Having Christina as my doula was one of the best decisions I made for my pregnancy. Her expertise made me feel prepared and confident! The unwavering support my spouse and I received from Christina during pregnancy and birth was great, and knowing we could count on her to be our voice was something we will always treasure. I am forever thankful for her services and guidance!

Going into this pregnancy (my second) my husband and I knew that we wanted birth to go differently than it did with our first. I had a lot of fear that I would be nudged in a certain direction that I didn't want to go (repeat C- section). So, my first step was to look into getting a doula. We found Christina through a friend who recommended her and we knew it was a good match for us; she displayed empathy and knowledge that immediately made us feel at ease with our decision. Choosing her as our doula was one of the best decisions we made throughout our journey.
She was there checking in on me during my entire pregnancy, available for any questions I had, and supportive when I needed a little push to speak up on certain topics. She answered all of my husbands questions when she did the home visits prior to me having the baby and that allowed him to feel more confident when I was going into labor.
Having her by our side during labor was transformative! I truly do not think I would have had the amazing experience I did had she not been there. Christina had such a calming presence, a soothing voice through contractions, and she made me feel like I COULD do it when I felt like i absolutely could not make it through the natural birth I wanted. She ensured our preferences were honored while also giving us insight and helpful comfort measures while at the hospital.
Beyond the labor and birth experience Christina came to the house postpartum and checked in with us, wrote a birth story for me, and talked through the entire experience. 8 months later and the birth story is still hanging on the fridge and I read it frequently. Having her as our doula made us feel like we had someone we trusted to advocate for us when needed and to celebrate our journey into becoming parents to another little boy. We will forever be grateful for the positive impact she had on our family.

From our first coffee meeting and discussion on my birth desires/expectations all the way to meeting us at the hospital when I went into labor over the Thanksgiving holiday, our experience with Christina was nothing short of amazing. As a first time mom (and my first pregnancy), having Christina with us along the way was calming for me as I wasn't sure what to expect (the books only tell you so much and pregnancy groups on apps/Facebook can really bring out your fears/anxieties). It gave me constant reassurance of her support during our birth, and reassurance for myself that I was capable of birthing our baby (all of which she always so kindly and genuinely reminded me during our sessions).
For my husband, her presence helped him understand where he could speak up for us and our birth desires/expectations at the hospital and with the hospital staff. When different events happened during our baby's birth, Christina helped my husband understand what was happening and what decisions were being made, or that he needed to help me make. You truly don't realize the value of having this type of support in the hospital room with you until you are actively in labor, and you are not able to reason these things or make these decisions yourself (even if you thought you might be able to).
For me, selecting Christina as our doula was an easy decision, and one that I'll make again someday. She's easy to talk to, comforting, knowledgable, and caring. Thank you, Christina, for your guidance in bringing our baby into the world, and for your support and love as I became a mom.

My water broke at midnight and by 6am, contractions had picked up and I was having to really concentrate on relaxing. I asked my husband to call Christina, and within 30 min she was by my side giving me suggestions for positions and reminding me to breath. The minute I saw her walk through the door, I just felt like a weight lifted. I didn’t have to use my brain anymore, CHRISTINA WAS MY BRAIN. During labor she was invaluable, reminding me to breath, relax, eat, drink, focus and work hard. She also was there when I wasn’t sure what to do next, providing evidence based facts and verbalizing my birth plan when I didn’t have the ability to speak. My husband gained so much confidence this labor, and I think it’s because he had Christina as a partner. During the most intense part of pushing, I will forever remember Christina’s face and calm voice reminding me I was safe and in control.
If you are looking for a friend that can help you navigate pregnancy and birth, someone who loves empowering women through education … Christina is your doula. If you want someone to help you navigate postpartum changes, breastfeeding and postpartum mental health…she’s your doula. I couldn’t have done any of this without her.

Christina was our doula for my husband and my first baby a few months ago and she was so supportive! She had tons of helpful information and resources that made us feel very confident when making decisions. And she did such a great job creating a calm and relaxing environment for all of us. She really listened to what was best for us and overall made the experience so good! Also as someone who has struggled with anxiety and depression in the past, I really appreciated her focus on mental health. She opened up the discussion of post partum depression in a way that felt safe and supportive, so I could really feel comfortable talking to her. I highly recoemmend her!
