A scared and alone first time mom, in a new country and culture with lots of cultural shocks, how worse could any situation be ??. Just when I was juggling on the internet to possibly have an idea what labor was all about, I met Phillipa. I was a clueless 35 weeks pregnant mom when I met Phillipa, but with zeal and swiftness, Phillipa provided me with books and resources on what to eat, exercises, breastfeeding, labor education etc and soon I was confident and prepared enough to meet my baby. Phillipa is a professional, patient, kind, dedicated doula who will do everything in her ability to get you through a safe delivery and postpartum even in the shortest period to delivery. Because of Phillipa, I dilated from 2cm to 10cm in less than 5 hours which I know couldn't have happened if I didn't have a doula. If you are pregnant or you just delivered and you need a doula to feel safe, Phillipa is your best bet.

Having a baby soon? Get yourself a doula like this. She’s knows what she’s doing. I had a vaginal delivery and her pain relieving method worked better than the nitrous oxide that I stopped using at some point. From the prenatal care, the delivery room experience to the postnatal you get all the information and help that you need and even more, having her as my doula was the best decision ever! Untill the last minute I was wondering where will I get help even though I din't know any doula in Kamloops .Then boom! I meet this amazing soul Phillipa coxon.She does such an amazing job .She supported me in the best way possible.labour went so smoothly .It's like she understands every pain and knows how to deal with them as a professional she is.I will recommend her again and again.

I decided to try to find a midwife as I was apprehensive about what to expect in labour and how to best prepared for it. After our first meeting we knew right away that Philippa was the perfect fit for us. She was knowledgeable, kind, and has a clear passion for being a doula. She met several times with us and gave us numerous resources. As my due date approached I felt as prepared as I think I could. Due to needing a quick emergency C section we didn't have an opportunity to go through labour. Phillipa was wonderful with her post natal care and came to our home several times. She helped hold our baby so I could catch some extra sleep and did some tasks around the house that had been building up such as tidying the kitchen, folding laundry, and watering my garden. I can't recommend Philippa enough for her care and I wouldn't hesitate to seek her care if we had a future pregnancy.

Having Philippa as my doula was extra helpful for me during my son's birth. I'm not a usual fan of epidural and had made up my mind not to use it but when the contractions were too intense for me, I felt Iike giving up and going for epidural and even when I was screaming for the doctor to give me epidural. Philippa convinced me that I didn't need it and she helped me through it all till I delivered. Even after delivery, she became more than a doula to me and my family. Thank you so much Philippa.

Philippa had been an amazing support to me throughout my pregnancy journey...Being a new immigrant she not only helped me with my pregnancy issues but equally guided me to understand the complex canadian healthcare system.

I am truly blessed to have met Philippa ,who provided guidance at every step.She even prioritized my care over her personal plans!

Philippa is very knowledgable and provides information from a variety of legitimate and evidence based sources.She supports natural methods and techniques of child birth.She is a very warm and friendly person and always available to offer any kind of support with a smile on her face.I am very thankful to Philippa for all she did for me.

I am so grateful for having Philippa throughout my pregnancy and birth journey! She supplied me with so many resources throughout my pregnancy via lending me amazing books (saving me so much money), sending internet links and videos for exercises, and many printed and emailed resources. She met with me several times and checked in with me very often via text. I felt so supported throughout. She came with me to a doctor appointment and met me at the hospital a couple of times. 

I feel that her ideas, tips and resources for spinning babies helped to flip my baby just in time for labour from being OP position. I also appreciated that she was always available via text to answer any of my questions or concerns. 

During labour she was very helpful with support, keeping me calm, getting my partner involved, and keeping me cool when I was feeling so hot with some different gadgets she had. 

She has checked in with me since having my baby, sending resources for breastfeeding since we're having a few troubles etc. And will be coming by my house to check in with us. 

I would highly recommend Philippa as a Birth Doula and will definitely have her part of my next pregnancy if we have another child.

I got in touch with Philippa through the Pregnancy Center in Kamloops. Immediately after meeting her I felt I was interacting with someone I already knew from a long time. She made me feel so comfortable. Her friendly attitude and infectious laugh made me enjoy her company. 
She sent me so much helpful information throughout my pregnancy. Her thorough knowledge convinced me to have her by my side during labor. If you're looking for a doula that provides diligent care, remains involved and is well informed you've found the right one. Thank you for everything Philippa.

At 37, I found myself unexpectedly pregnant and still had quite a bit of anxiety from a somewhat traumatic birth experience eight years earlier. I do not say this lightly: Philippa was an absolute God-send.  Prior to connecting with her, I was considering a planned c-section to avoid labor all together.  But having her as my doula enabled me to face the day with confidence. In addition to her own knowledge, she shared a variety of resources based upon my needs. 

During the labor, Philippa was intuitive and brought such a calming presence to both me and my husband. I look back on the entire day of labor as a cherished memory, rather than the fear and pain riddled labors of my first two. Following the birth, I continued to feel supported by her home visits. Our whole experiece with Philippa was excellent and I cannot recommend her strongly enough.

Prior to connecting with Philippa, I was feeling extremely ill-equipped as I anticipated the arrival of our little girl. I knew there were things I should be doing to prepare my mind and body for labour, but I had little idea how! Philippa was invaluable in providing me so many resources and knowledge. With her support, I headed into labour and delivery feeling so empowered; and, the ability to do so with confidence cannot be overstated!! 

On the day of my labour and delivery, Philipa’s in-person care was invaluable. At times, when I could have easily felt scared and uncertain, her coaching put me at ease. 

Philippa was an amazing doula, and my birth experience would not have been the same without her. She is a joy to recommend!
