Before I was pregnant, I knew I wanted Aurea to be our doula. After knowing her for a few years, I knew her personality would make for the right doula for our family. She is nurturing, strong, assertive, open, and knows there is no right way to birth or to raise a child. Throughout the whole process of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, my husband and I have felt heard and supported by Aurea as she is always ready to share resources and offer her guidance. During our birth, Aurea arrived at our hourse at the crack of dawn 10 minutes after we called her. I was preogressing quickly into active labor. She jumped in right away to offer hands-on support for me physiologically, and for the next several hours coached me through my breath, continuously using soothing words to remind me this was all for our baby. Aurea did not hesitate to jump in with other tasks and to support my husband, and even captured photos and videos from our sacred day that we have to cherish forever. I look back on that day in amazement at the strength & endurance of our birth team. In the postpartum, Aurea has assisted us with lactation troubleshooting, emotional support, and just being a person we can always reach out to. Our journey into parenthood would not have been the empowering, uplifting experience it has been without the support of a doula to advocate for our wants and needs. Aurea was that person for us and will forever hold a special place in our hearts and lives!

I didnt need a doula. After having already birthed 2 babies, vaginally and without complications beside my loving partner, I was certain I didn't need any more support. At least that's what I thought. And then I met Aurea. She was real, present, incredibly competent about the labor process and and deeply connected to my birth experience, helping me listen to and better understand my body. Through her services, I was protected and empowered with my third birth in a way I did not know I could be. I and my partner would not have been as confident without her generous expertise. If you're desiring a sacred and meaningful birth experience, I highly recommend journeying with Aurea.

Aurea was such a stable rock of support and encouragement as our postpartum doula. From texting, phone call, to in-person support - she was so essential to me in the early days with the steep learning journey and curve balls that came with breastfeeding. She was responsive during the immediate times of need and a calming and easy presence when helping at home. She also provided vital guidance and recommendations when we found out our little one had tongue & lips ties. She helped navigate how to utilize her postpartum, knowing every hour/day/week was going to be different. Aurea is knowledgeable, kind, and supportive. I highly recommend her for your doula needs.

Aurea was everything we needed and so much more in the birth of our sweet, healthy baby girl. As first time parents my partner and I decided on an out of hospital birth despite a lot of opinions from others. This was the best decision we ever made for us personally. The support Aurea provided both my partner and I was so invaluable. All of the training and education really prepared us for the big day…game time!

We had never done this before so we really leaned on Aurea to answer every question…yes EVERY question that pops into the head of a slightly anxious mama-to-be! Her expertise went beyond the questions and beyond the preparation.

It was all the little things that pop into my mind from the smell of peppermint filling the room as I became nauseous, suggesting a new comfort position to get me through the next wave, or the steady flow of affirmations when things got really hard. I can still hear her saying “low and slow,” “you were made for this,” “you will meet your baby soon.” All things I needed to hear in those very specific moments.

I can go on about that very special morning meeting our baby girl but even now I say that it wouldn't have been the same without Aurea there. One last thing I’ll say is that I didn’t fully wrap my head around the time she would spend with us that night and morning. Labor is hard work and takes HOURS! Aurea was there for it all.

Thank you for being the positive force of energy at every stage in prenatal, labor, delivery and postpartum.

10/10 all around!

It was our first birth and being far away from any of our families, we were looking for reliable support after birth and having Aurea as our postpartum doula was a great decision.  We knew from the interview that she was very knowledgeable and also offered us many suggestions to our needs.  She provided us with useful information and answers to any questions we had.  She also taught us and gave our baby his first bath at home and since then our baby is a big fan of bath.  Aurea is really good at taking care of the baby, we were able to get a real rest for the first time since the baby's birth.  It was a great experience for us and we think as well for the baby and happy to have Aurea as our doula.  We highly recommend her.   By the way she is a great cook as well!

Where do I even begin? Aurea is the kind, confident, and calming spirit you need in the room with you during labor. She provided so much unbiased clarity for me and my husband, and we are so grateful she was part of our birth story. She was quick to respond to our questions during my pregnancy - I just wish I would have found her sooner! She goes above and beyond to not only support you during labor, but also prep you for what's to come in labor, educate you in breastfeeding/all things postpartum, and talk through your emotions, fears, and joys. My husband and I were more educated and confident during and after my labor because of Aurea. We absolutely adore Aurea and would recommend her to anyone!

Aurea was a tremendous help and support during my pregnancy journey! She has a wealth of knowledge and resources that helped demystify some of the aspects of pregnancy people don't often talk about. More importantly, she was a fantastic emotional support during pregnancy, during labor, and during my postpartum experience. Any time I had a question or concern, Aurea was readily available with answers and support. And her contribution in the birthing room was invaluable; she has a lot of expertise on ways to mitigate labor pains and did an amazing job making the hospital room feel more relaxing. Aurea was able to intuit all of my needs, from big ones like counterpressure to help with labor pains, to small ones like a fan to help cool me down. Both my partner and I loved working with her and happily recommend Aurea's services to all expectant parents out there!
