Using Aunt Sarah Doula for postpartum support was the absolute best choice we made when expecting our second baby in April, 2022. While we initially expected our greatest need would be helping with household tasks/childcare during c-section recovery, Sarah provided so much more than that. There is nothing that Sarah was not willing to do to make sure that our family felt supported and that we were given time to adjust to our big change while continuing to heal. Sarah proved to be a calming force when dealing with feeding and health difficulties with our infant (a severe milk protein allergy) and made sure our 2 year old son always felt loved and cared for at a time when it would be very easy to make him feel "forgotten". Through recovery, Sarah listened to our needs and sometimes was able to identigy them before we even could - she would always make sure I was drinking enough water, napping enough and not overdoing it. She even made sure our dog was getting enough exercise. Giving both children the attention and care they needed gave me, as a mom, the opportunity to bond deeper with them both and feel no resentment or stress towards my postpartum period. Sarah was able to easily adapt to our family's changing needs as our kids got a bit older and the bond that she has created with them is unmatchable. Our entire family has benefitted from Sarah's support and we recommend using her to anyone who is interested!

Sarah was truly fantastic throughout our entire labor & delivery, and pregnancy in general. I was in labor for 40+ hours and Sarah was there as soon as I called her. She offered numerous coping techniques for pain and suggested position changes to keep labor moving along. I felt like she was my advocate in the delivery room, asking doctors questions when I was in too much pain to concentrate. She also was supportive for my husband and helped him figure out how to best support me. My favorite thing about Sarah is that she is non-judgemental. She was there to support me no matter what choices I made. She was extremely supportive when I decided to get an epidural, and when I had to be rushed into an emergency c-section. She was there waiting for me when I was out of the operation, and didn't leave our side until we were settled in our post-partum recovery room. In the months leading up to birth, she was very communicative and offered great resources for myself and my husband in order to help us get prepared (mentally and physically) for birth. I truly cannot say enough good things about Sarah. If you are looking for a supportive and non-judgemental doula to help you get through your big day, you can't go wrong with her.

Sarah was an amazing support as a postpartum doula! From the minute we found her, her care and ease made us feel comfortable and supported. She helped us to prepare well for the birth and our expectations for after. Would highly recommend her!
