If you are on the fence about hiring a doula here is your sign to ABSOLUTELY do it and chose one of the best out there, Julie. I can not imagine what my experience and journey would have been like if I did not have the support from her. Julie has been a calming, supportive, knowledgeable, and loving essential figure in my pre and post natal journey. Although I knew when choosing Julie there was a chance she would be unable to attend my birth due to a scheduled vacation I knew she was the right fit us and that we had to have her as our Doula. As fate would have it I ended up going into labor the morning she left but Julie hand picked the next best doula for us to fill in and we still had a beautiful birthing experience (this was also the first time she was ever unable to attend on her clients births). Julie made herself available 24/7 for questions and concerns while we were in the hospital and answered my many phone calls and questions. The day she returned she was at our house there to support us. She was invaluable in connecting me with essential post partum resources outside of herself including lactation consultants, therapists, and support groups. I can not imagine my first pregnancy and post partum without her and have gained a life long friend in the process. We love Julie !!

First off, Julie was nothing short of amazing throughout the whole process! My husband and I decided to hire a doula in our 3rd trimester, so Julie was quick to schedule an at-home visit to get to know us. We talked about labor and all things birth, and she answered any questions we had. Julie would frequently text and check-in throughout the last months of my pregnancy, and shared resources to help further prepare us for birth (meditations, packing list, etc.) During labor she was hands on with supporting both my husband and I, while still giving us space. She knew exactly the type of support I needed, and met me at each of my crossroads with love and support. Julie has a calming energy and you can truly feel how much she cares through her work.
