first time mom here and I was so anxious and worried . So I looked into a doula to help me through and I came across Amsy !! As soon as my water broke I texted her and she was right by my side every step of the way I had a long process and she kept me calm and helped ease my nerves because everything was so new to me I didn’t know what to expect ! Helped a lot with reminding the doctors and nurses of my wishes she made sure they were respecting me. I loved how she was there from the first text that my water broke .I had a long labor she came and left a couple times just to make sure I was alright and didn’t leave my side when I was in active labor ! Her hands are magical helped ease my pain and her words of encouragement were everything I needed when I was ready to quit ! I had a lot of changes in my birthing plan but she helped me readjust to each one without judgement . It’s been two months since I gave birth and she still checks up on me and my baby . I feel now that Myla(my daughter) is part her’s because of all the love and support she has shown and gave to us . We love her and highly recommend her !!!

One piece of advice I was given before having my first child was hire a doula. Amsy is worth the investment y’all! I read so many books about birth to educate myself on the birthing process and she was still able to provide me with so much more. She helped me in more ways pre-birth than I could have imagined. From helping me know how to put on my baby wrap to helping me create my birth plan and everything in between.

When baby was making his presence she was there. I ended up needing an emergency c section. From someone who originally wanted an unmedicated vaginal birth I was feeling so many emotions. Overwhelmed, anxious and fear were only a few. Amsy was right by my side reassuring me and she was honestly the calm in the storm.

After baby made his arrival she was STILL there for me! One of the best heart to hearts I had was with her after my c-section. I can full heartedly say she helped me more than I could have ever imagined. She is a Godsend.

If you are thinking about hiring a doula, Hire Amsy!! ??

We cannot say enough about Amsy! We recommend her to everyone. Being our first time, my husband & I had no idea what to expect. I really felt I needed more support than what my husband could give me, even though he tried his hardest. I needed someone who really knows the ins & outs, who's able not only to support but to guide. I knew having this would give me more confidence & peace through it all. Having not even heard of a doula before, my husband was skeptical at first but was opened to it for my sake. To no suprise, we hit it off with Amsy from the start. We felt more & more comfortable and prepared with each visit. She quickly became like a friend to us. It wasn't long before my husband started to say things like, "Well what did Amsy say about that?" "Hmm Idk Summer, I think you should text Amsy & ask!" Looking back I realized my husband needed the support as much as I did. During my quick and chaotic labor & delivery, though many parts are fuzzy, I remember hearing Amsy by my bedside coaching me through it & reiterating to me what the doctor just said to make sure I understood. In the midst of it all, she even asked my husband how he was holding up! And in fact, if it wasn't for Amsy's guidance & communication with my husband during laboring, I would've stayed way too long at home before leaving for the hospital!! Again, I cannot say enough good things about our time with Amsy. She was everything we needed & more. Before, during, and after! It's apparent she truly loves what she does & does not go about it as just another job. We would use her again in a heartbeat & pay x10 more, if we had to!

Amsy is truly one of a kind! What started out as strangers, turned into a beautiful relationship full of trust and support. From the very beginning of our client/doula relationship Amsy was a source of comfort and reassurance. My husband and I had just about 0 clue on all things pregnancy and labor, and she was so patient to explain every option we had, and provided research based information while never once pushing her own personal beliefs on us (even when I begged her to just tell me what to do ??). My husband and I felt such peace with her writing out birth plan and knew that with Amsy by our side we’d be able to bring an actual human into this world successfully.

Fast forward to the big day, Amsy was a champion. When labor began at 9:30pm on a Saturday night, she was there with us every step of the way. She reassured us with texts/phone calls throughout that first night, and met us at the hospital early Sunday morning. She spoke with the nurses for us when I literally couldn’t speak, assisted us with different positions, helped calm my husband, took some of the most meaningful photos (I literally framed her iphone camera skills ??), and provided LOTS of laughter to keep us sane.

Through 36 hours of labor, ending in an undesired c-section, Amsy didn’t miss a beat. She was there right before we went into surgery holding me while I sobbed, and she was there right when we got out of the operating room. We truly couldn’t have survived all of that without her!

She even stopped by our home 2 weeks post-birth to check in, bring mama some coffee, discuss breast feeding troubles, and get some baby snuggles!! The support she provides before, during, and after labor is worth every last penny. One thing is for sure, even if we have to go the c-section route with our next birth, Amsy will definitely be by our side again. 12 out of 10 recommend!!

I am so thankful to have had Amsy by my side through my whole birth, and there is no question that she is the absolute best!! My child birthing experience would NOT have been as successful if I didn’t have her support ?? HIRE HER! Having her by your side is a must have ????

When I became pregnant with twins for my second pregnancy I knew I needed a doula to help reduce some fears I had about delivering. I was made to believe all twin pregnancies end in a C section. Amsy educated me and empowered me to fight for the delivery I wanted for my boys. So thankful for who God has made her to be and how passionate about birth she is!

It was a joy to work with Amsy during my 1st few weeks postpartum. Having the physical & emotional support was very helpful to adjusting to life as a new mom. I suffered a back injury during my labor & delivery which made my situation complex; however, Amsy was sypathetic, kind, & understanding of my needs. She helped encourage me in my nursing process as I dealt with many complications. Overall, my experience with her was great & I would recommend her to any new mom.

Amsy was my postpartum doula. She was available to me emotionally and physically as I navigated the tedious first days of motherhood. She was a great resource for me while my baby and I learned to breastfeed, and later pump to bottle feed. Her warm smile, gentle guidance, lighthearted sense of humor and knowledge brought my husband and I so much peace during the sleepless, unpredictable nights of the fourth trimester. I highly recommend Amsy as a doula and postpartum doula!

I met Amsy early in my postpartum journey, and at just the right time. As a first time mom, postpartum came with so many unforeseen challenges in the “fourth trimester.” Amsy was a calming presence in the midst of my chaos. She provided helpful tangible support, from troubleshooting breastfeeding issues, to meal prepping, to organizing the nursery, to teaching me baby wearing, and even accompanying me to an infant massage class! The most helpful thing, though, was her emotional support. She was a listening ear as I processed my new transition to motherhood. I never felt judged, just heard. She was a true gift of grace personified to me in a really challenging and amazing time. I really can’t say enough great things about her postpartum doula services and would recommend her to any new mom!

Amsy was amamzing, so thankful for her assistance during the birth of my 2nd daughter. Both of my daughter's were born at the hospital. My first experience was not so great, since I had her at a young age and did not have much knowledge of the labor/delivery experience. I delivered my 2nd natural, which I don't believe I would have been able to do without Amsy. She made me feel very comfortable(as much as you can be during labor) and I was able to allow her to handle everything without having to worry about what was going on. She gave my husband tips to help comfort me and took care of the nurses that tried to give me undeeded pitocin. It was nice to have her there to take care of things so I did not have to stress about it and could focus on delivering my baby. Amsy is passionate and truly dedicated to labor/delivery. Will be using her again if we ever have another!
