Britt was a fantastic support for us at birth. She met us for the first time in the hospital as a back-up when our original doula was unavailable, but it was a seamless transition. Right off the bat, she demonstrated that she had thoroughly reviewed the notes from our original doula. She let me lead and supported my decisionmaking throughout the whole process, but didn't hesitate to offer recommendations for laboring and positioning whenever I looked to her for guidance. Britt was so prepared to meet my potential needs at every stage - peppermint oil, chapstick, a handheld fan! - and not having to think about those little things helped make laboring as comfortable as possible. She provided such positive reinforcement during pushing, captured beautiful pictures of the birth, and also stepped out right afterwards to give me and my partner some time to ourselves before coming back in with us and making sure we were all set for the night in terms of food, expectations, support, etc. I really appreciated how Britt maintained such a kind, reassuring presence throughout, and read the room so perfectly to step up or back at times. Having her there to accompany us really allowed me and my partner to proceed confidently with the low intervention birth we had hoped for, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Britt to anyone else seeking a doula to buoy them through this experience in a positive, gentle, and capable manner.

Britt is A+ birth doula (and I am a tough critic). Britt is well educated/ resourceful in the field if birth and intrigued by knowing more about you and your circumstances. I especially appreciated her extensive knowledge and practical application of all things related to the complex birthing process. She is also compassionate and a strong communicator. I felt heard and informed at each step of the process. Her role as a doula is clearly a passion and her commitment shows. This is not a clock in/clock out job for her, Britt goes above and beyond to ensure you are well served, well educated and well loved through your pregnancy.

Britt was amazing to work with and an answer to prayer. As a first-time mom, I had numerous questions that would pop up and I always felt comfortable asking them. I originally told Britt my wish was to have an "all natural" birth in the hospital but that I was open-minded if anything were to come up where intervention was absolutely necessary. By the time due date had come (and gone), I felt equipped and empowered by everything Britt had taught and showed us. From surrendering to the process, to relaxing and trusting my body, I felt I was physically ready and in the best headspace. A couple days after due date, I found myself in early labor that morning. I labored at home and was in communication with Britt all day. That evening things started picking up and although I was in denial, I was in active labor by midnight. Britt decided to come over to evaluate where we were at. She was encouraging and calming as contractions started getting intense. We checked into the hopsital and they offered to checked my dilation. Britt once again was encouraging and informed me of my decisions I could make for myself, that I didn't have to do anything I didn't feel comfortable with. I was at 8.5cm by this point. The next hour or two flew by and I started pushing. Britt continued to help me breathe and keep my focus. As the nurses instructed me to lay on my back, Britt was an amazing advocate and kindly let them know that I wished to labor on my side due to back complications. I was so grateful for how informative yet respectful she was towards the nurses during such a whirlwind. I pushed for 30 minutes and our baby girl was here. I'm forever grateful that Britt had documented that moment so we can forever reflect back on the photos and videos. I genuinely don't believe my expereince would have gone as smooth as it did without Britt, the knowledge she equipped us with and all of her encouragement along the way. I could go on but all-in-all, I would highly recomend Britt.

I decided to hire a doula during the third trimester because I still felt unprepared for birth after my husband and I finished our online birthing series. I chose to work with Britt because she emphasized a love of teaching in her bio, and I desired to be as informed as possible going into labor. Britt came to our apartment and showed us birthing positions, helped us deicded on birth preferences, and shared information about her own delivery experience during COVID times. She made us feel comfortable and ready to take on this new experience. When I went into labor, she stayed in communication with us until it was time for her to come to the hospital. Britt encouraged me to change positions every time I felt too comfortable and applied counterpressure as a form of pain panagement. She helped my husband to feel empowered as my birth partner by teaching him the same counterpressure techniques. After delivery, Britt brought Chick-fil-a to the delivery room before returning home to her family. I firmly believe that I would not have been able to achieve an unmedicated hospital birth without Britt's help. As my daughter's first birthday approaches, I want to extend my thanks once again. Thank you, Britt, for everything that you have done for our family!

Britt was wonderful. I like her communication style because she answered every question I had and even brought up some things I would've never thought about. She was very reliable and caring. I felt as though I could talk to her about anything.  Just a few examples of how great she is... Our first visit was great, I felt she 100% understood me and my needs by the end of it. She even offered to be by my side for any classes I took. Next big event was my labor.  At the beginning of my labor during contractions I would be breathless so her and my mom became points of contact. She did not skip a beat. I had a birth plan that I, myself, didn't quite follow. When things were happening that went against my birth plan, Britt made sure to ask me if that was what I wanted to make sure that my wishes were being followed to my liking. She gave massages through contractions, had essential oils and helped me all the way through. I appreciated her attentiveness through my labor. In recovery I found out they were admitting my baby to the NICU and I was an emotional mess. Britt was the ONLY person that said everything I needed to hear. Again, just a FEW things. I highly recommend her!

After much consideration on whether having a doula for my birth was what I wanted, we were recommended to speak with Britt. During our first conversation things simply felt right and once we met I couldn't be more sure that she's fit right in where we needed her most. Britt was always informing us, emotionally filling our spirit and empowering through the process. Though things during my birth changed, the entire time we were reassured by Britt that things were going to be ok, encouraging each step and decision and giving my husband and I space when we had our moment. Britt is so thoughtful and intentional. This we loved about her the most.

Britt was an incredibly calming, comforting, and supportive presence during my labor. I definitely could not have achieved the natural birth I wanted without her! My labor was very long and arudous - I had terrible back pains and I was stuck at 8cm dilation for upwards of 8 hours. Britt was at my side, massaging my back (and easing the back labor considerably), the entire time. She also brought some essential oils, which really helped with my nausea. I spent much of my labor on the toilet, and while I might have found that embarrassing, Britt helped me feel totally at ease, not hesitating at all to massage my back and help me out while I sat there. Her words of encouragement were much appreciated. I thought she did an excellent job of giving me space to discover how I wanted to labor, while being a constant source of support if and when I needed it.

She worked very well with my husband, showing him how he could participate and be helpful and enabling him to rest occasionally. If he was in any way skeptical of the need for a doula before my labor, Britt definitively proved that doulas are a necessity in the labor room! Also, she took amazing photos at the moment of the birth. I am very grateful to have had Britt at my daughter's birth, and I would highly recommend her!
