I am so thankful I decided to hire Leah as my doula! I was very determined to have a vbac and wanted as much support as possible to do it without intervention. Leah came to our house to meet our family and give us a birth education refresher ( my toddler loved her and was so sad when she left)! As labor neared, we kept in touch about contractions and progress. She was so patient! I had 3 nights of prodromal labor before finally going into active labor very quickly the 4th night. She met us at the hospital and was very patient with me as I was a bit grumpy. The hospital floor was busy that night, my room was hot, and I had lots of nurses trying to get an iv in. Leah helped make the room and bathroom a relaxing space. She had lots of ideas and gadgets to help as I progressed through labor! She had a mini fan that saved the day!!  She also helped advocate for my wishes in privacy when I had unwanted hospital workers in the bathroom with me. She stayed by my side while I was stitched up and kept a close eye on the baby for me when baby was evaluated. She didn't leave us until we moved to our room, and it gave my husband the chance to go to the cafeteria for breakfast after being up all night! She was even so kind as to snap a few pictures for us that I treasure! She also came to visit postpartum and I appreciated having someone to debrief with about the birth process. It was nice to be able to ask her questions and talk through it! I am so thankful I decided to hire her! 10 out of 10 recommend!

I haven’t stopped talking about my wonderful doula Leah and what a perfect fit she was for me and my family. If you are on the fence about hiring a doula, DO IT! It is so worth it! Leah is the best at what she does and will help you every step of the way.

Her care far surpassed my expectations.

She was totally committed to providing a beautiful and peaceful birth!

Leah’s techniques helped me so much during labor. Leah intuitively knew when I needed counter pressure or a change in position, which really helped me ride out contractions. Her gentle spirit, encouragement, and calming influence helped me focus and move through the stages of labor smoothly. With Leah’s support, I was able to birth my baby without pain medication. I don’t think I could have done this without her!

Choosing Leah as my doula was the best decision of my pregnancy journey!

I treasure her as my doula, and now, my friend!

Leah was the biggest support and help I could imagine from just 9 weeks pregnant all the way to postpartum. She not only answered questions I may of had, but explained reasonings behind it and even gave me additional options or info on the subject. When it came to birth, Leah made my experience so cozy and intimate. She hung string lights and affirmations in my hospital room, had an oil diffuser and music going, and gave me consistent foot and back massages. I knew I was safe during my birth and that someone was looking out for me and my family, along with my birth plan. Leah worked with my midwives and staff during birth to make sure I had the best possible care and that no decision was made without my consent. Leah also supported me postpartum with a house visit and helped me with my nursing struggles. My baby is now 10 months old, and we have been able to breastfeed the whole time! Leah was completely supportive and respectful of all of my decisions. I would recommend Leah to every single pregnant woman out there.
