My experience with Dr. Brown was beyond excellent! I live in Minnesota and desperately wanted an African American doula. Dr. Brown agreed to modify her plan to create a customized virtual program for us. During our prebirth consultations, she answered all our questions (even the ones we thought were silly) with care and detail. She is so knowledgeable. My biggest concern going into labor was preserving my pelvic floor and reducing the chances of having a c-section. Dr. Brown’s background as a PT, really helped us feel prepared for labor and confident that I could protect my body to prevent post-partum issues.

During the labor, Dr. Brown provided support via FaceTime. She guided my husband through pain reduction poises and helped me focus during contractions. Most importantly, as the labor entered the 14th hour, she coached me through my decision to get an epidural. She was very familiar with my birth plan and provided guidance based on my wishes.

In all, my birth experience was perfect. It exceeded my expectations thanks to Dr. Brown.
