Having Mrs. Rebecca Skillman as my doula was one of the best decisions of my life! She made sure  the doctors carried out my birth plan and that made me feel like I'm truly in control of my natural birth. Everything went by smooth and fast because of her! I would STRONGLY recommend her to anyone that's pregnant because she's very helpful and so polite and keep everything organized always staying prepared at all times! Rebecca Skillman is a wonderful and amazing supporter! I went from 3 centimeters to 10 centimeters within 4 hours and I was ready to push because of her help! I would most definitely be looking for her again whenever I decide to have another baby.

Rebecca was truly an AMAZING doula who helped me before, during, and after my birth. I had all intentions of having an unmedicated birth, but changed when my husband was deployed and was only back for a short time. She helped advocate for me when I needed it, and provided different positions/support that helped me through my contractions. If I'm ever back in the New Bern area again, I would love her support during another birth!

My experience with Rebecca was amazing. I am a now 22 year old first time mom and my experience with her taught me a lot. I always encourage people who are on the their first, second, third or even more child to get a doula. Due to my experience with my health staff I feel like if I wasn't educated with what Rebecca taught me then I would have gave in to a lot of things they said. Rebecca taught me how to stand up for myself and how to not be afraid to voice my opinions when it comes to my child and my body. I am very grateful for her and how she educated me to have a smooth and successful delivery with a healthy child and I recommend everyone and also to myself that if I ever have any more kids, I would want her to be my doula again!!!

Rebecca was amazing! She make sure our daughter was comfortable with her prior to the birth of our youngest.She also dropped everything instantly as I didn’t realize how far along in labor I was. She even helped us pack our car up and made sure we were comfortable and all set before leaving for the night!

I really enjoyed working with Rebecca. She became like part of the family which in this intimate situation is really important. My husband couldn't attend our sons birth so she stood in and did amazing. She's compassionate and knowledgeable. She went through something traumatic with me because my birth wasn't typical by any means. I'm greatful for her for sure 10 stars

I don't know what I would have done without Rebecca for my home birth! She has so much knowledge that made me feel comfortable in her expertise. She had a bag of tools for pain management. That was my biggest concern for birth. She arrived promptly after I called saying it's time soon. Her presence overall was soothing. For every contraction she applied counter pressure with a heating pad while also squeezing my sides. That's really what got me through. I highly recommend her!

I absolutely loved having rebecca as my doula! She was so helpful and gave me many tips that improved my birth experience. I was so nervous at first when figuring out where to start to make my labor as easy as possible. She gave me reassurance and great ideas to help my labor go smoothly as possible!

Rebecca attended my recent birth on 5/7/22 and the support she provided was absolutely amazing! We found her pretty late into my pregnancy and though we didn’t have many weeks left she made sure to meet with us to show us the tools she had available and teach us some  pain management techniques that we could practice. She listened carefully to our birth preferences and leant us some books that were very helpful in developing a birth plan and preparing for an unmedicated hospital birth. I was planning a VBAC which Rebecca was very supportive of and she was eager to help advocate for my wishes in the hospital as needed. In the weeks leading up to birth she sent over other helpful resources and helped me craft my birth plan. I ended up having a somewhat long/weird labor- it was ~48 hours from first contractions to birth - and Rebecca stayed in contact with me the whole time, coaching me, helping keep my motivation up, and reassuring me that it was all normal. When my labor picked up suddenly she joined us as soon as we asked her to. In the hospital she was very responsive to my needs, providing different pain relief/comfort measures, coaching my husband, and advocating for our wishes/guiding us through medical decisions. When I ended up having a lengthy and painful tear repair she stayed to help me through that and made sure we were all settled into our room in the mother-baby unit before leaving. She has also checked up on me multiple times since the birth to see how everything is going.

My labor and birth went about as smoothly as I could have hoped for and I feel like Rebecca played a big role in ensuring that happened. It’s not necessarily easy planning a VBAC and I really feel like having her on my birth team was hugely beneficial in successfully achieving that goal. I’m forever grateful for the support she provided before, during, and after birth. She was truly awesome and such an important member of my birth team!!

Hello I just gave birth 03.20.2022 my 2nd full term birth it was another Supernatural delivery pain-free another phenomenal experience praise the Lord. My husband and I decided on a homebirth this time after praying to the Lord for His will we researched a midwife or doula to accommodate our needs as a family of faith to experience the birth God designed women to have I took a leap of faith on an NC homebirth FB Group posting for help in our area and this servant was the only one to respond to our Christian values in childbearing. We highly recommend any mother to book Rebecca of Bearing Precious Seed Birthkeeping. She's understanding, patient, caring, genuine, consistent, active listener, devoted to the needs of the family, personable, reliable, professional and thoroughly knowledgeable about all aspects of delivery. Rebecca answered all of our questions and would provide helpful research, informative videos and was open to how we want each phase of laboring to go especially a prior fast labor with our firstborn it was phenomenal she had an actual homebirth herself to comfort me and understand my peace of mind for minimal pregnancy checkups and ultrasounds at the doctor's. We were prepared for the birth with all necessary supplies recommended by Rebecca and the peace of God each phone conversation, text, email or meeting was reassurance we chose the right birthkeeper for this type of childbirth. I believe any first time mom can benefit from her educational background, hands on approach and blessed experience. Our delivery was smooth, super healthy, unmedicated home birth.
