This was my second birth and my second with Rachel Ogea as my doula. Rachel asked me what my  expectations and goals were this time around. And WOW, were they exceeded!

Throughout my pregnancy Rachel Ogea guided me through different stretches and techniques to assist with comfort and to prepare my body for labor. If I had questions, she would answer them. When I had worries, she would help ease those worries. I felt so strong and empowered after my daughter’s birth, it was truly an amazing experience.

Not only is she knowledgeable about her job, but she is so passionate about it too. And that’s exactly the type of person you need in your corner when it’s go time. It was such a blessing to have her there with me again!

We are forever grateful for Rachel's incredible support during the birth of our baby girl! From the moment she arrived to the birth center at 3 am until our daughter's arrival at 8:02 pm, Rachel was a beacon of strength and expertise. Despite the challenges of a long labor with unusual contraction patterns due to our baby's positioning, Rachel's knowledge and intuition were invaluable. She skillfully guided me through various positions to alleviate discomfort and promote progress, ultimately leading to a safe delivery despite the odds stacked against us.

Rachel's encouragement and nurturing demeanor during my labor provided immeasurable comfort during moments of fear and uncertainty. Her constant massages and attentive care, especially during intense back labor, demonstrated her dedication and compassion beyond measure!

In addition to her exceptional support during labor, Rachel provided incredible prenatal and postpartum care! Throughout my pregnancy, she was attentive and responsive, always quick to answer my questions and provide reassurance. Rachel's guidance extended beyond mere support; she led our family through a Spinning Babies class and even visited me the morning I went into early labor to provide body work, demonstrating her commitment to my well-being throughout the entire journey!

Following the birth, Rachel continued to be a steadfast source of support for our family. She reached out regularly to check in on us, offering guidance and encouragement as we navigated the early days of parenthood.

We cannot thank Rachel enough for her instrumental role in bringing our precious daughter into the world under challenging circumstances. Her expertise, kindness, and support were truly a blessing during one of the most profound experiences of our lives. Rachel’s unwavering dedication and compassionate care truly set her apart as a doula of exceptional caliber!

Finding the right Doula has made all the difference in the world, especially for a first time mom like myself! I cannot thank her enough for how she helped me and my husband through a difficult birth, bringing so much light and support through the whole process. She's very experienced,  knowledgeable and does great hands on work to help try and get you and your baby into a good position!

My husband and I chose to go with a birthing center instead of a hospital for our first birthing experience - glad I did, shout out Stone Oak Birthing Center! It turned out well in the end, but I had a very long labor. My baby was not in a ideal position and labor kept stalling. Rachel was there for us through the whole thing and worked with me doing SO much body work to get my baby into a better position and labor to keep going. I am someone with a medical background myself and while I can't say for sure, I'm convinced that without her work and support I would have likely ended up with an emergency C-Section. She was instrumental in me being able to bring my daughter into the world the way I wanted. She helped support us after we brought our daughter home by finding us resources and support when our daughter needed extra help. For her love and support I will be greatful for the rest of my life.

When looking for a doula I was so nervous about finding someone who truly could help me during birth. My midwife highly recommended Rachel so I decided to inquire about her. As soon as I met Rachel I felt so comfortable and could just recognize her kindness, care and her willingness to hear about my dream birth experience. On the day of my birth, Rachel went above and beyond with her skills and knowledge. I felt comfortable and empowered by her support. Overall, working with Rachel was such a great experience and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect doula!

I cannot recommend Rachel enough! I knew from the moment that I first spoke to her over the phone that she was the Doula for me. She attentively listened to my hopes and concerns for a VBAC home birth with compassion and empathy. Her expertise and knowledge of pregnancy and birth made me feel confident that we would make a great team and that I would be in safe hands. I always felt valued and encouraged with her. I never felt like just another client, but always someone who was important and cared for. The day of the birth, Rachel supported me tremendously through labor and held my hands as I birthed my baby. I knew the Lord had put her in my life for a reason. Rachel is such a kind, generous, and thoughtful women who genuinely has a passion for what she does. I am so honored to have had her during my pregnancy, my birth, and postpartum.

Rachel was and is one of the greatest blessings to our family during this season. Prior to the birth of our son, she was intentional to gently educate us and prepare us in ways that were a tremendous help. During the birth, she was able to help me labor and get into positions based on my pain that not only helped with pain but also progressed labor and get our baby in the optimal position. The nurses said had it not been for Rachel, I most likely would have torn much worse- I only had a 1st degree tear. We are so so thankful for all of Rachel's time, humility, and intentionality to meet us where we were and help us meet our precious baby boy!! I cannot imagine laboring again without her and can't recommend her enough!

When I first found out I was pregnant my sister said the one thing I must do is get a doula. I never had a child before, but I thought she was crazy. I thought I only wanted my mom and partner and they would be enough to get me through delivery. Boy was I wrong and I am glad I listened to my sister! Rachel was my sister's doula and she raved about her so much I had to have her!! ??

Throughout my pregnancy Rachel coached me on how to prepare for delivery. I planned to have a natural birth so I was paying attention to everything and doing all the exercises she taught me every visit.

During my labor Rachel was the only person I wanted! Funny how I thought it would be my mom and partner but it wasn't. It was the woman that knew every aspect of birthing, when to move, when to breathe, when to take a sip of water! Her presence was so calming, her body moved with mine and she just knew what to do to calm my mind and get me to focus on the most important thing...getting my baby in my arms.

I cannot thank Rachel enough for just being Rachel! Sounds corny but this experience was so incredible because of the person she is and the woman she brings out in you! Having a natural birth was empowering and I truly believe I couldn't have done it without her!!

I truly could not recommend Rachel enough!! We had the best experience with her as our doula. I first saw her when I was a little over 20 weeks pregnant and she set me up perfectly with resources to help my body and mind prepare for pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. My husband and I'm attended her spinning babies class and learned different positions to relax my body and help baby get in the best positioning. We used these positions during labor which significantly helped the process of baby descending and getting in the right position for birth! Besides her wealth of knowledge and expertise in her craft, she has the most calm and loving demanor, exactly what you want in your birthing space. I had a long early labor that lasted over 3 days and she took the time to come to our house each day to provide much needed support both physically and emotionally through body work, homemade snacks, and words of affirmation. She knows how to advocate for your needs and provide comfort and encouragement throughout pregnancy and labor. She has been a true blessing to our family in this journey of bringing our second child into this world. Doulas are essential, and Rachel is the best one you could ask for!

Rachel was amazing, she helped me in ways that I didn't even know I needed help. She was so thoughtful and present throughout my pregnancy and labor. My birth story would look very different if I didn't have her as my Doula. I can not recommend her enough.

There are not enough words to express our gratitude for Rachel. Rachel has been there for both my pregnancy journeys and the births of our children. The guidance, resources and care that she has given not only me, but also my husband have prepared us to be informed and as ready as we could be for baby’s birth and postpartum.

She has mentored me to have a mindset and confidence that I could do a natural birth. In the moments when I was scared or even physically uncomfortable, her loving care helped me to be vulnerable and share what I was going through. She talked me through it all and helped me get through each wave. Her voice was always in my head of what I need to do, or I can do this, I was made for this. I had both my children at a hospital and I was able to follow my birth plans both times. If it wasn’t for Rachel preparing us with knowing what we may encounter at the hospital, what they may ask us or offer us, and then us knowing what we wanted / she knew the questions to ask us so when we got to the hospital we felt confident.

We consider Rachel family and I can’t imaging giving birth without her. She gave me confidence that I didn’t know I needed to be the mom I am today.

We are so grateful we chose Rachel as our doula for this birth. Her strong value system, wide breadth of knowledge, and encouraging attitude were an immense blessing. My husband felt supported in his role during the birth by Rachel as well and was extremely glad we had chosen her, as she truly understands how positioning of both mother and baby impact the progress of labor. I was grateful for her patience and support as we navigated some tricky situations coming up to the birth that could have lead us down a path for our birth we did not necessarily want. We were so blessed to have Rachel as our doula, and we would recommend her to anyone looking for a truly wonderful doula.

I have had the privilege of Rachel being my birth doula for both of my pregnancies. She is so well educated and always building out her toolbox to provide clients with the best information. She is kind and empathetic and understands the weight of the decisions we may face. We have laughed together and cried together. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for an experienced and kind (but a strong advocate) to walk with them through and/or after pregnancy!

When I found out that I was expecting my fifth child, I felt I was going to need the help of a doula that I could really trust. Someone that could really care for my life and my baby's life, someone with the knowledge to support and advice in the worst scenario.

Rachel has a genuine love for life and families; she was there for me every time I needed her, she always supported my needs and gave words of encouragement and affirmation. It was always a joy to receive her at home!

We are so grateful to find her! Walking with her made the difference in my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I didn't't feel I was walking this path alone but with a great human being on my side and with the proper professional care that I needed.

Rachel is simply fantastic. She has significant personal and professional experience and an intuitive nature and ability to bring just the right energy one needs in a particular moment.

As a first time mom planning a home birth, I was unfamiliar with the birthing process and had little experience with pregnancy/labor/postpartum/etc. Rachel offered hands on knowledge and ideas as a certified Spinning Babies educator, general education and resources related to childbirth and postpartum, and helpful guidance to prepare and plan for a home birth.

Aside from Rachel’s help with prenatal education and birth planning, she was a crucial member of my birthing team and I truly do not believe I could have home birthed successfully without her. She was a grounding presence throughout my birth and offered continuous support in the ways I needed to help me progress and maintain a strong and positive mindset.

My husband and I had such a positive experience with Rachel and we consider her not only a wonderful doula but also a friend. We recommend her without hesitation - she is the best!

Hello there my name is Amorette I am 30 years old and I praise God for his working hands through Rachel! Rachel helped my trust our Lord in his beautiful gift of a woman's body to endur the pain and at the same time experience so much joy and love of life in that pain. Rachel helped me recieve my fourth baby by  giving me so many tools of how to work through contractions she prepared my mind spiritually with a beautiful read, she prepared my husband and I with knowledge of how the body works and how the baby moves through and out of the body. During my last trimester she helped me overcome pain coming from my ligaments in my pelvis by strengthening different muscles resting and stretching. Rachel has always been a text or a call away with a prompt response. Rachel also became a trusting friend and brought so much comfort and because of that I was able to accept and overcome the fear I developed at the birth of my third baby. I clinged onto epidural because that was all I knew for comfort and I didn't want that to happen again. I knew I needed someone to help guide me through my birth and that someone was Rachel! She has even been there for me with open arms and gifts to get me through my postpartum. Thank you so much Rachel you've been a true gift from God to me!

We had a roller coaster of a pregnancy and birth journey. Nothing went the way we had imagined. Just when we had a plan, it would change. Rachel was there through every step with a calm and compassionate spirit. Her knowledge and experience with everything thrown at us gave us the security and confidence that we would bring our son earthside safely no matter what. From body balancing exercises to birth plan prep to how to connect with your partner during labor, she truely covers all the bases required to have a positive birth experience. Ultimately, we ended up having a Caesarian birth, but thankfully Rachel was able to join us in the OR to take the most treasured photos we have from that day.

She also helped me work through the transition of being a full-time business owner to being a full-time mom. The identity shift and the feelings that came with it were bigger than I was expecting, and she took time every visit to nurture my emotional well-being. And she gives the best hugs, too!

And now that we have a happy, healthy little boy, she continues to give support. From answering frantic texts about all the things to sending sweet notes just to check in, she feels like another part of our family. We are forever grateful for her and wouldn’t have wanted to take this journey with anyone else!

Words can't describe how grateful my wife and I were to have Rachel as our Doula. We were introduced to her through San Antonio Birth Doulas when my wife and I found our that our daughter was in breach position. We both felt a little lost, but Rachel made us feel confident that we could turn our baby and she took her time to help teach us exercises to encourage out baby to flip. Thankfully, our baby did turn, however our trials were just beginning. My wife started going into labor, but it was not producing any cervical change, it was Prodromal labor. Rachel was with us for 2 whole days while she was going through all of her labor pains, helping her to cope and motivating us both. There were days where we really felt hopeless, and if we didn't have her, I don't know what we would have done. She ended up being in labor for 5 days before she finally gave birth, and Rachel was there with us too for the delivery and continued to support us and provide us with important knowledge. Unfortunately, the hospital rudely dismissed her after the birth, but she maintained a professional appearance. We felt very uncomfortable with the whole situation and how she was treated. Rachel had such an impact on the birth of our first child, we wanted to make a video for her to show our appreciation. You can watch the video on our YouTube channel: "Nahiely Pinky"

If you hire Rachel to be your doula, you can be sure she will put your birth priorities first and help you to achieve the birth that you desire. She's very experienced and works tirelessly for her clients and makes sure to help them every step of the way.

I’ve started and deleted the intro to this review about 15 times because words can’t describe how pivotal of a role Rachel played in my second birth. I met Rachel after my chiro and my midwife had both given her name on a list of doulas they had worked with and liked. This was my second pregnancy and I had a very rough 42 hour labor with 3.5 hours of pushing for my first in the peak of COVID with just my husband and I in the delivery room. I wanted this pregnancy and delivery to be totally different. That is where Rachel came in, she was exactly what I needed she is not only a wealth of knowledge and I truly believe she played a pivotal role in my second labor only being 5 hours but she also offers a maternal presence. Rachel has a way about her in which she can so perfectly offer a listening ear when needed and also provide information and support about all things pregnancy and labor. I always felt 100% support from Rachel throughout my pregnancy for my birth to be exactly what I wanted it to be. If I wanted an induction, Rachel was offering me tips, if I wanted an epidural Rachel was talking me through positions but when I decided to decline an induction Rachel was onboard and calmed my fears, when I decided I wanted to wait as long as possible she helped me in preparing. Rachel is exactly what every doula should be she made my birth about me, my husband and our new baby. She played one of the most important roles in the room making sure the nurses and hospital staff listened to our wishes and gently suggesting and guiding me to different positions but somehow she did this all while making it feel like it was just my husband and I. She held my hand when I needed it while my husband was applying counter pressure, she got me water and cool towels without me having to think about asking or verbalize that need. I only hope Rachel will be at the birth (if she desires) of all our subsequent children, I honestly can’t imagine now not having her.

I can't even put into words how much of an impact Rachel made on my wife's birth experience. We planned a home birth, but had to switch to hospital birth last minute. Hospital nurses are not the most accepting of dulas so this can make things extremely challenging. I called Rachel at 2am the night my wife went into labor and she answered the phone in a happy mood and met us at the hospital right away. Rachel was A+ at getting the nurses in a friendly mood then respectfully controlling the room in a way that allowed my wife to do more than just lay on her back and push. She kept the energy positive and always had something new we could try to progress the labor. One thing that was extremely important going into birth was that my wife did not want to an epidural. Rachel had our birth plan memorized and when my wife was in her weakest moment and begging for an epidural Rachel helped me buy time from the nurses and coach my wife through the pain. Ultimately we had a natural birth with no epidural. I can only imagine how much more smooth our birth would have been if we had a home birth with Rachel. She's a true pro. She is to the birth experience what Tom Brady is to football. No matter where my wife and I go in life we have decided that we will do everything in our power to make sure we can birth all of our children with Rachel's help.

Rachel was an exceptional doula. She truly made my home birth experience amazing. She helped me during active labor get into positions to move my baby down the birth canal and within 4 hours my baby was born. She had little tricks up her sleeve like using essential oils like clary sage and peppermint when I was nauseous. She made sure I was hydrated and had nourishment and talked me through the painful contractions of transition I experienced after my water broke. She helped me into a side lying release stretch which ended up breaking my water and within 20 min of my water breaking my baby was earthside. When I was pushing she brought a cold cloth to my head and she worked so seamlessly with my midwife. Aside from my wonderful birth experience with Rachel, before my baby was born Rachel was extremely responsive and even was willing to do a private spinning babies class for me due to my husband being active duty in the military and already have a young toddler and no family or friends nearby as we had just moved to Texas within the last year. She came to my house on several occasions for prenatal visits, met my husband and my son, and connected me with resources through the military. Postpartum, Rachel continued to be very responsive if I had any questions and checked in on me. Rachel is not just a special doula but an incredibly special human and I’m forever grateful to have met her and to have access to having her as a part of my birth team as her role was so essential to my entire experience. I truly don’t know if I could’ve made it through a natural home birth without her and our family is forever grateful.

Rachel was amazing from day one. My husband and I are first time parents and decided to search out the help of a doula! We looked at many reviews and found Rachel and knew she was the one! Rachel has a calming presence when she enters the room. We learned a lot from the beginning courses with her. After my husband and I met with Rachel, he said to me "I am so glad we have Rachel." Rachel made our labor experience ten times better than I could have imagined. Oh, and the TENS unit...AMAZING! Our birth plan had changed and she was there to help keep us informed, make knowledgable decisions and have a great birth! My husband and I are so grateful. I can't say enough good things about Rachel and the entire experience!

Let's just say Rachel worked her magic.  I took a spinning babies class with Rachel when I was around 30 weeks pregnant and my baby was in the breech position. Clearly I wanted baby head down.  Rachel came to my house and showed me some great techniques to move baby.  When I went back in for another sonogram baby moved head down.  I am super grateful for Rachel's help, kind demeanor, and magic hands.

Rachel was such a blessing to our entire pregnancy/birth, and to type out all of the ways I will forever be grateful for her is nearly impossible to capture in a review. Simply put, our unmedicated birth center experience would not have been the same without her. She took the time to be available in person and over the phone with constructive suggestions/feedback, which was perfect as a FTM looking for experience and support in making evidence based decisions. The spinning babies class/exercises she introduced us to were an absolute life saver for pregnancy and labor, which contributed to my comfort during pregnancy, baby being in an ideal position for birth, and the successful progression of labor. Rachel was our rock as soon as labor started, helping us through positions, bringing delicious baked goods, and being a calming voice through it all. At both our home and at the birth center, Rachel did not miss a beat supporting us with affirmations, hydration, food, cool rags, and of course a hand to hold through the waves. My husband played a large role in my pregnancy and birth, and Rachel was present for all us, which was very important to me. Rachel has continued to support us through postpartum, which is an entirely new game of breastfeeding and care. l could not imagine another pregnancy without a doula, especially without Rachel.

Rachel was an answered prayer for us. Having her walk us through what to expect from a hospital birth and how to optimize our chances of an unmedicated birth made us feel so much more at ease, especially my husband. I really wanted and benefitted from her expertise with all the spinning babies movements that I could incorporate during pregnancy. Rachel was always just a text or call away and provided every reassurance I needed throughout my pregnancy. We were always so comfortable with Rachel, that it was no surprise that in the hours before we had to decide on a c section, Rachel, my husband and I had the calmest morning just talking while she also coached me through my contractions. Having her company and conversation kept us from worrying that morning, and we feel truly blessed to have had Rachel be part of our birth story.

We had a wonderful time working with Rachel! Her experience with spinning babies, birth hypnosis, the TENS unit, and general knowledge about babies and birth really made her stand out. She was always readily available throughout my pregnancy to answer questions and ease my anxiety, including when I struggled to calmly wait for my baby when I went past my due date. My birth took some unexpected turns but was overall very positive, and Rachel certainly played a role in helping shape that experience.

Rachel is an amazing Doula. She is incredibly kind, thoughtful and educated. She always listened to my concerns and came up with helpful solutions. I was lucky enough to have her as my Doula twice for both of my two children. Rachel was particularly amazing with helping me achieve my goal of having an unmedicated birth both times. Her calm and grounded personality were exactly the support that I needed in the time leading up to and during labor/delivery. She is also very knowledgeable about all things birth and babies, which helped me to feel more confident. I cannot sing her praises enough, she has truly found her calling as a Doula and I am so grateful for the support she has given me.

I had a friend that was going to be my doula for my pregnancy and L&D, and although she was supportive, she couldn't be there for me like an official doula is supposed to be. I shared my struggles and was pointed to Rachel Ogea. Rachel was exactly the kind of support I was looking for and NEEDED. I had come from a traumatic first birth, but still desired an unmedicated second birth. She walked me through many breaking points of fear and stress in my pregnancy. She also is extremely experienced in physical support because she is certified in Spinning Babies. Her massages, positioning assistance, jiggles, and Tens Unit, literally SAVED me going almost 2 weeks past due and through my extremely fast but hard under 2 hour induction. I am happy to report that no epidural was needed and I made it through without any pain management. Rachel's emotional, spiritual, and physical support helped get me through to a very redeeming second L&D experience. It was an honor to be her client and have her be a part of our family's story. Love her with all of my heart, and am heart broken she won't be able to help with my next births because we are moving out of state!

highly recommend. 5/5 stars. yes.

Rachel was such a blessing to our home and new addition to our growing family. She has a true servants heart and I am so thankful that we had her for the birth of our baby. She braught such comfort, peace and encouragement during the most exciting and intense moment of my life thus far. We are forever greatful for Rachel. She sacrificed her time, emotions and body to support me when I felt I couldn't.

We recommend everyone getting connected with San Antonio birth doulas especially if there as lucky to have Rachel as we where.

I would love to continue to have Rachel in our lives and especially for our next baby to come.

THANK YOU SO MUCH RACHEL!!!

WE LOVE YOU!

Rachel was above and beyond what we could've ever expected in a Doula. This was our first and only child so we were obviously nervous with lots of questions. From the first time Rachel and I spoke I felt at ease. She has a calming voice and is very knowledgeable. We learned so much from all the information she shared. It really helped us prepare for delivery. my pregnancy was high-risk and involved various health issues, but Rachel always helped me stay focused and positive. She has soo many tips for the day of delivery too. I HIGHLY recommend Rachel as you bring your little one into the world. She will do her best to make it as smooth of a transition for all involved.

Working with Rachel has been nothing but amazing! As first time parents, my husband and I had a lot of questions and so much unknown. Rachel was ALWAYS available to us, even in the middle of the night she responded to our messages and helped me through an acute pain episode. Rachel came to my house multiple times to help me stretch, offered information about foods to eat/things to do to stimulate labor, set us up with a chiropractor for an adjustment the day before I delivered, and provided a tens unit to help manage labor pain. Rachel sat down with us the night before my induction and went over step by step what the induction would look like, what they would do, etc. which made us feel super comfortable and prepared going into the hospital that next day.
During my labor, Rachel was at my side with essential oils for nausea, repositioning me to get my body ready for the delivery, and even brought a sweet happy birthday sign for the welcoming of our baby boy. She has gone above and beyond to exceed all our expectations of a doula and we are so thankful for everything she did for us!

My labor and delivery story was absolutely saved by Rachel. I wanted a vaginal delivery more than anything and have been having nightmares about having a C-section. She's the number 1 reason why my stalled labor came to completion in a matter of hours. After my labor stalled at 5cm for about 15 hrs, I was given only a few hours before a c-section was the only answer. Rachel came in with a few minutes notice and worked her magic to get me to 10cm after only 3 hrs to then deliver vaginally! She has a light and genuine personality, and will go to work for you hard when it counts. She is very accommodating and quick to respond. I loved working with her! 10/10 recommend for any mom.

When I found out I was pregnant with my first child, I didn't think a doula was completely necessary, but ended up getting virtual support from Rachel anyway. Now, she will be the first person I call when it's time for baby #2.

I have plenty of friends and family who love and support me, but I found that they always managed to interject their own complications or concerns into any conversation about pregnancy and birth. This typically left me feeling nervous and anxious. Having Rachel as my doula gave me a safe place to work through my hopes and fears without judgement or bias.

When I had a question, Rachel provided science-based support. She shared all of the facts, but made it clear that I should choose what was best for me and my family. She was always quick to respond to my inquiries, reached out frequently, and kept in touch via zoom, texts, and phone calls.

During my pregnancy, I felt heard and supported. Rachel talked me through our birth plan and offered suggestions to help manage the pain naturally. When I went into labor, she immediately answered texts and phone calls, and even offered to face time while I was at the hospital.

I am especially grateful that she introduced me to Spinning Babies, which moved my son into the right position and allowed me ti deliver vaginally after being stalled at 9.5 cm for 8 hours.

Rachel was the doula I never knew I needed. I am beyond grateful for her support and I cannot imagine going through another pregnancy without her.

There are only so many words one can use to describe a birth experience like the one I had with Rachel by my side. Coming back from a traumatic C-section experience with my last pregnancy, I was desperate for a natural birth this time around. Despite the nurse on my service in the delivery room forcing me to stay in the bed when I wanted to be up and moving, Rachel adapted and continued to use different pain management techniques with me to keep going without pain meds. She got me in touch with a substitute doula while she was out of town and I was experiencing prodromal labor, which I appreciated. And she kept the emotions in the delivery room at a very peaceful calm level (even though I was screaming with every contraction). She helped me breathe through them, she applied pressure during them, she prayed with me and my husband, and without her I can definitively say I would not have had the positive experience I did with the birth of this rainbow baby. I can't possibly thank you enough, Rachel, for being there. For the flowers you brought each visit, for the frozen dinner after our baby was born, for the help you gave me during labor, for empowering me to make it all the way to the finish line and finally have the redeeming birth experience I'd been praying for. You are one of a kind and I'm so beyond thankful for everything. Words really do no justice to the overwhelming gratitude I feel in my heart every time I look at my baby. He is a constant reminder of the goodness of God, and I wouldn't have had the experience with him I did if it weren't for you. So thank you. A million times, thank you.

Having had two prior birthing experiences that left me anxious and nervous, I knew I needed someone to support us along the way. From our very first meeting with Rachel, I just knew this was going to be a different birth than my first two and we were excited. After each meeting with Rachel, I felt more encouraged and more empowered. An unmedicated labor and the birth plan I wanted seemed more and more possible for me.
Rachel has such a calming, confident presence about her that made it super easy for me to feel at peace and relax around her. I always looked forward to having her over and chatting with her and learning from her. She is a wealth of knowledge and we were absolutely blessed to have her as our doula. And because of her, I did have an unmedicated birth and my husband felt confident how to advocate on my behalf. I just wish she was my doula for my first two as well!

Rachel has been such a wonderful support system during my pregnancy and postpartum recovery. She has so much experience as a mother, military wife, and professional doula. Honestly, this lady is educated. She takes her profession very seriously and has the credentials to back that up. She’s well-rounded, too. Just ask to see the beautiful birth pictures she can take for you. During my pregnancy, she has played the part of a therapist, mentor, and birthing expert. In other words, she has successfully “mothered the mother” and I’m so grateful to have had her around.

Rachel was fantastic! My wife has had a fairly complicated history with her first two pregnancies and Rachel made sure she understood all the details so she knew how to help us advocate for our third pregnancy and to be aware of thing that may be triggers. She helped us right from day one with understanding what options we had available to us that no one else had shared. She supported our personal preferences and encouraged us to speak up for what we wanted. Her presence throughout the pregnancy was so reassuring. The exercises, stretches, and strategies she taught us really helped my wife through labor and a speedy recovery. No narcotics, no epidural, no tearing. Mom and baby were more aware and alert immediately following the birth and recovery was so much smoother than our first two. Not to mention, she helped me understand my roll as a husband and how best to advocate for my wife and son.

Rachel was everything you could hope for in a doula and more! She is kind, courteous, thoughtful, caring, supportive, professional, and a wealth of knowledge ?? She provided so many helpful tips and methods throughout my pregnancy, labor (TENS unit!), breastfeeding (battling mastitis), and postpartum journeys! She was an invaluable resource for my family as we prepared for and welcomed our 3rd baby, but even more than that, she became a trusted friend and mother figure to me. I cannot recommend Rachel enough!!!

I couldn't have wished for a more supportive and kind doula than Rachel! Rachel helped me feel prepared and confident before birth with breathing techniques, bodywork to get baby into a good position, laboring positions, and ways my husband can support my comfort. When the day came, her presence was everything I needed to have the birth I had hoped and planned for! Rachel goes above and beyond for her clients and I never want to birth again without her by my side!

My experience with Rachel can only be explained as prefect. This was my third child with my midwife and my first time to have a doula. I only wish I could go back and have Rachel with me for my first two pregnancies and labors! I truly believe my labors would've been significantly shorter like my third and that I would've been more knowledgeable in things to use that Rachel is so educated and experienced in. Such as Spinning Babies, TENS machine (which IS A MUST use!), and essential oil knowledge for relaxation and pre and postpartum. I believe Rachel has 7 kids. So she knows what she is doing and talking about! She teaches from experience. Rachel truly has a heart to do this and it's evident through her knowledge,  sacrifice of her time and life, and her kind and sweet spirit! If you are considering having a doula at your labor, you can stop considering it and go with Rachel! I would HIGHLY recommend everyone and anyone to her and hope you choose to as well!

Our Doula, Rachel, was incredible & we will forever be grateful for her guidance & coaching throughout our entire pregnancy and birth. She helped us achieve our birth goals, and I know it would not have been possible without her coaching & guidance. She helped me focus on what I needed to do through the entire birth. I cannot recommend Rachel enough! Thank you for everything!

Rachel was absolutely terrific to work with during my pregnancy into postpartum journey. She is kind and compassionate and really care about the women she works with. She built a solid trusting relationship with me and listened to understand my previous childbirth experience and what were my goals for pregnancy and labor for my second child. She provided resources and connected me to other providers like prenatal massage therapist and lactation consultant, which was really helpful. I had an extremely positive childbirth experience with her support and advocacy. She provided me the tools and techniques to be able to have a natural birth at a hopsital. She helped me understand my options as well as deescelated my anxiety surrounding labor. She was readily available and responsive to my questions througholut my journey. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to have Rachel as part of my birth experience.

Goodness, where do I begin? I hope to convey how much Rachel truly means to our family but I'll start off by saying there aren't enough characters to express my love and gratitude for her. From the moment my husband and I first met her, we knew she was the perfect person to support us as we prepared to welcome our sweet son. After each prenatal visit, I left our conversation feeling more empowered, educated and excited for labor than before. She lovingly shared her wisdom not only as a doula but as a mother of 7 children.

When I went into labor (18 days early) she showed up promptly and provided such a peace and strength that was present without words. She quietly rubbed my back, reassured me when I doubted myself, and relieved my nausea with essential oils. She stood back to allow my husband to be the main support. In order to limit the amount of people attending my son's birth I was unable to invite a photographer. Rachel stepped up and took some of the most beautiful photos I have ever seen. Looking at them, you'd never know I didn't have a professional photographer present.

Rachel followed up with me and continued to check in weeks after I had given birth. We had a virtual visit and we discussed my son's birth and she filled in the pieces that weren't as clear in my memory. She not only encouraged me but my husband as well. I don't know what we would have done had we not had Rachel's support. Rachel and her mini fan are unstoppable. I can't recommend her enough. She is divinely gifted and we will certainly request her services for my future pregnancies.

I moved from another state with my husband and two small children in the middle of my pregnancy and had prepared to deliver alone. Then I found Rachel, and she was a blessing in disguise. She was amazing. She provided me with information and resources, Antepartum. She was encouraging and listened to me while in labor. After I developed complications, she returned to my side, no questions asked, and advocated for me when I felt discouraged. I can not recommend her enough. If I had to do it all over again, I would choose Rachel????

Rachel made my pregnancy and homebirth amazing. Her motherly presence is very calm and nurturing. Rachel is a great listener and tries her very best to fulfill your needs. If you have an issue she will do her best to resolve it, and she has many tools to do so! Rachel loves what she does and it truly shows. Under her care I felt safe and comforted. I often say that I don't know how I could have succeeded in my homebirth without her, and I truly mean that. She is such a caring soul and made my birth beautiful (and fun!) I cannot recommend her enough.
