Leah is an amazing human being! Her calming presence and experience showed from our very first interaction with her and throughout our labor and delivery.  During our prenatal appointment, she gave my husband and I lots of tips and helpful information to help us stay focused and open during the labor and delivery process.  When our birth turned into an emergency C Section, Leah was there guiding and supporting my husband and I through each step of the process.  She was an invaluable support to my husband and a wealth of knowledge and information for us both during one of the scariest and most unexpected events of our lives!  As our story unfolded, Leah was so supportive, clear, proactive, and responsive.  She is exactly the person we needed before our baby arrived, during labor, and postpartum!  Even weeks after our birth, she is still involved in our family and will be a friend for life.

Hiring Leah was easily the best decision we made in preparing for the birth of our first child. From the moment we first got connected, Leah worked hard to ensure both me and my husband felt heard and cared for. If it wasn’t for her determination and persistence in fighting for my dream birth, I would never have gotten connected with my eventual midwife or been able to have a truly beautiful homebirth. She made every effort to really get to know what mattered to us and how she could support us along the way. She is beyond generous, and provided many extra gifts and incredible resources that made us feel so cared for and thought of throughout the pregnancy. She was a steady support for us to rely on, no matter what else was going on in our pregnancy journey.

During our birth, she provided instant relief and support through contractions, even capturing beautiful pictures as our son arrived and continuing to be available with resources and advice through the postpartum period. Leah is a completely calming presence and peace bringer to any situation and we cannot recommend her enough!

Leah is one of my greatest friends so it was a no brainer when I found out I was pregnant I would be hiring her as my doula. Even before I was pregnant I knew that her knowledge and skills on birth and the newborn stages were so advanced! She was so supportive during my whole pregnancy and made sure I had the resources I needed to be as informed as possible about what was to come during my son's birth. Postpartum, she has continued to be  my biggest support person - as I can call her about any questions I have it just to be able to sit and cry with her. She just has the personality that you can share anything and everything with and she will empathize with you and be that person to guide you through it all. I couldn't recommend Leah enough and am so grateful to her for her never ending support!

Having Leah as our Doula was a game changer. When you first meet her you feel like you've been embraced in a warm hug of love, strength and positivity. (She will give you an actual hug too) Leah makes you feel comfortable from the start. As first time parents we had no idea where to start or what to do. Leah guided us through it all. From practicing breathing techniques before hand to making our birth plan to what we were each packing. She was that helping hand we needed. 

Our labor was no different. Due to complications I wasn't able to have an intervention free birth like we had planned. She worked seemlessly with our health care team and midwife to ensure our voices were heard, our needs met, and that we were making decisions we were comfortable with. At one point she could see I was getting very discouraged in the lack of progression in my labor. Instead of allowing me to see the negative, Leah immediately switched gears.  She set up a calming space got my husband and I in the shower allowing for us both to relax and re center ourselves. It was exactly what we needed. She was exactly what we needed. Her tips, tricks, loving words, encouragement to change positions, and abundant positivity all made the delivery of our son so perfect.

Our experience was different than what we had planned, but still just as magical thanks to Leah. She wasn't just coaching me through birth but my husband as well. She was there every step of the way to fight for what we wanted when we couldn't. She made that day so special for us. The photos she captured will forever be a part of our story. I refuse to give birth without her by our side as we continue to grow our family. Leah is an absolute blessing and I can't recommend her services enough.
