So many wonderful things to say about Brandi! She was my doula for my first birth and that was no easy feat. It was a 40 hour labor with close to 5 hours of pushing. Lots of fighting on my behalf to have this baby vaginally. I had him at the hospital and she did everything she could to help me get the birth that I wanted. She was there for it all and I so appreciated her support and fighting on my behalf when I couldn’t. You won’t regret having her be your doula! She’s so sweet and willing to do whatever is needed. I also got a really great friend out of the deal. :)

Brandi is the most down to earth and realistic doula. She was consistent with her communication with my midwife which helped take the pressure off of me when I was consumed with paying attention to my body. She was a huge help to my husband. Her humble demeanor enabled my husband to fulfill his irreplaceable role and not feel replaceable or in the way during an event that was foreign to him. Brandi would take the time to explain why my midwife did certain things he didn't understand when the midwife was focused on me. Prior to the active labor, Brandi was a reliable cornerstone while I was dialating weeks before my delivery, rediculously uncomfortable, and consistently having contractions. Her personal experience with her six kids bought encouragement. She prayed with me, laughed with me and listened. There's nothing this woman can't relate with and her compassion ran deep. You can't surprise her because she's been there in some way. When you're dealing with a life changing event, you want to feel empowered and confident. Brandi did exactly that for me.

Brandi was life saving. She walked me through stages of labor, signs to look for, helped me count contractions because I was doing a terrible job at it.  made me food, forced me to drink water because I wasn't doing it myself. She was over all just wonderful company to have with me she had perfect amount of professionalism while being just a comforting presence when I needed it. She seemed to understand when quiet was needed or a distracting conversation from the constant pain of labor. Brandi showed up to be with me about six hours before the midwives got to my house and I know I never would have made it that long without her. I had a very long labor and eventually went to the hospital where brandi came with me again to continue showing support and was willing to advocate for me with the nurses. I wouldn't ever go through labor again without her support. I will suggest her to anyone ever looking for a doula because there can't possibly be a better one out there.

Brandi has attended both of my sons' births and I can't imagine giving birth without her!

My first was planned to be out-of-hospital with a midwife, but I was diagnosed with preeclampsia during labor and had to go to the hospital. It ended up being long, complicated, and both pitocin and an epidural were medically necessary. Brandi was with me for almost the whole forty hours, helping me make decisions as things came up and push through when it was hard and I was exhausted. Despite things not going according to plan, she is much of why I felt strong and successful after that experience.

My second was also planned out-of-hospital with a midwife, and this time there were no complications so I succeeded. The last hour was very intense as the midwife broke my water and things went very very fast from there. Brandi laid on the bed holding my hands and talking me through each contraction. I can't even imagine getting through that hour without her. She caught my baby--her nephew--with the midwife's supervision.

Brandi is a sweetheart, a solid and strong presence, and very good at what she does. She's been a vital part of my birth team and part of what has made birth a positive thing in my mind, even with one complicated and one intense labor. You cannot go wrong having her by your side when bringing a little one into the world, whether at the hospital or at home.

This testimonial is incredibly hard for me to give, as I'm afraid I cannot adequately express how amazing Brandi truely is as a doula! I have to say first, that Brandi is my sister, so I have my personal experience with her as my doula, as well as I have attended other births she helped in, and we happen to share friends who have expressed their opinions to me in regards to Brandi's services at their births. So, have seen her in action from the outside and believe my perspective of her doula abilities come from many different angles. Brandi was my doula at both of my births, and I would never have it any other way! What makes her so talented at what she does are 3 things: 1. She is well exercised in her experience as a doula, and therefore has so many helpful tools for all different kinds of birthing outcomes. 2. She is very in tune with the mother from DAY ONE - the MINUTE the mother starts to express her feelings about the pregnancy, labor, birth, etc.... she is keeping a mental note and planning. She does NOT forget!! 3. She seems to have a remarkable gift for sensing the needs of both the mother and the father during the labor and birth, and therefore is helpful in administering the proper care to both parties. Because she is all three of these she is also very helpful in making sure that the birthing plan the parents wish for is followed as closely is possible! She is gentle, kind, and able to keep the atmosphere a place of peace, while at the same time being confident & assertive in the appropriate manor to make things happen when they need to be done! I can not imagine a better doula and feel so blessed to have had her at my births!

I met Brandi years ago in high school and once I became pregnant and found out she was a doula I knew I wanted her with me when I had my son. Soon after the contractions started Brandi was there and didn't leave unless I asked for something. She was incredibly supportive and always had advice or a technique readily available to help with keeping me calm or helping with pain management. Once I hit transition and lost focus Brandi brought me back into focus and helped keep me as calm as I could be until my son was finally here. Her supportive nature, her knowledge and experience were priceless at my birthing experience.

I met Brandi the day I gave birth to my firstborn. I had been laboring for two days when my midwive asked Brandi to come give me some extra support. My husband and I were so exhausted. Brandi came right in and was so sweet and personable. She listened to me, gave me support when I needed, she talked to me, laughed with me, and helped me nurse and recover the following hours after my son's arrival. My husband and I talked for days about how blessed we were to have Brandi in our home for the birth of our firstborn son.

I would highly reccomend Brandi as a birth doula. It is apparent from the first time you meet her that she is so passionate about life and helping women bring precious new life into this world.

Brandi is an incredible doula! I had the most amazing birth experience and I know that without her, it wouldn't have been anything like it was. She was VERY supportive of my decision to have a natural birth in a hospital and did everything in her power to make it happen.
She really paid attention to my needs and always made sure I was comfortable. At every stage of the birth, she was exactly what I needed her to be, whether it was quietly sitting beside me, or keeping cool washcloths on my head. . Needless to say, I had my dream birth. My husband was a little reluctant to pay for the services of a doula and said it seemed unneccesary. However, after the whole experience he understood the purpose and was so thankful to have Brandi there. It took the pressure off of him, and allowed him to give me more support and encouragement. I don't think either of us can picture our next birth without Brandi there!
