile preparing for birth, it was so important for my husband and I to have her as our birth educator and advocate. She was extremely knowledgeable about all steps of labor and birth, explained all of our options thoroughly, and answered all of our questions. She made recommendations on which hospital and practice I should switch to that would meet my needs. I am so glad that she was present or my labor and delivery, keeping me calm and using strategies, giving my husband guidance and switching off with him during the physical moments, helping us talk through decisions we needed to make, and being another familiar and comforting presence in the room.
I took weekly prenatal yoga classes with Bethany on top of her doula services. I HIGHLY recommend pregnant mommas attend her class. They kept me active and grounded during the pregnancy, and I used many of the tools she taught in class during labor and delivery.
You cannot put a price on the value of Bethany and her services during pregnancy and birth. I highly recommend her to all expecting families as she is knowledgeable, comforting, and an amazing energy.
