Alexa was an absolute God send to my family and I as my postpartum doula. 

Having just relocated to Calgary and with no close family support, Alexa came to my rescue in supporting me through the first 2 months of my postpartum period.  With not only my newborn but also my 18 month old son who quickly took a shine to her. It takes a while for my son to get used to people however within our 1st meeting he absolutely loved being around her and had no problems at all staying with her while I was at the hospital. I repeat my son is very people shy.

When I needed help with occupying my son, Alexa was there.  When I needed rest and sleep from the night feeds, Alexa was there. When I needed help around the house, Alexa was there. What I really loved about Alexa was that she was very pro-active when it came to our family's needs and instinctively took action where it was needed without prompting. She was also very flexible in terms of her schedule and always timed it when she would be the most needed to get the maximum service.

If you're worried about how you will manage with transitioning coming home with a newborn and most especially with other toddler(s)/ kids then Alexa is the doula you need. ??

With little family nearby, we hired Alexa to supply sibling support for our 19month old daughter while we were in hospital delivering our second child. It was the first time our daughter had spent the evening away from us, but it was a breeze with Alexa there. Our daughter loved Alexa, and had a great time, and we were able to relax and focus on the birth knowing that our little one was well cared for.

Alexa is easy to communicate with, punctual, accommodating, and so relaxing to be around. We instantly felt relieved in her presence and had no concerns leaving our child in her capable hands. We would definitely recommend her to anyone, and would absolutely use her services again.

Alexa is the type of person to think for you and personally I needed that, so I can just breathe. I was already overwhelmed with having a home birth, and not being fully prepared she noticed that and asked what are the responsibilities, and made them her own. The way she communicated with me provided me with the security and trust that everything is going in divine order.  Her presence is peaceful positive and graceful, which calmed me. Her voice is soothing and helped keep me grounded and focused while pushing. Having her for birth and postpartum provided me with the reality that I am in control and that I'm doing everything right, watching her take care of me, my home, and our family made me cry over how grateful I am to be cared for in a way I feared I wasn't going to get if I didn't have her. She really went above and beyond for us to the point where I felt guilty for all the support she was giving. I love this women and I wouldn't need anyone else for birth, I knew because of her my road back to myself will be effortless and clear minded.

Alexa provided excellent support for her client. She was a calm and positive presence. She was easy to work with as a care provider. Very collaborative, while serving her client's needs first. I would certainly reccomend her!
