Postpartum Rate: $35 to $45

Fee Details: Over the past 24 years, I’ve had the honor of helping to launch and grow the doula movement in the Boston area, and throughout the US and Canada. For seven years starting in 1995, I was Assistant Director of ALACE (now to Labor), the first national training program for doulas. During my tenure I was the organizer of trainings that resulted in the creation of approximately two thousand doulas. In 2009 I published “The Doula Guide to Birth” with Bantam Books/Random House, which can be found in our local library system or requested at any bookstore. I am currently passionate about the national conversation regarding consent in people’s personal lives and sexual relationships. These principles apply directly to women’s healthcare and the care of people during pregnancy, and I lecture to and train birth professionals regarding this important topic. I would be honored to support your family! Discounted services available for families experiencing financial distress.
