Having Sarah with us in the delivery room made a huge impact in making my birthing experience a positive one. From the moment I spoke with Sarah over the phone when I first inquired about her services, I knew she would be the perfect doula match for us. She just has that very warm and genuine personality that makes you feel calm and at ease when speaking with her. We met in person prior to my due date to go through my husband and I's birth plan, goals, etc. She was there to listen, give feedback if needed, and instilled confidence and positivity with us. For a first time mom, you can imagine the anxiety I felt as I got closer to my due date. Sarah was there through it all--from giving me resources, handouts, information and advice, she was always quick to respond and was so encouraging. Sarah truly gave me that confidence in myself as my due date approached. She made sure she was there through it all. She was just one text or call away! I've had countless questions that I always felt were nonsense, but Sarah was always so encouraging that I asked even more! I gave birth at a hospital, thankfully at the time a second person was allowed so we fortunately had Sarah by our side. Sarah was there from the moment I told her I needed her--when we were still home prior to heading to the hospital. She helped me with my preferred nonpharmacological pain relief techniques before I decided we should head for the hospital. When I was in active labor (mostly without medications), Sarah was there to hold my hand, give me that sense of peace and calmness that I needed most especially during those moments. She ensured that my husband felt confident in helping me through the process. He felt he was also involved and was an active part of the process. I honestly wouldn't have had an amazing birth experience if it weren't for Sarah. My husband and I are truly grateful and will forever appreciate what Sarah has done for our little family.

Sarah is positively the best person to have at your side throughout the pregnancy, birth and postpartum journey. I told her often she was my calm place! Considering my journey happened during Covid-19 I needed the extra calm. She always balanced me in the most gentle and loving manner. When I found out I had to take a three hour glucose test I was extremely worried. Sarah offered to go with me to help my nerves and assured me no matter what obstacle may arise that we would overcome it together. When my due date came and went I was scheduled to be induced. Sarah gave me a healthy perspective and encouraged me to let my doctor know how I felt. Even though she couldn't be there due to Covid restrictions, she helped me find my voice by empowering me! She also gave me tips on how to naturally induce labor and offered to walk up and down steep hills with me to get that baby moving. When I started having contractions Sarah came to my house and showed me how my belly would tighten during a contraction which was reassuring. Due to Covid the hospital only let my partner in but Sarah was with me in spirit and gave me many mental and physical tools to use. When I came home with my daughter Sarah was there to help with meals, housekeeping, etc. She made sure that both me and my partner were getting rest and nourishment. Although my daughter had no problem latching and breastfeeding wasn't an issue, Sarah was well prepared to help with any lactation needs. When I went back to work my daughter refused to take a bottle. Sarah was a wealth of knowledge on the topic and gave me tactics to use that we've had great success with! Sarah has been and continues to be a breath of fresh air and warm presence whose knowledge and experience is vast. I highly recommend her! I would have been so lost without her. Because of her I was able to fully enjoy my experience and I even think my daughter has been such an easy and joyful baby because of Sarah's presence throughout our journey.
