My wife knew early in our pregnancy that she wanted a doula. It was our first child, and there were more unknowns and variables than either of us knew how to cope with. We were very anxious and wanted as much informed, knowledgable support as possible. But we're also introverted, sensitive people, so it was hard to imagine meeting anyone we'd actually want to have in the room with us while my wife endured this most excruciating and intimate of events.

However, we knew within minutes of meeting Jessica that we wanted her to be our doula. Our meeting took place over Zoom, but she was still able somehow to broadcast her calming presence to us. She said several things in that first meeting that put us at ease, and this tendency continued through the entire pregnancy, beyond labor.

Jessica's philosophy is grounded in a desire to empower the women she works with, to make sure they get what they want in the face of a hospital team or set of circumstances that may not understand or prioritize that, which is perhaps why her efforts to bring peace and calm, and to help you have the best and most joyous possible birth experience, are so successful. I can't emphasize enough how important it was--I'm tempted to call it transformational. Of course being a parent transforms you no matter what, but Jessica helped ensure the transformation was beautiful.

With Jessica's help and guidance, my wife was able to have the unmedicated birth she had envisioned and hoped for. My wife deserves 100% of the credit for doing the excruciating work of the labor itself, but Jessica deserves credit for helping my wife find the strength to do it.

Having Jessica as our doula for my birth was such a great experience. I had a long early labor and throughout it all she was encouraging, helpful, and so nice. She was there throughout my labor with a helpful tip for my husband, a drink of water or snack, and kind words to get me through. I moved to the area only a month before giving birth so we didn't have a ton of time pre-birth to get to know each other, but I still felt so comfortable around her (which is so important during birth!)

I loved working with Jessica! I ended up switching to midwives and getting a doula in my third trimester, which felt late in my pregnancy. It worked out perfectly and Jessica was super helpful throughout the last 10 or so weeks. When I called her to let her know I was having contractions she was super helpful in the next steps leading up to going to the hospital. She helped me so much to get the birth I wanted in those final moments. Without her, I probably would not have been able to go all natural. I absolutely loved having Jessica on my support team! I recommend adding her to your team! She's kind, knowledgeable and really puts in the time to get to know you and the birth you want.

Jessica’s calming nature and patience makes her a wonderful doula. She is natural and I would recommend her to anyone who is expecting. Navigating birth alone in a hospital had the potential to be very dooming but she helped prepare me and stayed by my side through the birth of my daughter. 

My husband and I had our first child on October 31, 2021. We hired Jessica pretty early on into my pregnancy and after our first phone, she was a breath of fresh air. There is so much doctors don’t cover in your checkups and the internet is SO noisy. Jessica helped me focus on what’s to be expected so I had all the tools I needed to mentally and physically prepare. Flash forward to the night my contractions started, she calmingly encouraged us to go ahead and pack the car now so that when contractions got closer together we would be ready to go. BEST advice. That may seem small or insignificant, but it was little tips like this that made HUGE impacts on the success of our daughter being born. She literally held my hand and helped deliver our baby. There is no one else (other than my husband of course) that I would want by my side. We love Jessica even more now and she is forever a part of our family. Thank you x1000000!!
