Lisa was amazing to have throughout my pregnancy - she was always the first person I'd reach out to when I had questions or concerns. She was thorough and clear when she talked me and my husband through the different parts of pregnancy, our options and our birth plan. Her experience was evident and the happiness and joy she brought to each meeting made me excited as opposed to fearful of what lay ahead. While we didn't have the birth we had planned for, thanks to the planning we did with Lisa, we were able to state what we did and did not want during the c section. Lisa was there post partum to help assure us about sleep, share resources and overall be a positive force as we figured out our parenting style. Grateful is putting it lightly and I wish that every pregnant person has someone like Lisa with them for their journey!

As a first time mom, finding out I was pregnant was both extremely exciting, yet extremely overwhelming at the same time because of all the information out there about pregnancy, labor, delivery, and the fourth trimester. Above all, I wanted to make the best possible decisions for myself and my baby from the very beginning. Through my preliminary research, I found that the use of a doula was a recurring theme among mothers who had positive birth stories. From the moment I met Tia and Lisa, I felt confident that with their help and expertise I could also be a mother who could have a positive birth experience. All throughout my pregnancy I referred to myself as a sponge; soaking up all the knowledge and wisdom Tia and Lisa bestowed onto my husband and I as a result of their combined years of experience and practice as doulas. They were patient and honest with us, keeping full transparency about different options and preferences when it came to planning the birth of our daughter. Tia's calming energy is what kept me centered throughout my labor and delivery. Her knowledge about different positions to use during labor kept mine progressing forward, and her knowledge of different pain management techniques allowed me to achieve the natural, unmedicated birth I had prayed for. She was by my side the entire time I labored and until after I brought my daughter earthside. Ultimately, Tia and Lisa made me feel loved, honored, valued, and respected as a birthing woman. Birth is an extremely intimate experience and I am so thankful to have had them both a part of mine.

There aren't enough words to express how grateful my husband and I are that we had Lisa as my doula.

Aside from the incredible support - both mentally and physically that Lisa was, her vast knowledge about every single topic to do with pregnancy, postpartum and more is so impressive and saved me so many times.

During labor, Lisa knew exactly how to move things along, how to keep me comfortable, and brought us to the hospital in the perfect nick of time to avoid unnecessary interventions.

We will always think back to this experience fondly, thank you Lisa!

This was our first birth and we couldn’t be more thankful that Lisa was our doula!

After the first consultation we knew right away it was a great fit. The in person meetings really helped us mentally prepare and we truly felt like Lisa cared about every detail as we discussed our ideal birth plan. We appreciated her knowledge in all things related to labor and birth– you can tell she is well-seasoned in this because of all the little details that she thinks of and all the different tools she has in her 'Mary Poppins' bag to help with pain management.

During labor she was more than supportive in each moment and she helped make sure the room was at the comfort level we wanted. She always anticipated the next thing and was right by my side helping me manage through every single contraction. Her down to earth and calm presence definitely gave my husband and I peace of mind in each moment.

We labored through the entire night and she was also such a great support to my husband, helping him know what to do to help me, and even getting him coffee and snacks during the early morning.

Her knowledge is abundant and the care and love in each moment is pure. You can truly tell she loves what she does and we would highly recommend Lisa as your doula! 20 out of 10 stars :)

I had 24 hours of back labor and 3 hours of pushing. Lisa was able to be not only a support system to me, but was able to work along side my husband and showed him techniques on how to support me. Lisa stood for hours in the shower helping me with counter pressure and pep talks. She was sopping wet and was still able to continue to help me bring my baby earthside. Lisa was so encouraging, knowledgeable, compassionate and helpful. She walked me through each stage of labor, knew when I needed to reposition and helped me have a wonderful birth I will never forget.

Lisa was an essential part of my pregnancy, birth and postpartum journey. During my pregnancy she was always available to answer questions and checked in on me regularly. For the birth, I ended up being induced and Lisa was there to make the room peaceful (we got so many compliments from nurses on how good the room smelled with essential oils), to guide me through my contractions, help me find ways to find comfort and offer emotional support. When I got my epidural, she helped me move around and offered suggestions on different positions to try out which was extremely helpful since the nurses were not always in the room . It was so nice to have someone constantly there to support me, explain what the nurses were doing and offer ideas for ways my husband could help. Postpartum, Lisa checked in on me and answered all my breastfeeding questions. I cannot imagine not having Lisa with me on the most important day of my life. She is extremely knowledgeable, kind, patient and understanding and we forever be grateful!

Wow, where to begin. My husband and I had been considering working with a doula for some time during my pregnancy but we wheren't sure if the cost was necessary in the beginning. As first time parents we where both pretty nervous, but we hoped our mothers would be able to be with us for our daughter's birth. When they wheren't able to make it we decided to look for a doula and we are so glad we found Lisa. We immidiatly felt the support we where looking for from our first meeting. Her practical and knowledgable approach to the whole process really gave us the confidence we needed. In the end we are so glad our mothers couldn't be there because we wouldn't have wanted to miss working with such a great doula. We contacted Lisa quite late in my pregnancy and she was excelent at every stage of the process. She was always available quickly for any questions we had and provided so much advise, tools, and resources for us along the way. My husband was especially thankful for her support during the long night of my labor since she was there with us the whole time. She also provided tremendous support for us in my early post partum time, coming over to help with things and give us advise about breast feeding and other concerns that came up in the first few weeks. Thank you so much Lisa! We will never forget this part you played in our lives and we're so glad we met you.

As a doula, Lisa is highly knowledgeable, available and dedicated.  As a person, she is wonderful.  Lisa is very reasonably priced for the extremely valuable service she provides.  I would recommend her to all embarking on the pregnancy/labor experience.

My husband and I had our first baby in early August. Lisa was a game changer for the experience and provided some necessary support throughout a amazing, but also challenging experience.  Before the labor, during our meetings, she provided me all of the background information that I needed to make informed medical decisions for the labor and birth plan.  She also helped me prepare my body and mind prelabor, with herbal and body techniques.  She was a wealth of information.   I was under the care of an obgyn, and birthed at Evanston hospital (so fairly medical forward), and Lisa provided me the balance that sometimes countered, sometimes complimented, the medical views which was exactly what I was looking for.  She always handled herself professionally, was forthright and calm, and was a pleasure to my family members--while always making sure that I was number one and taken care of.  Lisa also provided me post-partum services, and followed up with me regularly which was needed and comforting.

I delivered my first baby on September 6th. Lisa Nicole was my doula. I would highly recommend her to any pregnant mamas. From pregnancy to delivery, Lisa was right there with me. I don’t know how I could have done this journey without her - physically and emotionally. Lisa is kind, gentle, extremely knowledgeable, and strong (like physically strong which was so appreciated for my back labor).

I was planning a home birth and ended up with a C Section. She was at home with me for 13 hours and then 4 more hours at the hospital.

Lisa will always hold a VERY special place in my heart and words cannot express how much gratitude I have for her and her craft. From me, my husband and my baby, Thank you Lisa.

I am so grateful and glad I was able to partner with Lisa for my pregnancy. She is an amazing doula. I could not have done this without her. Although, my labor and birth had its set of complications, her support throughout created a memorable experience. Which is ultimately what I was looking for. She was extremely knowledgeable in many areas. Not only was she available during my pregnancy and labor, she also followed up with baby and I for the weeks after which I appreciated so much. I highly recommend her. I whole heartedly felt she loves what she does. She did everything she could to make me feel safe, comfortable and educated. From books, to website links, text messages, calls, worksheets. She went above and beyond for sure. If you're looking for someone to advocate for you, guide you and be there for you when you need it most, she is it.

Lisa has been supportive, a good listener, and always willing to help. I couldn't have gotten as far as I did during my birth without her. I was able to labor with pitocin without an epidural until I absolutely needed it which was one of my birth goals. During my pregnancy Lisa was always there to answer questions or just listen. She reassured me when I was questioning what was normal and always encouraged me to stay educated on the various aspects of pregnancy and labor. If I have more children I will definitely be giving Lisa a call and reccomend her highly.

Lisa was such a powerful presence at the time Of my pregnancy, birth and, afterbirth. Lisa has wealth of knowledge that she guided me through prior to birth, birth and afterbirth so I can mentally and physically prepare. Lisa guidance gave me peace in my mind when I was having doubts about going for a vbac. She was there throughout in my pre term labor and was here right away in the middle of the night with so much support, had to transfer to hospital unfortunately and had so much support from Lisa emotionally after the birth even thru calls because of covid restrictions. Had an amazing experience with Lisa regret I never had a doula for my other pregnancies wish I knew how much of a back bone they can be. ??

Lisa is an angel sent to us by my wife's late grandmother Elisabetta. She helped us tremendously before birth, especially during the 22 hours from initial contractions to us finally meeting our son after midnight. She met us the same evening we left the hospital for support at home. Amazing soul. I don't know how my wife and I would have managed without her. Thank you Lisa for all that you've done for us and continue to do for all.

I don't even know how to accurately put into words how much courage and confidence Lisa gave me. I decided to do a natural home birth around 30 weeks and I had never had one before. I, of course, had a bunch of questions and fears. Lisa was always available to answer questions and provide some article for me to read. But the most important thing she explained to me was that knowledge rids of fear. So everything I was "scared" of, I looked up what to do if that situation were to arise. By the time I was due I felt more than prepared. Unfortunately, due to quick labor, Lisa was unable to be there with me physically. However, I give her all the credit for the confidence I had to be able to give birth on my own. She's amazing, love her!!

Lisa is a really thoughtful and knowledgeable doula! She really helped me navigate my pregnancy and was an amazing comfort during labor. My husband was apprehensive about hiring a doula and now he tells everyone they need one LOL. I can't imagine giving birth again without her!

If anyone in Illinois is looking for a doula, I fully wholeheartedly recommend Lisa!
She was there for my sons birth until the end providing amazing physical, emotional, and informational support. I honestly cannot say enough good things about her! She is so easy to talk to and I felt an instant connection (very important for an expectant mama to be able to vibe with her doula!) Even though it was short notice when I told her I was laboring, she rushed immediately super prepared with essential oils, a rebozo, tens unit, print out sheets, you name it!

Lisa was more than open to try anything and everything for pain relief.

She honestly made my birth a forever memorable experience and now I have such a fond memory of jasmine essential oil since its what she suggested and I stuck with for the remainder of my contractions. Near the end of my labor when the contractions were getting too much to bear she gave me the most beautiful affirmations that helped me get through the roughest part.

Every woman needs a doula at their birth regardless of how you choose to give birth whether itd be at home, hospital, birth center or however you choose to bring your baby to earthside. Lisa is the doula you need at your birth! If I were to have another baby she will definately hands down be my go to doula again
