We were so pleased to have Audrey assist with the birth of our son in 2009.  Her steadfastness and calming presence helped my husband and me navigate labor ahd have the birthing experience we had both hoped for.  Audrey knew when to suggest that I try something new during my labor.  Her suggestions were invaluable at several key moments when I was starting to become physically overwhelmed.  At these moments, she kept me on the path to the natural birth I had hoped for by strearing me away from doubt or fear and toward comfort and support.  Thanks to Audrey, I never spent a moment of labor worrying about the nurses or doctors, I simply listened to her and my husband and let them deal with the hospital staff.  She allowed my husband to focus on me and remain with me when I needed him.  We felt as though she was there supporting both of us and helping him help me in the most effective way.  Her experience, knowledge, strength, and gentleness, were tremendous assets to have on our side.  When I am pregnant again, Audrey will be one of the first people I call.  I can highly recommend her to expectant mothers looking for a wonderful doula to support them.

For my the birth of my first child, Audrey provided strength, encouragement and confidence. With Audrey's reassurance and guidance, I was able to acheive my goal of a natural (drug-free) childbirth. Audrey believed in me when I wasn't even sure if I believed in myself. It was a wonderful experience and my husband and I have Audrey to thank for that.

The second time around, I had complete confidence in my abilities to birth naturally. The birth of our second child was a bit more chaotic. Labor took an unexpected turn and suddenly there were a dozen or more nurses focused on my baby. Audrey was the only person in the room who was focused on *me*.  Her calming presence became my focal point. When I was sent into the OR and Audrey and my husband were not allowed, Audrey immediately turned her attention to my husband and focused on how she could help him. Fortunately this story ends with another natural childbirth, with both my husband and Audrey by my side!

Audrey is wonderful and we can't thank her enough!

Audrey was our doula when our son was born in July 2009, and we have nothing but great things to say about her! She has a great mix of professionalism and personalization. I was augmented, and Audrey was at the hospital with us for over 12 hours. With the exception of her getting some dinner, I don't think she ever stopped moving or took a break. She was constantly doing something for us, whether it was massaging my back, checking in with my husband, or getting me blankets. Audrey was very creative at positioning me during labor - I was even able to push in a squatting position with an epidural. When my husband and I are pregnant with our second, Audrey will definitely be one of our first calls.
