We hired Liz as our night doula and it was hands-down one of the best decisions we made! As first-time parents, we thought we were prepared after reading books and taking classes on "newborn care". Then our baby arrived and we realized how overwhelmed, sleep-deprived, and unsure we truly were about literally everything! All of that changed once Liz walked through our door. She was warm, inclusive, friendly, non-judgmental, and SO knowledgeable and helpful! She provided guidance on techniques to soothe, change, hold, and feed our newborn. She even helped us bathe and cut our newborn's nails for the first time! Additionally, Liz helped us make sure our nursery was set up in a way that was safe for a newborn.  

I was also incredibly impressed with Liz's professionalism and cleanliness. She was respectful of our home, helped with baby-related chores (e.g., preparing and cleaning bottles), and also ensured she stuck to our night-time routine to help the baby stay on a feeding schedule and to help us get as much sleep as possible.

Lastly, and most importantly, I was in awe of Liz's ability to connect with our baby the moment she walked through the door. We refer to her as "the baby whisperer" because she always seemed to know exactly what our baby needed. Our baby immediately stopped fussing and would fall asleep whenever she was in Liz's arms. As new parents, this instantly put us at ease and allowed us to sleep easily knowing our baby was in such great care overnight.

Overall, the time Liz spent with us our night doula was invaluable and I cannot recommend her enough!

What attracted me to Liz's services was her quote: "Everyone asks to hold the baby. Who holds the mother? I do." Liz has gone above and beyond for my family and for me. She was the first person I trusted to meet my child at the hospital shortly after giving birth, she has made herself available at all hours during my postpartum journey, and she has been tremendously comforting, encouraging, and kind to me. Do yourself the BIGGEST favor and hire her for the most important season of your life. You won't regret it, and you'll be thanking yourself that you did.

My husband and I gave birth to our son via gestational surrogate in Virginia Beach. For the first week of his life, we had the pleasure of working with LIz. She was an absolute angel and really made what could have been a stressful situation much easier. She had great tips for us, was on time or early for every night, and checked in with us during the days. We could tell our son was in good hands and that made us sleep well.

When we left VA Beach to return to our home in the DC area, we sadly had to part ways with Liz. We worked with a few other doulas and can confidently say Liz is a cut above them all. You will not find someone who is more warm, caring, and genuine than Liz. Not to mention she takes fantastic photos that we treasure!

We reommend Liz without reservation and believe she is one of the best in her industry.

Liz is the best! She has been helping me with my baby since she was a newborn. My daughter absolutely adores her and so do I! If you're wondering if you need this service, trust me you do. Liz's services are the best thing I could have invested in for my mental, physical and emotional well-being.
