Jodi is a fantastic doula. I'm a Family Physician, holding OB creds, and I think Jodie offers solid, safe doula practices, and is a very valuable member of the care team.

We enjoyed her classes, and I think my wife really liked being educated about the birthing process.  She went from "go-with-the-flow" to being an active patient, invested in care.  

She stays with families until the delivery, even if there has to be an operative delivery. She also offers a balanced approach, and ensures that safety and the PATIENT'S PRIORITIES are heard. She does so in a calm manner that is not adversarial with other members of the care team.  She's seasoned, level-headed, and knows her medicine.

She does not push services that aren't value-added or non-evidence based. The services she offers with classes are also very helpful and are empowering for those giving birth, and spouses alike!

Rebecca single-handedly changed the birth room atmosphere when she arrived at the hospital to help with my labor. Throughout my entire pregnancy, she brought a sense of calm and empowerment that proved crucial for my long labor. I will also be forever grateful for how she helped my partner prepare and aided him during the day of. Her ability to talk us through each medical decision before the staff brought it up was invaluable. Really, I can’t say enough about how much she helped us before, during, and after the arrival of our son. From explaining interventions I have never heard of to assisting with frustration in the early days of breastfeeding and everything in between. She is something special and I’m very grateful to have had her in my birth room.
