I’m a first time mom who wanted to have an all-natural, unmedicated, in-hospital birth. I knew the best way to ensure this would be having a quality doula with me. Two of my coworkers had used Chelsea and told me “she is worth her weight in gold.” And guess what? She is worth her weight in gold. She is warm and kind but also honest and pragmatic. I got instant and nonjudgmental responses to all of my questions and she checked in regularly. She referred me to the pelvic floor therapist I used and the placenta encapsulator. When I had issues with my OB, she made a late transfer at 39 weeks possible by empowering me to make that stressful-but-right choice and by connecting me with one of their most trusted OBs. I’m so glad I made the switch of OB doctors, too, because I think it really positively impacted my birth experience. On gameday, Chelsea was prompt and prepared and patient. She was the physical support and master of comfort measures that I needed. She was frequently assessing baby’s position and guiding me through the postures I needed to be in to help baby descend perfectly and to relieve my discomfort. She did a great job of involving and engaging my husband, too, allowing him to shine as birth partner. In the end, I got my perfect, dream birth and everything went according to plan. I truly believe that Chelsea played a huge part in this, would not have been possible without her.

Working with Chelsea was so incredibly helpful. She was very knowledgeable and available for any questions or referrals I needed help with throughout my pregnancy. When medical issues arose, she was quick to respond with advice and encouragement. She made sure I was prepared for various situations based on my circumstances. Even though my birth didn't go the way I envisioned for health reasons, Chelsea was able to help guide me through the process for the best case outcome. Thanks to her support and guidance, I'm able to say I have no regrets about my birth experience and feel that I was able to maintain autonomy in decision-making given the situation.

We are so grateful for Chelsea!! We really connected based on our shared experiences and I quickly felt very comfortable with her. She provided so much guidance and support as we came up with our birth plan. She really listened to our values and preferences, and helped us make the decisions that were right for us. I felt really empowered by the knowledge she provided around epidurals, induction, and the birth stages. As first-time parents, we were so thankful at Chelsea's patience and quick responses to our texts and calls with (many!) questions. She was a steadfast and protective presence at the birth, and made my husband and I feel so supported. Her follow-up check-ins via phone, text, and in-person were so helpful, and she truly cared about my and my family's wellbeing. I would strongly recommend Chelsea to anyone looking for a birth doula!

Chelsea made my second birth experience so positive and comfortable, even despite my body not quite cooperating with my wishes for my birth experience. She was supportive throughout all of my pregnancy, always available to chat or answer questions, she visited us in person more than once and was so considerate and thorough at every visit. She is down to earth, relatable, and a calm presence for the big day. She helped my husband to support me through hours of contractions and helped me make peace with ultimately deciding to use an epidural. After giving birth, when my breastmilk wasn't as plentiful as I hoped, Chelsea hooked me up with an awesome IBCLC super quickly and she continues to support me through postpartum decisions. I highly recommend hiring Chelsea for your next birth experience.

I truly believe Chelsea is single-handedly the reason I had a smooth birth experience. It was my first pregnancy and she was so helpful without ever being judgmental to our wealth of questions. She was an amazing guide and showed me what I should and shouldn't look out for while giving birth without being polarizing in any way. When my delivery day came, she was a calming force whose presence brought me assurance and relief. Throughout my pregnancy and PP, she continued to remind me to make sure I was looking out for me. I highly recommend working with Chelsea, especially if you're a first time mom.

We had an amazing experience with Chelsea! She is very knowledgeable and that was so comforting. I had a very difficult delivery and Chelsea was there every step of the way. She was so patient and calming and answered all my questions. She went above and beyond to make sure I was okay and comfortable. I would highly recommend Chelsea to anyone looking for a doula!

Chelsea was amazing! During our prenatal discussions she helped me get past some of the disappointments from my previous labor and birth and gave me the confidence to listen to my intuition and advocate for myself this time around. We live 45 minutes from Denton, out in the middle of nowhere but she was always willing to meet at our home. My first contraction was about 8pm but I was still getting some sleep. I contacted Chelsea at 1am so we could evaluate if it was the beginning of true labor. At my request I continued to stay mostly comfortable contracting through the night alone and she arrived at 8am that morning. She helped me labor at home until 1pm when we headed to the hospital. She was there to talk with me and encourage me as things moved along slowly. I had my son at 11:30pm and Chelsea stayed with us until everything was calm and we were snuggled up relaxing. My biggest goal for this baby was to stay present in decision making throughout my labor and hopefully have a VBAC. We were able to accomplish this and more. To me, having someone who is not only supportive but educated through all aspects of your pregnancy, labor and birth is essential. For my husband especially it took a lot of the stress away from the technical aspects so he could be more emotionally present and supportive in ways that I needed. Chelsea was the perfect choice for us!

Chelsea was the perfect addition to our pregnancy and birthing journey. From our first meeting, she provided us with peace that we carried through to the 4th trimester and beyond - no matter the question we asked, she provided advice and options; when inevitable moments of panic hit during labor/birth, she provided laughs and reason. We were so thankful for her collaboration with the hospital team which greatly contributed to such a smooth birth. She was professional yet part of the family, and we couldn't be more thankful for her part in bringing our sweet babe earthside!

Chelsea is an excellent doula. She helped me prepare to give birth, and was calm, supportive, and knowledgeable when helping me through labor. Chelsea also helped me reflect on the experience of giving birth and process my thoughts and feelings about it afterward. I highly recommend hiring Chelsea.

We loved working with Chelsea before, during, and after the birth of our son! We really leaned on her knowledge in preparation of the birth. She never pressured us to make any particular decision, she just told us what we needed to research and helped us make a birth plan. She suggested I do some research on mindful birthing techniques and I'm so glad I did. It helped so much day of. She was a wonderful asset at the hospital. She has a very calming presence. Although I was the one who really wanted a doula, my husband told me several times afterwards that he was so glad she was there. We also had some follow-up meetings with her and she was a wonderful resource then too. It was nice having someone check in with us weeks after the birth when we were still getting adjusted and needed advice. Thank you Chelsea!!

Chelsea coached me through the birth of my daughter and the first few weeks postpartum. I honestly don't know what I would've done without her. Birth, as a first-time-mom can be scary - even when you've taken the classes and read the books.Chelsea was awesome at checking in, answered every question I had, and asked the ones I didn't know to ask. She challenged me to learn more about everything I might experience in a hospital birth from labor to postpartum. Though scary, I felt supported through it all.Probably the most important thing Chelsea did for me was, after my daughter was born, encourage me to seek out a wonderful lactation consultant to help me establish breastfeeding and troubleshoot issues I was having breastfeeding, with my pelvic floor, and the postpartum anxiety and depression I experienced. All the research I did prior to seeking out a birth Doula said that it would be helpful, but Chelsea was so much more than just helpful, she was an absolute gift that I didn't know I'd need so much. If we decide to continue to grow our family, I couldn't think about doing it without Chelsea on my labor and postpartum care team.
