Hiring Lauren as my doula was the best decision I made for myself during my second pregnancy!

From the moment we first met to discuss what a doula does, Lauren made me feel comfortable and listened to. The birth of my first child was an almost 40 hour induction and left me traumatized and isolated at the beginning of what would turn into postpartum depression. I felt like I had been betrayed by my providers and that there was little to no compassion for me during my stay. At one point, I was told I could “go home and come back in a few days to try again”. When I told Lauren my birth story and that I wanted a different experience this time around, she assured me that she had my back and that it would be beautiful.

Every time I had a concern or needed to talk, she was always available and super responsive. During my third trimester, she sent me exercises to prepare my body for labor and during the last month of pregnancy checked in on me to see how I was feeling emotionally, spiritually, and physically.

At 41 weeks, I gave birth to my beautiful baby girl after another induction, but this time it went so smoothly and quickly thanks to Lauren. She was there for me when I needed her most, and advocated for me when I physically could not speak for myself. She is extremely knowledgeable, well-spoken, intuitive, and incredibly capable, and fought for the needs of me and my baby. What could have turned into an unnecessary Caesarian section was prevented by Lauren’s intervention. She also took pictures and videos of the birth and immediate moments after and created a beautiful birth video that I will cherish for the rest of my life.

One month postpartum and I am feeling so happy and upbeat- a stark contrast from my first postpartum experience. I know this can largely be credited Lauren, and for that I will forever be grateful.

As a first time mom and never having experienced labor, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was originally scheduled for a C-section due to prior medical complications, but ultimately decided I wanted to experience a vaginal birth. Lauren helped me devise a plan on what I wanted my birthing experience to look like and I can’t imagine not having her support throughout the entire process. I can say without a doubt that she made it possible for me to labor/deliver naturally without any pain medication interventions or epidural. She is a phenomenal doula and holds space so gracefully during the difficult moments of pain and when you feel like giving up. I am incredibly grateful to call her a friend and to have shared such a life changing experience with her. Thank you, Lauren, for all of your support!

If you’re searching for a doula who is experienced, knowledgeable, calming, kind, and so much more, Lauren is the total package!

My wife and my journey started a few years ago when we suffered through our first miscarriage. We ultimately ended up having 3 including one ectopic pregnancy that almost ended my wife’s life. We were introduced to Lauren shortly after and our lives changed forever.

This was our first pregnancy and I had no idea what to expect or even do during delivery. During our labor Lauren was our guide. She helped keep the baby moving down using massage, different laboring positions, and breathing techniques. About 3/4 of the way through the midwives confirmed that our son was face up with a facial presentation. This is an extremely rare scenario and almost ALWAYS ends with a c section for the safety of mother and baby. Against all odds my wife was able to deliver our son vaginally and I am 100% certain that was because of Lauren. She always informed us of what our options were and made sure we understood before moving forward. She advocated for us when we didn’t know how to advocate for ourselves.

Yes, Lauren was our doula and she helped deliver our precious Callum but she is so much more to our family. I almost can’t put into words what she means to us. She was a constant source of support/education before, during, and after our pregnancy. She has become a dear friend to us both. Hiring Lauren was truly one of the best things that we have ever done!

After a tough first birth experience where we felt like everything just happened TO us and it ultimately ending in C-section, we knew we wanted to work with a doula for our second child. When we found out we were pregnant we interviewed two doulas and I knew Lauren would be the right choice for us.

She was a wealth of knowledge and recommendations from prenatal through postpartum. During our labor she worked so hard and put my body through every conceivable position to get our baby in the optimal position. She was encouraging, calm, and kind in what is usually such a high-stress situation. She was an amazing support not only to me, but also to my husband. She worked amazingly well with the entire hospital staff and was an incredible sounding board for us when faced with decisions to make.

Ultimately, our birth ended in a C-section again. However, I came out of this experience knowing that we did absolutely everything we could to try and bring our daughter into this world according to the "plan" we had in mind. It was such a positive experience because we knew we had the knowledge to make the informed decisions on the time table that we should be given during our birth. Our experiences in our births were like night and day and that is all due to Lauren.

My husband and I wholeheartedly agree that if we were to have another child we would absolutely hire Lauren again. Thank you, Lauren!

Lauren was absolutely amazing to have on my birth team. I interviewed 3 doulas before choosing Lauren, but I knew after hers that I wanted her with me on this journey! And I honestly couldn’t have done it without her. She creates a safe, open and supportive environment that was exactly what I wanted for my birth. She knew what I wanted and made sure it happened! Her vibes and energy are so calm and fun I knew we’d get a long great, which was important to me when picking a doula; it needed to be someone I wouldn’t hate to hangout with haha. She’s super quick and responsive with texts, no matter what time of day or night, she was there! And she has a ton of tricks up her sleeve for stretches/exercises, counter pressure for contractions and breathing techniques, that all made my medication free labor so much easier! She is educated, empathetic, and 100% about your needs and wants. I would absolutely recommend her and have zero regrets about choosing her and absolutely will again for any future pregnancies! Thank you sooo much Lauren!

After having a disappointing experience with my first delivery, I knew I wanted this time to be different. By happenstance we found Lauren to be our doula and I can wholeheartedly say it was THE reason why I was successful in having an incredibly peaceful, natural delivery.

Not only did Lauren provide me with the tips and tricks needed to prepare my body for birth, she offered constant support and guidance during any pre birth jitters. Lauren is incredibly knowledgeable and has a very calming presence. It is obvious she loves what she does and genuinely cares about her clients. Because of her I was able to find the confidence within myself to trust my body and the process of giving birth.

Thank you Lauren for everything. We could not have done it without you!

Having Lauren as our doula was absolutely priceless. Idk how else to explain it. One of my biggest goals with my birth plan was to avoid medications and interventions if possible. Not so I could prove anything, but because of all the incredible benefits to both baby and mama. Lauren helped make my labor and delivery experience remarkable in so many ways. I felt supported, guided, nurtured and EMPOWERED through ever contraction, breath, & push. I wanted to truly FEEL and remember the entire human phenomenon. Though SO intense and challenging, it was more perfect than I ever imagined. I will 100% be working with her again through future pregnancies.
Thank you @guidedconnections for helping bring our little bundle into this world! Forever grateful ??
