Our birth experience with Liz was nothing short of magic!  She had met up with us several times before our first baby was to be born, and was so helpful in sharing information and getting us ready for the big day.  The knowledge and experience that she brought to us was so very helpful and made preparations so much more pleasant.

Once my contractions started, I was in contact with Liz - and she was on her way to our house for the home birth experience as the contractions were stronger and more frequent.  She was with us for an entire 24-hour stretch even as our planned home birth went on longer than anticipated, and was there every step of the way as we had to transfer to the hospital for Pitocin to help progress the contractions.  Not only did she come to the hospital, but she stuck through with us until after our baby girl made her entrance to the world!  My husband and I could not have done it without the help of Liz, she was able to coach us on techniques to help progress move along, and stay calm in such an emotional time. She is a truly amazing person with such great skills as a doula, I would recommend Liz to anyone that is going to be having a baby, and especially so if you are a first time expecting mother, or someone that is looking for the most peaceful birth experience possible.

Thank you,

Klair, Paul, & baby Lylah

Our doula Liz was an absolute godsend! During my pregnancy she helped answer the many questions I had, and was always happy to provide resources and anecdotes from her vast experience. She helped guide me to be as informed and planful as I was wanted to be, and I learned how to advocate for myself in ways I would never have thought of on my own. She was our champion during childbirth, helping to explain and normalize the process while being such a calming and motivating presence. Somehow her help post-partum was even more valuable - having someone come check-in after the baby arrived and we were stressed out beyond belief was a lifesaver. Liz helped with both practical things (like getting a load of dishes done) along with deeply emotional things (like convincing a new parent that they are doing the best they can, and doing a great job). I cannot recommend her highly enough! She will always be so special for helping to bring our little boy into the world.

Birthing babies is an incredibly overwhelming and very often difficult experience - having Liz as a doula eased the uncertainty and anxiety inherent to the process and inspired confidence in this new mom that she can, indeed, do this thing!
