Erin was kind, patient, and thoughtful as my doula for my second birth. While I was laboring at home, Erin gave me some of the best advice and helped coach me through contractions. At the hospital, due to Covid restrictions and the fact that my son arrived within an hour of my arrival at the hospital, Erin was not allowed into the hospital in time for the birth, but was allowed in shortly after and provided incredibly caring support following birth into the postpartum period.

My husband and I are so appreciative of Erin being our doula during the pregnancy and birth of our second son. I loved that Erin gave me actionable steps to do working towards my goal of having a VBAC (vaginal birth after C-section). She also encouraged me throughout my pregnancy, giving me affirmations that my body was capable even when I had doubts. She was a great advocate when my doctor tried to push me to make decisions that went against my goal. And during labor, Erin was right there coaching me through the intense contractions. Even after I gave birth, Erin gave me personal gifts to help me in my process of recovery. And even though I did have another C-section, I would have Erin as my doula 100 times over again. She made my pregnancy/labor/postpartum experience SO much betterg! I can't recommend her enough

I have had an excellent experience working with Birth Connections, particularly engaging with Ravae. During the birth of my first child, having my doula (Ravae) was a deal breaker for me and I am forever grateful for her service which was done with huge care and professionalism. For the birth of my second child, Ravae had relocated to another city, however, she was very responsive to my request, made sure to connect me with doula in my city of birth and even followed through my second experience. It really means a lot to navigate the whole birth process with a knowledgeable doula to take well informed decisions along the way and ensure smooth delivery. We welcomed our daughter in May 2020 with the Birth Connections doulas (our family's second birth with this team). Ravae worked with us to plan for a level of support appropriate for the goals we had for this birth, keeping in mind our previous experience. I was impressed with how quickly the Birth Connections team pivoted to adjust our plan to the COVID pandemic. With COVID affecting folks availability, Ravae kept lines of communication with her team open so that I was sure to have someone available in-person who I was comfortable with. One of my main goals was to avoid medical induction, and Ravae provided tips and tricks to get things going at 40 weeks+. Baby needed to be monitored for medical reasons as soon as my water broke, so we ended up with continuous virtual support at the hospital (no in-person doulas allowed at that time). Ravae provided coaching through contractions and helped us determine what questions to ask the hospital team via FaceTime and AirPods. In between she was available for updates or concerns via text. With Ravae's help, labor progressed easily and smoothly.... until baby flipped at the last minute, ending in an emergency c-section due to baby's positioning. Ravae quickly helped me calm down and get into the right mindset to meet our new family member, and was available to check-in immediately post-op. Ravae and Brandi provided crucial empathetic and non-judgmental support for the first few weeks postpartum as we adjusted to having a newborn during a pandemic. We leaned on Brandi's postpartum expertise via phone consult for everything from baby scheduling reminders to sibling support and breastfeeding advice. Choosing Birth Connections means you have multiple experienced people on your side, with amazing women contributing their specific areas of strength and expertise. Once again, the Birth Connections team pulled through for our family and made a whirlwind birth experience into something positive and empowering.
