Maren was exactly the missing piece to the birth of our fourth baby! She was our sibling doula and simply AMAZING! She was the calm, patient, kind, knowledgeable person I needed to be able to leave my babies and go have another baby! Being a mom herself, she just knew what to do. So simple and easy to figure out she was exactly who we wanted to add to our birth team this time around. Our kids even adored her! You will never regret hiring her!

Maren went over and above the role of a doula to ensure that we felt prepared for a home birth. There were no surprises. And, she was there, exactly how she said she would be, along the way. Her calm presence was exactly what I needed. Not too much, not too little.

I can not say enough good things about Maren. I was so thankful we got to have her as our doula. If you are thinking about getting a doula or just trying to figure out which one to go with, pick Maren!!! We used her for our second baby and I learned so much from her. She taught me about different exercises to prepare for birth, nutrition pre/post birth, how to care for myself post birth (which I had no idea after the birth of my first baby and pushed myself way to hard/ too fast), and just nurtured me and my family. Not to mention she drove in an ice storm to get to me during the birth of my baby!
She cleaned our house, heated up a meal for me, made some warm tea, helped me get cleaned up and settled in after my baby was born. I could not have felt more cared for. On the day of our post partum visit we had our sons lip and tongue tie resected and she came over after it was done and helped me with nursing, heated up some food and played with my two year old daughter while I got some rest. She was so kind and loving to me and my family and I can not thank her enough for all she did for us. That made such a difference in my birth and recovery and wished I had thought to use a doula for my first birth. Maren is amazing and you won't be disappointed if you pick her to be your doula.

My husband and I truly enjoyed our experience with Maren! As first time parents we were very unsure of what to expect and Maren was there for us the entire way, including the weeks after birth! Any questions or concerns we had about birth and other procedures/options surrounding birth, Maren was extremely knowledgable and on top of it! She helped us prepare mentally as well as physically and emotionally. I can't imagine what my experience would have been without her and I am so happy that we chose to have Maren with us through it! We look forward to working with her again in the future.
Having Maren as our doula was extremely helpful! We had planned for a natural birth but ended up having a c-section. Maren made sure we were prepared for both situations, was supportive, knowledgable, and available through it all.
Imagine having someone with you in your birthing session (as well as in the weeks before & after), that helps takes care of everything, including getting photos of moments you'd never want to forget, but may not have thought of, who supports you unconditionally, as well as teaches and coaches you and your partner, advocates for you, helps you understand every aspect that she can, and is even there if you end up choosing or having to have a c-section. Someone who makes your experience brighter, and more calming/at ease and is truly there with you every step of the way - that is how I would describe Maren's service as a doula.

After seven years of infertility treatment, my husband and I learned we could “make them,” but I can’t “bake them.” We were blessed to find an incredible surrogate who has four of her own children and carried a surrogate child for another family. She used a doula for most of her pregnancies and wanted one for this birth. At the time I knew nothing about doulas and will admit I wasn’t sure one was necessary. However, we wanted to honor her wishes so agreed to use one.
Our surrogate found Maren on this website and felt a strong connection right away. She provided two prenatal visits (one for each family), labor and delivery support (at the surrogate's home and at the hospital), postpartum care for our surrogate and six weeks of support for me and my husband following the birth! We took full advantage as she is a wealth of knowledge, and we were eager to learn all her tips!
We were all blown away by Maren every step of the way. Her calm yet assertive manner is exactly what is needed for this role. There are so many “things” we would not have known or have been prepared for had it not been for Maren. I am now a firm believer that every expectant mom needs not only a doula, but a Maren!
Maren has an incredible heart and shared the joy of our surrogacy story. As this was her first surrogacy birth, she humbly asked questions to understand our relationship and specific needs, all while maintaining confidentially for both families. Rather than use techniques applied to traditional pregnancies, she developed a unique plan to meet all our needs.
If you are considering using a doula for your pregnancy, I highly recommend Maren! And if you are in a surrogacy situation, look no further! We plan to try our last embryo next year and will most certainly ask Maren to be our doula if the pregnancy is a success!

I had such a great experience with Maren! Her presence in my home was so calming and full of love. She is an amazing doula and offered physical and emotional support while I labored with our 6th child. She offered a lot of education, check ins before my labor, and came to my home postpartum as well. My other children bonded to her very well and I felt I could relax and focus on healing and breastfeeding postpartum as she helped manage the rest of the household. i am beyond grateful! Thank you Maren!!

We were so lucky to have Maren be apart of our birth. She was here to support myself and my family during the weeks leading up to the birth, the day of the birth and through my postpartum period. Maren is so full of knowledge and constantly learning new ways to help her clients. She would reach out to me weeks/days leading up to my due date to see how I was doing and give me some guidance on ways to stretch and move. I didn't have a doula during my first birth and having that extra support around the second time made a huge difference. Thank you, Maren, for everything you did to support us during this beautiful time!

It’s been one of life’s great gifts to have met Maren several years ago at a church service in Bundang, South Korea. I didn’t know then that we would continue to support each other through the next few years living abroad, and thanks to technology continue to do so when we moved apart. In the time I spent with her, it was apparent her heart was growing for mothers, their babies, and the journey through pregnancy, labor and birthing, and postpartum. When I anxiously shared with her the news we were expecting babe one- she began to mentor me as a friend in prenatal health, birthing, newborn care, and breastfeeding. During the next several years- I was so pleased to hear her dreams and see her hard work to become a certified doula CBI. While we were not as often in touch for a period of time, during that time I confided in her about a miscarriage. She was gentle and supportive during a tender time. Most recently, she generously became my professional doula for my non medicated birth of my second baby boy. She helped me work through fears of birth for the this time around, advocated for me and encouraged me to ask for what I needed and wanted during my birth experience, and helped with comfort measures and laboring techniques. She’s a strong advocate and a wise educator, allowing mom to make informed choices for her birth experience. I am so blessed to have her in my corner!
